That is exactly why i do not do indian cooking. Not because i don't like it, but its too complex. All the spices which, unless people are indian, dont tend to have hanging about in the kitchen, ingredients that cannot be sourced in the local supermarket (remember that smaller towns dont have indian shops, here there is not even an indian corner store, which, when i was in Rugby, were awesome places for getting the bits required) and time consuming. Lets face it, the typical person will cook something simple and quick after a day at work or doing whatever, and to cook an Indian meal is a special treat some bloke would do for his wife (sorry to stereotype) on a Saturday evening.
i have an indian recipe book somewhere, and i remember the main crux being the author saying about being prepared with an onion base pre made. And even that was hard work going by his method. If you could nail quick and easy recipes that will allow similar results then great. Hey, what about setting up a business selling the spices in packs for each recipe? Mail order korma, biriani, passanda, ect. The majority of people dont want to go out and buy 6 - 8 jars of spices of which they will only use a teaspoon from each.
You know i was interested in adding Your recipes to my site, and would have done all the work for it, just copied them from here, but with hindsight, that was a lot of work for me as well, it would have been a lot easier just to post a page of links to your recipes here. But, of course i would take a look for you, and that offer would still stand if you wanted to chat about it. But if you can make someone like me, who loves to cook, actually want to cook indian recipes then great.
