Cokes- back to it

Fantastic loss Rach!! Well done! x :wow:

Thank you all. I have been really good and the jogging must help. I'm happy to continue on atkins as it just feels right for me. I am having the day off from jogging though as my back still fels a little strange, not hurting just weird and after having a bad back earlier this year I know when there a sign to rest it. I did a little bit of wii. Mainly just to show my sister what to do. She seemed to enjoy it but was terrible at the step game. I kept trying to give her tips to help her stick to pace but it made things worse! Its always hard when you start with getting coordinated, I was awful at first too. She's gonna try and do it every week when she comes up. She did the afternoon dog walk with me too.

I feel quite tired today, prob as I haven't been as active, but thats ok. John is playing football tonight so I can laze around later in front of the tv. I'm really hungry now, Ive got one of those mattheson smokey's for dinner. Just don't know what to put with it. I'll think of something

I usually have Mattesons with a little mustard and mayo dressing, and some spinach or iceberg lettuce for that all important crunch :D

Hope the back doesn't give you any more probs! Just keep going easy until it completely settles down :)

Morning Rach, how's your back feeling today?

Morning all! My back still feels a little strange. I'm sure it's just from using those muscles more when playing squash. It doesn't actually hurt. I just don't want to get to the point where it does as I could hardly walk the last time, so I'm still taking it easy.

Had my health check this morning which went well. She was happy my weight is coming down and my BP was 100/68 which is good. Took a few stabs to get blood for a glucose test, in the end she found a vein on my knuckle. I have very few useable veins close to the surface. I will phone in a week to find out my glucose result as I'm interested to know what it is.

I'm sitting at my computer with my head wrapped in a towel. I am busy getting rid of my grey hair. I have found a nice mocha shade which is meant to be nice shiny intense colour so we'll see how it turns out

Just dried my hair and I'm seriously wondering if the wrong colour was in the box. It's not what I expected based on the colour on the box. My hair looks black. I expected more brown. The result makes me look pasty skinned. It says theres a money back if not satisfied on the box but for £4 I really couldn't be bothered. At least my greys are covered :(

Lol - morning morticia
:D

It's permanent so shouldn't wash out. I've found that the light in the bedroom makes it look more brown, but in bathroom mirror it looks black. It doesn't even look any shinier Susie and I'm quite dissapointed with that. It feels nice enough but I wanted glossy. I will probably dye it again in a few weeks. I was excited to do it though as I haven't dyed my hair in months and the last time was a salon. I used to always dye my own hair especially when I used to have it red. Like I say at least it covered the greys so its not all bad. I'll probably get used to it as I have had my hair very dark before, I mean my natural isn't exactly light brown!

Been for the 4 mile walk with the dogs. Rain threatened but stayed off. I was thinking of asking my BiL Joe if he would do a few personal training sessions with me. 1- to kick my butt and 2- to help me look at training the whole body so I'm less likely to injure myself. He's a tennis coach and trains people to get their fitness right for the game. He has trained a youth who recently won a comp and had his pic in a fitness magazine so I'm hoping he wouldn't mind helping me a little. I'm gonna ask John tonight if he thinks he would do it. He's a nice lad so I'm thinking he will fingers crossed.

What about getting a few highlights just a shade or two lighter?

Re glossy hair, my hairdresser (a mad gay Spaniard, natch) works on photo shoots in the West End and he says no supermarket hair products do what they promise. I get my hugely expensive Philip Kingsley shampoo and conditioner from the salon, but I only use a tiny bit each time and I can honestly say my hair has never looked or felt better.

Just a thought for your treat when you reach your next target :D

Hi Rach. Personal trainer sounds like an interesting idea if you think it would help. I have to admit as a notorious taurean more likely i would punch one if they told me what to do......;)
Xx

Probably dull for others Susie.......a lot of Not doing things tends to transpire! Unfortunately DD seems to have inherited some characteristics (and she doesn't even have the taurean excuse! ;) ). Did you know the verb declines like this...
I am determined
YOU are stubborn
SHE is pig headed :D

I don't think I would punch my BiL! John said he will work me really hard so I need to invest in a proper sports bra first.

Re the hightlights Susie, I have had them before. For some reason hairdressers always have a bit of a moan doing mine as they say I still have red dye in my hair, which I don't I had it all cut off after the red. One time I was sat in the chair for hours and all they managed to do was make my hair ginger which I dyed back to brown myself the next day. One lot of highlights I had went ok but I think I suit browns and reds. I would like a slice of purple put in my hair some time, like the colour Clairecat dyed hers recently. We'll see but re the treat I may get myself some nice Redken shampoo. Their All Soft Shampoo is lush
