** Claire's low carb blah blah chit chat gabbing **

Do you think that you are overdoing the processed stuff? Jim's "frankenfoods"! Try a week with as little as possible and see what happens? I know it hurts but I have forsworn alcohol this week to see if that makes any difference to me..............

Yes i guess you could be right Bren. Just been to the market and bought celeriac, purpley-green savoy cabbage, mushies, cucumber, loose leaf lettuce, aubergine, strawbs, brocolli.

Not long been up and about, really sleepy atm.

Just cooking a gammon steak to have to see me through till tea which i intend on doing 2 fresh 100% beef burgers and celeriac chips with some greenery.

Does anyone know the best way to do celeriac chips??

I posted some recipes on the recipe thread, will see if I can find them - but basically, chop up like thick chips, parboil and then with the lid on, shake them about a bit to roughen up the edges, then in the oven at 200c for 30-35 mins.

Thanks hun, i'm really looking forward to them! Is it best to spray them with oil before putting into the oven or having any oil on the baking sheet?

B. Sleep
D. Sleep
S. Gammon steak
T. Celeriac chips, 2 100% beef burgers, brocolli, dollop tommy k (yummy yummy tea, really enjoyed it)

May make a mim later with strawbs n cream, depending on time n how hungry i get.

They were v.v.v.v.v.yummy! Couldn't believe how much they shrunk in the oven though lol. Did half a sodding celeriac but only got a few chips. Made a lovely change though!!

They really are special, and feel naughty, don't they? :D

Wi this morning showed -2lb on yesterday's so i'm kinda hoping that means i'm -1lb overall for this week?? Fuzzy logic i'm sure. Must stop weighing i think but can't quite bring myself to pack it in. Sometimes it's a motivator, sometimes it's not according to the results ofc.

D. Roast chicken, celeriac mashed with butter, savoy cabbage, brocolli, gravy

S. Quak's cheesy flax biccy thingies with soft cheese on top. Not toooo bad really. Probs spread them a lil thinner next time. They're crispy on the outside n soft on the inside this time round. Edible though and a nice lil snack.

Mawnin'! x
