CornishTT''s weight loss diary

I can't eat too much veg or I stall so I try to stick to the 3 cups max - generally I now only eat veg with one meal per day.

i know a lot of people swear by it but I've never trusted MFP. I once asked it for the amount of carbs in broccoli and got about 30 completely different results -now i just add up what I've eaten throughout the day x

So pleased you are going back to the shred!!!! 5cm, fantastic!!!!! That's the problem with the scales...... I'm going to join you with the limited veg, tesco frozen spinach is my best friend :) x

Don't they just, Meg!?

Thanks Teeney, I am going to do day 11 today, first day of level 2. I won't be jumping around like a jack rabbit though, doing marching, stepping jacks, etc for the cardio bit. This is going to be more challenging but I need to do it! I had a day's rest yesterday but still did lots of walking with kids and up hill (with two in a buggy that's a workout on its own!). I am going to do 2-3 days of shred a week and 3-4 days of walking (2miles) a week. 1 day rest.

Menu today:
B - Coffee with 2 tsp cream (large cup), 3 med boiled eggs, half avo, herbamare salt
L - lamb chops with 1 cup fresh spinach fried in butter
D - Roast chicken with 1 cup lettuce and a few radishes.
S - 1 slice masadamer cheese & 1 Slice ham, rolled up (Atkins sushi! :D)
and try for 3l water again today.

Hope you all have a good day, I'm rushing to do house! x

Re: My Atkins diary

Thanks Susie, they were yum! They are expensive but I just got them as a treat, was only meant to have 2 but had 4 (they were only small). I usually have a south african spice on them but I've discovered it contains sugar so can't use that. Plain herbamare pan fried and finished off under grill, slightly pink inside.

Menu changed slightly as went out for dinner, Prezzo, so had salmon and salad. In a bid to try and limit my veg intake to a cup a meal I had an ingenious idea. I know that the kids IKEA cups are actually a cup's measure so I took it in my handbag and measured my salad. I apologised to my friend in advance but she said I did it very discreetly, lol.

The waiter looked at me a little weird for leaving salad (there was probably 2 cups worth left over) but luckily my food (cold salmon fillet with avo, baby toms, cucumber and lettuce, no dressing) came in a bowl on a plate so I didn't need to ask for an extra plate, but something to remember, order extra plate/bowl in future meals out. The cup is now a staple in my handbag.

No 30DS either yesterday as even though I didn't have the kids time went super speedy yesterday. Didn't even have time to catch up on here! Only got home from dinner at 10.45pm and with my son waking up lately around 4am for the past week I am exhausted, I even cancelled going to see my friend with the 2 week old. :(

So, menu for today:
B - egg, bacon and cheese sandwich (eggs are the 'bread' in this case) with half avo
L - pork belly with broccoli
D - roast chicken & lettuce
S - ham n roll ups
Drink more water/green tea! (didn't drink enough yesterday).

hope you all have a fab day, hope to catch up on diaries.

I love lamb but it is so £££ these days - when I can get it I buy neck fillet, it's a bit cheaper and is lovely sliced into pieces and fried with some courgettes :)

Hope you get some rest love, I was awake at 4am for my loo run, but managed to go back to sleep!

Re: My Atkins diary

Good morning peeps!

TMI ALERT : Totm has come around again and it's hurting, bad! I am taking 'double whammys' (as we call em at home, ibuprofen and paracetamol) as often as I'm allowed. I've also been taking evening primrose oil as per Susie's recommendations, I think it's helped. Anyone else have a dramatic change in their 'monthlies' after having kids?

Anyway, menu today:
B - Egg, cheese n bacon sarnie
L - Chinese belly pork n broccoli (recipe below)
D - salmon and lettuce salad
S - ham n olive roll up
Drink - Water n green tea

Chinese (inspired) belly pork n broccoli
2 belly rashes chopped and fried
add broccoli in small florets near end of frying time.
In a small cup mix 1 tbsp low salt soya sauce, 1tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1/16tsp cinnamon, 1/16tsp ground star anise, 1/16tsp ginger and a touch of sweetener and add to pan.
Let reduce a little then turn off heat, add a glug of sesame oil, serve, yum!)

have a good day y'all! x
