Daz FINALLY has a food diary

Morning Daz. What's the plan for today then? Up to much? X

Good morning.

Shopping with my Mother at 9.30. That normally lasts until about lunch time. Ooooh, i cannot contain my excitement! lol.

I was hoping to get the bean burgers made but fast running out of time, think they will have to be done later for tomorrow now. :(

You sound so thrilled to be off shopping! :D
Trips with my mum take 3 times as long  must be a mother thing!

I've just put my mini quiches in the oven ready for tea tonight and lunch tomorrow. Annoying when you don't have time to make what you want to! Grr x

i shall take a lasagne from the freezer before i go and have that for tea tonight. Its one i made so i know its very low on syns. Not sure about lunch. I scrimped and cheated yesterday, 3 slices of wholemeal bread with a dairylea on each one. ummmmm!!!! I think, when coupled with the oven chips i had for dinner, that nudged me up slightly, but should be gone again today.

Changed, forgot to take lasagne out so i have made a beef stew after picking up some diced beef from the butchers. Just about to do a jacket spud to have it with. Lunch was just a muller light, apple, banana, vitality bar. May have veered slightly with a chunky kit kat as well. (God i love a chunky kit kat  )

Evening Mr Lightweight lol - hows you? Was the shopping trip any good?

Mr Lightweight, haha, its 12.30 am and im still here, and not even had a kip today. Things are looking up.

Shopping was ok, was a bit dodgy with the balance though, would be construed as a bad day in the realms of "good and bad" in that scenario. Happy though, cant complain. Treated myself to a huge bit of rump steak for tomorrow, with some sweet potato chips i think, and shall coat the steak with pepper and garlic before i cook it. mmmm.

Hmmmmmmmmm sounds good, pity I don't like steak!!!

WHAT!!!!!?????? How can someone NOT like steak?

I spoiled myself yesterday, beef rump, lamb rump, lamb shoulder fillets, turkey sausages, low fat sausages, diced beef of which i made the stew i will eat for lunches over the next day or 2, plus 2 servings yesterday, i have a couple of gammons in the freezer and bought some farm fresh eggs.

How to live like landed gentry. lol.

You women are a strange breed. Steak has to be the best food EVER. And none of this stupid smothering it in sauce rubbish. There is only one sauce for steak. BLOOD. :D

I would eat meat everyday, especially steak. If i go to a pub for food no matter how hard i try to have something different from the menu, i always end up with steak.

Booo :( any family to eat out with?? X

Its a long story based around the fact that i have not lived in town for 20 years. When i got back i was so immersed in finding a job, and once i did i hadn't managed time to network back into local society as such, before i had the stroke. So, i have my best mate of 36 years, and my parents, that's pretty much it. Because i have had my mobility issues i cannot get out that easily so i don't tend to get invited anywhere, plus being away for so long.

Jamie (my best mate) has a sister, and she invited me to hers over the Easter bank holiday. That was nice. It was her lodgers birthday and so it had a few faces there, was nice to mingle with the human race again. lol.

Im not sad about it. Strangely enough someone is just trying to organise a school reunion and it just doesn't interest me. Im happy to make new friends, ones that will mean something to me now, not the ones i have had no contact with for 28 years.

I do go to the local on my own every now and again, but i have found that i don't enjoy it as much. Remember, i managed pubs for 20 years, i need something else to do rather than stand in other peoples pubs, plus after the stroke a lot was said about my alcohol intake, and the inevitable issues around drinking and losing weight.
