Daily menus

Ok so getting peeved again sticking to diet 100% scales going up (again) was going to do PP day but really don't fancy another meat only day so going to have PV, go for a swim and drink lots and see what happens. If it continues again then I lose it's a cycle, if I don't lose significantly I'm reassessing. On the up side people are noticing and commenting that I'm looking trimmer (which I am).
B - small amount ff vanilla yoghurt, 1 x slice dukan bread, extra light philly
L - salad, tuna
D - actually had warm chicken salad with beetroot, pickled onion, tomato and cucumber

Hi Jo - thanks I am trying otherwise I will get very bored but with 2 young kids I always cook their meals so easy to adapt for me too!
Just wondered I have tried making your (sweet) muffin recipes a couple of times and they don't taste right at all. The only thing I can think is that I hand mix the egg whites and maybe I'm not getting them "stiff" oohh err missus enough. I made them last night with a ff cherry yoghurt and almond flavouring (trying to get a bakewell tart flavour) but nope didn't taste right!
Any thoughts?
Thanks
x

bought mine from tesco for about £14 it had a whisk attachment with it...works a charm...fluffed to a nice stiff peak :D

make sure it has the whisk attachment in the box and not just the chopper

the electric whisks are ok - but the handblender is multi-purpose...blends, chops, whisks...

whisks just whisk

and food processors are HUGE!!!

I only made sweet muffins the once - and I didn't think the artificial overly sweet taste from the sweetener "worked" with the taste of the brans so I stuck to savoury thereafter. (I use 1 tablespoon of wheatbran in my muffins too, slightly nutty flavour).

I always whisk my egg whites... and use large eggs to be sure to have plenty of white (and throw away a yolk or two, such a waste!)

<you two made me smile - and at this unearthly hour, with a general strike on here today, that's a feat!>

PP

B - porridge
L - ham, crabsticks, smoked salmon, hard boiled egg white, fromage blanc
D - steak, yogurt
S - fromage blanc

PP
Breakfast - yogurt, hard boiled egg
Lunch- baked salmon, with splash of balsamic
Dinner - curried mince

Hmmm my blender doesn't have a whisk attachment but I see you can get a whisk from Argos for £4 - bargain though am sure my biceps would benefit from some more manual whisking!
Yes the sweet ones were too artificially sweet so I lost the sweetener and added yoghurt but that didn't help guess cos they're full of sweetener too! Next time savoury muffin then!
Anyway it's last chance saloon for Dukan put on at least 3lbs :cry:feel yuck (could be pmt but I don't think that should mean this weight gain!) so this is my last week of it otherwise I'm trying something else.:mad:

PP
B - 2 egg omlette, mixed herbs, small amount of quark
L - Dukan porridge probably and babybel light
D - chicken griddled with pink peppercorn and lemon juice, splash of ff yoghurt as it was bit dry!
Snack - WW yogurt frozen

It was - initially! Then they went down and now they're right back up again in fact this morning almost back to where I started ....... I could understand if I was cheating but I'm and not even started doing a kettlebell workout with a dvd - aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggghhhhhhhhhhhh.

If this is all you ate yesterday, aside from the fact that the veg etc of a PV day can cause water retention (and depending where you are with TOTM, transit etc etc), it doesn't look to me as if you're eating ENOUGH! (be careful not to go over your 2 tablespoon oatbran allowance by having Dukan bread AND a muffin... but I guess you factored that in?)

B - small amount ff vanilla yoghurt, 1 x slice dukan bread, extra light philly
L - salad, tuna

D - actually had warm chicken salad with beetroot, pickled onion, tomato and cucumber
Snack - Dukan muffin

B porridge and yogurt
L mini quiches
D spiced beef

pp

b-oatbran porridge and a boiled egg
l-thai chicken cakes
d-pork cutlet and two fried eggs
s-yogurt
actually managed to get 20 mins free step on wii in today. Kids are going to daycare soon so when i have lost my weight i can get a personal trainer for a couple of months so i can try and get rid of my belly

Thanks for all your thoughts and support Jo the bread was half my oatbran intake and the muffin (though I didn't eat all of it) was a third of daily intake so I didn't even have my proper 2tbs worth! Transit is ok ;) so could be plain old water retention but I'm drinking plenty - maybe drinking too much but not eating enough it's just that I'm not that hungry and if I'm out and about and if there's nothing Dukan friendly I don't eat so I'm only eating 3 x meals a day really maybe with a ff yogurt in the evening.
It's totally weird I'm eating SO much less than before and I'm stuck where I started!! :sigh:

Hang in there flutter... It will come off...
