Cookie's diary to be joyously slim

Hello hello! I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

So far its been a nice easy day, we were supposed to be going to the gym early this morning but instead we stayed in bed so no circuit class :)
Today for the 2nd time this year I'm cooking something I've never made before from scratch, pulled pork. I have to say it doesn't seem quite right at the moment but I'll make it work, its still got a couple of hours cooking yet.

Football is on, first game of the day! The BF is already tense! Xx

Meal hasn't gone quite to plan, the pulled pork needs longer cooking to be really tender

So today's food is EE:-
B = scan bran carrot cake (1/2 hex b +2), fruit salad & yogurt.
L = tomato & herb mug shot, fruit & yogurt
D = roast chicken breast, carrots, broccoli, sprouts, SW chips, gravy (2)
A = rice pudding, fruit & yogurt.

Lovely, I've got my hex a to use and 1/2 a hex b so maybe cheese on toast later? Hi fi light bar & latte? Not sure yet. Here's tea & pud :)

I had that problem with pulled pork, somewhere on here someone suggested cooking it in the slow cooker, maybe in the recipie forum? Keep meaning to try it but a bit scared as it didn't work in the oven really!

Hi Jen, it been a bit troublesome from the start, the skin & fat were really hard to remove I had to get Brett to do it. I popped it in the slow cooker this morning and it was still tough at 3pm after just over 7 hours (hence my jaunt to Tesco for a cooked chicken!)
Now though it seems to be tender (its had 10.5 hrs) so were having it tomorrow but I don't think its worth this much hassle to be honest.

How are you, how's your weekend been? Xx

Ah ok I. Won't try it then. Lovely day yesterday with hubby and son. But hubby went away for work this morning so we are missing him :-( but had a lovely day distracting Tom at Styal mill. How's your weekend been?

Aww bless you, I'd hate it if Brett worked away, I had trouble sleeping when I was in Cardiff for two days I missed him so much.

Weekend has been nice, its been football filled though. Its just been nice to spend time together and recharge our batteries after having really busy weeks. I'm on late shifts this week so I won't see him now until Thursday :( Not the best but can't complain too much as it's my career choice. Food wise I've been good stayed on plan so hoping for another loss.

Ah I know but again it's his career choice and we made the decision together but it's still hard. Glad your weekends been good I am hoping for a loss too. Even took my own lunch today to make sure!

Hello, I'm pleased to say I went to the gym for the first time this year! It was hard but I enjoyed it, I did a body combat class for 45mins and I sweated a lot. Came home to a nice bath and relax before work this afternoon.

Food today is EE:-
B = rice pudding, fruit salad & yogurt.
L = pulled pork (1.5) salad with beetroot, fruit & yogurt
S = hi fi light bars (hex b) & clementines
D = pulled pork (1.5), carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, sprouts, peas, sweet corn, mash potato
A = latte (hex a +2) French fries (4)
Total syns = 9

The pulled pork looks more like a stew but it does taste nice, I added some Levi roots sauce hence the syns

Hello work is cold, very wet & is dragging some tonight. I hope everyone is having a nice evening. The pulled pork did in fact fall apart & tasted delicious. It looked my like a stew though but very tasty! We're having it again tomorrow as there's so much of it & some for the freezer.
2.5hrs left to go xx
