Consolidation CONSO COMPLETED, DIARY CLOSED

Happy Christmas, Laura. Hope you have a wonderful time.

And good luck with resisting the date temptation! ;-)

Have a lovely Christmas Laura, and I hope the happy times outweigh any sad memories

xx

Have a good xmas hun xxxx

Well, Christmas went well. Dinner on Christmas eve was smoked salmon, frogs' legs, no cheese for me and Christmas pud (lovely). The best part was getting the pressies out for the kids once they were in bed (after seeing that Santa was in Europe it happened very quickly:D) and have a wee whisky and enjoy the silence.

Christmas morning, much excitement. We had 'normal' food though as our Christmas meal was yesterday although I had a big slice of Christmas cake but apart from that was a normal cruise PV day so should be OK.

Yesterday went well, SIL was in a reasonable mood (no sulking) but we couldn't get up their hill because of the snow/ice (we had neither so didn't think it would be a problem before leaving), BIL had to bring us up from the village in his jeep. Anyway, nearly all Dukan-friendly (smoked salmon, prawns, oysters - didn't eat, foie gras/bread - had a tiny piece, maybe 10 gr, turkey, cardoon gratin - cheese ration for the day and bread already eaten with fg, no room for anything else but had a spoonful of yule log from DH's plate and a tangerine) so counting that as a normal day's food, especially as I couldn't really eat in the evening (another tangerine and a yogurt).

So off to my brother and family today, back Thursday, then off on friends for New Year Friday, so back here on Monday. Will try and remember to weigh in on Friday, but tbh, it's not going to be Dukan-friendly all week. As we're leaving brother's on Thursday, we'll try and keep it PP (hard boiled eggs, smoked salmon, cold meat - not great but the kids will want McD while we're travelling and I'm NOT eating there).

Hope everyone had a good time and Happy New Year when it comes.

Am looking forward to getting back to normal, had forgotten how nice Christmas cake was but it does stay heavy on the old belly for ages:eek:. Just as well it's only once a year...

cool Laura great work !!!! have a lovely new year

Hi Laura glad you had a good one. I feel the same way about Xmas pud as you do about the cake - 3 portions, 3 days in a row (with cream) but I felt it sitting in my tummy:D We have a lot of family coming over on Monday but I think I may make a trifle for dessert (I am after Tan's Baileys recipe!!)

Talking of oysters made me think of when I went on a school french exchange when I was 14, and oyster was the first thing they dished up to me:cry:I never have been very good with shellfish!!

Laura I wish I had your willpower - you've done brilliant and looks like you're enjoying yourself too (well, I am enjoying myself too, but probably with repercussion...)

That's not nice of them. I am going to cook some oysters so that I enjoy them but I can't do the raw ones. Daughter ate one with lemon juice, chewed it well (yuck) and said it was OK but she didn't like it much. Considering she says this for most things, she probably quite enjoyed it.

Anyway +700gr for me. Quite good considering that includes all Christmas fodder and that I was at my brother/SIL's since Monday (they're both thin as rakes but eat loads) so no Dukan food (save porridge, but I forgot the sweetner so had sugar) and lots of whisky, more Christmas cake (brother said he wouldn't have it if I didn't taste it too) and yesterday (came home so 4 1/2 hours on motorway to contend with) didn't manage PP at all - well, did for lunch but not for breakfast (sugared porridge and a tangerine - forgot it was Thursday) dinner (had salad and chicken) and sneaked a digestive in there too so I think I'll make Sunday a PP day and go from there.

Went for a long walk though, a little swimming (in a physio's pool - heated to body temperature - lovely - SIL cleans there in the evenings and is allowed to use the pool when the physios aren't there) and about 1500 calories burned on exercise bike since last weekend.

Today, going to friends for new year, so will be reasonably restrained but will enjoy myself and my food too - definitely a gala meal. Tomorrow will be PV conso + carbs as we'll be there for lunch too.

So Happy New Year everyone and we'll soon all be back on track!

OK Gala meal++:eek: for Friday

2 beers
smoked salmon
foie gras/bread and small glass of sauternes
steak
potato mushroom gratin
tiny amount of floating island
coffee, lots of water

Food today (another gala meal)

B - Dukan cake
L - more steak leftover from yesterday while heating lunch, veal, leftover potato gratin, yule log
D - no idea, not hungry, might force down a tangerine

Morning!

PP today (didn't manage to do it properly on Thursday so that's to make up for then) and will do another one on Thursday and hopefully that will have me back on track. Both gala meals gone for the week:eek: so plan is Sunday PP, Monday PV conso + carbs, Tuesday PV conso, Wednesday PV conso + carbs, Thursday PP, Friday PV conso.

Glad to be back on plan properly as I feel very heavy with all the rich food. I did enjoy it though!

Also, need to get back to proper exercise - weather's not great for walking (we have more or less all got a dose of sniffles and it's damp out) but I have new Miss Marple DVDs to pedal along to so will get down to the basement later and burn some fat!

Hope all have a good day!

hey hun hope your well xxxx

Hi Tan, am fine - a bit bloated (all my own work) but will be sorted out by tomorrow as PP today!

Today's offerings

B - porridge
L - smoked salmon with fromage blanc/lemon juice, omelette
D - roast chicken, yogurt

So, back on track properly. Kids go back to school today. Will spend an hour pedalling this morning then need to get some food shopping done. This afternoon is toy decluttering - need to get rid of what's not played with any more while they're not here or there will be protests!

Unfortunately can't take the tree down, a friend wants to see it and as she's coming mid-January, no point in putting it away to take it out again so soon. Husband made it out of packing crates and it's drummed up quite a bit of interest! Getting rid of the nativity scene and everything else not on the tree though. Glad to get some of the house space back!

Food today - PV conso + carbs

B - Dukan porridge and apple
L - fish in white sauce -skimmed milk, mustard, cornflour and spinach
S - bread and cheese
D - chicken curry with some rice, tangerine

Laura that fish in white sauce sounds good. Can I have that without veg on PP days? Just need some more ideas.

Yup, I have it on PP days, often with some prawns or smoked salmon to liven it up. It's nice too (the white sauce) with chopped parsley mixed in but I'm out of parsley (used the last freezer supplies at Christmas).

I mixed the spinach in with the white sauce though (and a little nutmeg) and it was really good.

Your diary makes good reading... and your gain is very insignificant! Well done Robin!
