Coffeelovers Under 10lbs To Go

Thanks, I'm on town this week, so will pop into H&B. I recognise some of the ingredients as being from pineapple and papaya which are meant to be really good for digestion and weight loss if not on lc & am going to pretend I didn't see ox bile on the label- WTF?!

Soraya... No harm in taking a little ox bile every day!! You know what they say - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger! Lol. Xx

Ugh ox bile, that can't be good off to look at ingredients. I know there is a vegetarian version of them. Here is something I found:

Bile is manufactured in your liver, and then stored in your gall bladder until it's ready to be squirted into the intestine to aid fat digestion. In order to safely and effectively supplement your liver's natural production, ox bile has been used for many years as a food supplement.*
Ox bile contains the lipase enzymes you need to break down dietary fat.* In addition, it includes other substances that help emulsify the fat into small, easily-absorbed micro-droplets.* Without this emulsification, the fat from your food may glob together in big blobs and be difficult to process.
The 400 mg of ox bile included in Digestive Enzymes will give your digestive tract plenty of help in digesting essential fats.*



Really busy yesterday working and enjoying the good weather.

Ate badly for lunch crisps sandwiches potato salad, wine, but still the same weight this morning. Going to be careful today for damage limitation.

Amazing what they put in things, eh? I've had to buy organic chickpeas to avoid citric acid and stablisiers and something Tesco lists as "Temptext10" in the canned version!
 
Morning Sandra,Tamzy and all. It's gale force winds and snowing here! The wind was so wild it woke me from a deep sleep. Can't believe It was so sunny and warm the week before.

Had a sneaky peak at the scales this morning after scoffing potato salad, lots of crisps and wine over the weekend and I'm still 1lb down. I'm surprised because I felt like I've gained some, but really happy so going to be good this week.

B- 1 slice of brown soda bread w/ 1 quorn sausage, mushrooms & a slice of leerdammer cheese melted on top- yummy
L- Big salad w/cashew nut butter vinegarette &
D- aubergine parmesan
 
Afternoon Val, I bought the veggie River Cottage book, some of the recipes look to be adaptable for Atkins when I get some time in the kitchen.

Morning everyone. Thanks Di I was surprised, but not going to record it yet will wait until tomorrow's official weigh in. Cold but sunny and a beautiful day. I'm working the late shift boo, but then 11 days off. So looking forward to it.

Couldn't sleep last night with palpitations and I've no reason why? Can stress bring them on? Anyhow was going to shred before work so maybe it will kill or cure me. Didn't dare to weigh myself as I had a lovely golden hot cross bun from m&s when I got home from work. Just planned to have half but it was so good and ate the whole thing. Anyhow I was below my calories for yesterday so hopefully will be ok.

Yep that's the one, hun, it has some nice recipes in it - but I also really like the BBC Food website - you google an ingredient, eg courgettes, and it lists all the recipes with that in it - and they've been tried and rated by readers. They prduce books too, cheap ans chips on Amazon :)
 
Morning all, Supposed to go sofa shopping today, but oh dragging his feet. He's a wake up and relax leisurely breakfast etc and I'm a wake up and get out then get home and relax:(

Have a headache after too much wine and vodka last night and losing the will to go out at all.

half a stone to go before goal but don't know how much more I can lose? I'm upping my goal to 9 stone because of exercise I'm toned. Would love to see an 8 on the scale, but not going to obsess about it anymore.

Surprised to see after looking a mfp for the last month that I'm usually under 1200 calories (counting in exercise calories) and not hungry at all. Not trying to be under 1200 just the way it's been. Pretty much eating what I want but trying to keep carbs at around 90 per day, so not really low carb but suppose compared to some diets it's lowish?

L- maybe get oh to buy me lunch somewhere?

Hi Susie, I'm not a real fan of quiona but it's good cold in a salad. It's funny looking, with not much flavor on it's own, but absorbs flavors and is a good substitute for rice. The salad is from m&s with a lovely soy and ginger dressing.

I love quinoa - used to have it as much as possible and there's so much you can do with it! Yum! It's SO good for you !

Morning everyone. Rainy day and I've got the house to myself so going to pull my bean bag up to the fire and read.

No sofa sorted yet Bren. We decide on one then a few days later think it looks awful. Think the classic route is the best.

Thanks Di, but I've eaten a lot of junk the last couple of days and it's showing up on the scales, so a lean day today. Got a lot of low carb wraps and pita bread coming next week. I really prefer them to the carby ones now. Had a real wholewheat pita the other day and it felt like lead in my stomach so don't miss them at all. Just wish the low carb ones weren't so expensive!

Got a big meal planned tomorrow for just us, so hope I can get back on track.
