Evening Daz - whats on the menu for lunch tomorrow? Ive no idea what im doing, the boys will be going to the pub as usual but they will want something before they go. I bought a piece of Skirt at the butchers (no funny comments about clothing lol) its really to make a dinner with but ive never cooked it before
Lamb rump for me again i think. Not sure if i will roast some spuds or have mustard mash. Actually, i think im out of mustard???? Crap. Roasts then. With veg.
Never had skirt but most seem to grill or fry it like a piece of rump or sirloin. Maybe coat it with wholegrain mustard and slow cook it, covered, in the oven?
Ooo I have mustard in the cupboard not used it for ages I could cook it like steak and copy you n make mustard mash and veg.

Just going to test the theory of it, plus the portion control is a very easy thing to deal with, and, if i stick to the chicken fillets, i only take one out at a time, only chop up half of it, then i have no choice but to make sure that i am full from the other bits that go with it. Sunday, well, i ate 2 lamb rumps (300g between them), veg and gravy, and 8 roast spuds.
Thats my biggest problem, seeing food as not being enough before i even cook it so doing more than i actually need. And then eating it all.
Ive been thinking about my portion sizes this week, although its all the right stuff I can still eat a plateful as big as I used to that cant be right surely?
