Coffeelovers Under 10lbs To Go

Lol:)

Lol @ Lisa,

Ugh can't stop eating for Scotland and America Sandra.

Sounds a good plan Susie, was thinking along the same lines. Totally out of control at the moment and don't know why. x

You've had a huge change in your life Val - your son on another continent is so worrying but hopefully as he settles and sleeps and does well it will have a positive effect on you and you'll get more focus !! Big hugs... Xxx

Aren't students just naturally insomniacs? ;) I'm sure his sleeping patterns will settle in as he does.

Morning everyone, getting ready for work today and doing some extra hours! ugh.

Anyhow, eating still out of control. Starting today I'm doing low carb (around 50g a day) and then going incorporate the 5.2 plan. My stomach is massive from all the wheat. It's amazing how that can happen. I feel so bloated need to get rid of it.

Been speaking to my son on face time and it's wonderful to be able to see him, although not sure about the messy room lol. Got him a pillow top for his mattress and he said it's great and he's sleeping a lot better with just the odd night of not sleeping well which he can handle.

Have a good weekend xx

Today:

eggs w/quorn sausage
salad w/bbq chicken
? chicken w/veg and Strictly starts tonight yippee.

Morning Val, good news about your son sleeping better. Hope work is ok today. You will soon lose the tummy, just give it a couple of days to get back into the zone. Enjoy strictly later x

Glad to hear your son's sleeping well. I had the same problem at uni, horrible bed, couldn't sleep at all until dad bought me one of those foam toppers - and then I slept all the time! (hated halls though, lasted one term so a bit of a waste of money ultimately).

Honestly, wheat is so bad for us and it's so easy not to realize it until you're used to low carb. I eat it now and blow up like a balloon. But it's such a food crutch - in everything. I wonder if our palates were always designed to like it, as it's certainly not a food we'd be able to eat without farming and processing, or if we gradually got used to it as it was so cheap and plentiful. There are plenty of cultures after all where it's still not a big part of the diet.

Hmmmm.

Morning, totally agree about the wheat, when I eat it I have to take my rings off as my fingers swell so much.. a few days of low carb will sort you out.

Afternoon love, how's your weekend going?

Orbs is cuddled up on my shoulder and we're settling down to watch the 5th Element - one of my all time favs

LOL I might have a glass of white when the shopping arrives. Did I tell you I've given up red wine wahhhh? Just sets off my hayfever too often (sob)

Afternoon, back on a sort of plan today. Basically not eating everything in site. Just going to reduce the amount I'm eating. Also not weighing in until end of week.

Chucking it down here :(

x

Hi Val, weather's not up to much here either - grey and cool :(

I reckon many more people have problems with wheat than ever realise it. My problem is that I just can't stop eating it once I've started - I'm sure it's my worst binge-trigger by far.

Good luck with getting your eating back on track - reducing the volume is never a bad place to start! :)

Evening Val... Sounds like the focus is returning xxx

Hello Val, glad to hear your son is sleeping better, not surprising it has been a bit iffy - that is a big change to go through - good luck getting back into the dieting, I find down days so much easier than up ones........the control seems to go missing on the up days xx

Hi Bren -how are you?

He seems to have good and bad nights, but the young can tolerate it better I think.

Are you doing JUDDD, I really liked it. I'm slowly easing my way into it by just cutting amount I'm eating this week. I totally agree I need the control and tight rules of a DD. Give me any leeway and I'll eat everything in sight.
