de-cluttering the home, as well as body & mind

Way to go Mel !! Tho I am sorry to hear about your wrist, hope you are on the mend now-top marks for keeping going when you have the perfect excuse to stop !!

Hey mel! Wow you put me to shame. I wonder I'd I can get a fly lady app? My nursery looks like a bomb site. It's shocking. But I did just wash the dishes do I get a point for that?

By the way sorry about your wrist! How on earth dis that happen? It was nothing to do with the piano was it?

I just googled it and looks like there is a Flylady app -dont have time now but will look into it further later, may get it myself too !!

Well I have made something of a start in the chaos that is my hime and I am already feeling alot better about it !!
Think I need to keep using this thread to keep me inspired. Also in the throws of setting up my control log-suddenly it all seems to make sense again LOL

Brilliant! I'm about to do some gardening and the garage. Today's plan. Go out for a bit, get my CD products. Come home, pick up my husband and go get some garden stuff. While he does the garden I will blitz the house. I may get a DVD for the little one so she doesn't mess with us! Oh and I need to do the all important shopping expedition but need to listen to my pods first. Can you get one for creating order?

I am doing drop 2 jeans sizes and power shower to deal with the negatrons in life! I have actually got a bundle but in going to try and stick with those for now! The problem is I'm using them to try and get back into Cambridge doing SS.

I was going to do keep weight loss going as I just hit a bit of a plateau. But I've got to commit to just one right? And if I lost 2 dress sizes I would be my perfect size!

Hi All,

I fell mucking about on Friday the 13th while ice skating with my DD! I was trying a fancy bit and caught my skate in a rut and over corrected. It happened so fast I did the one thing you shouldn't which is put my hand down to break my fall. All 11 stones landed my left wrist. Not good? If I was at goal would it have broken? First broken bone ever! :(. Oh well, I should get the cast off on May 16th.

LOL on the piano playing. I was told to exercise my fingers and elbow while the wrist is in a cast - so piano playing should be ideal.

DH and I are going out to get a couple of file boxes, so I can continue the sort, shred, etc. process. I am slowed up, but not stopped.

No gardening though / I have a Limbo (special waterproof cast cover) but I did not buy the heavy duty one because I want the break to heal ASAP.

You know. I wish someone had a system for laundry. I just can't ever get to the bottom of mine and I hate it!

Someone was mentioning clearing out her OH's stuff and I had to laugh. Some men are so bad about hoarding.

My friend (the one I refer to ad CFF) is always sneaking her OH's ratty shirts to the thrift store or recycling. He has sooooo many shirts. It is crazy. He loves to comb the sales racks and buys them up cheaply. But he DOES NOT need any. He keeps saying that one day he'll be retired and on a fixed income, but he'll have plenty of shirts!!! If they ever do a shirt focused Hoarders he should be on it.

Our biggest issue has been paperwork and I have shredded over 30 brown paper bags of old files. We had taped shut boxes with 30 year old paperwork. If has been a walk down memory lane and I was little sad shredding all the insurance paperwork and bills from the kids' births (my hospital bill from my DD was over 18,000 Deutsche Marks), but I cannot keep everything.

I am trying to be brutal - but I know that once I am done (and we stay on top of it), I'll need to try and do another shred-fest. However, after the files and shredding are done I want to get photos organized. And get back to scrapbooking, putting into albums, getting scanned onto memory sticks or CDs, etc.

Lots of boxes of craft stuff to go through, too.

Plus, a lot of DD's toys need to go. I want her involved with this, so it may wait until summer. I
am determined to try eBay selling.

Minnimel, shredding!!! Nightmare isn't it, I don't know how I get so much paperwork!

Any tips off laundry? I really can't keep up! X

I start a load before I go to bed, take it out at breakfast and start another one. It is rare day I don't have a load to do - but it keeps me on top of it. What I do not do is keep up with the ironing - but today is anti procrastination day, do I WILL work on it a bit.

I do much the same with my laundry- my machine has a timer on it so I set it to be finished just as I get up, if it's a dry day I hang it out and put another load on, if not it goes on the airer and I dont do more. There is sort of a system there !! Need a new ironing board so my ironing is badly behind but for some reson I am not rushing out to get another LOL

I have a board, iron and high stool upstairs and the same down. - and I still have a mountain of ironing. Oh, and I have a steam generator iron and a steam press.

What I don't have is motivation.

Me three! Can you buy it on lakeland?

I'm back! Over the last year I've slowly cleared each room and I can proudly say that today every room is now decluttered! I'm so chuffed, just need to try and keep it they way.

Next step is getting it all clean now it's clear and then start doing the routines Flylady suggests to keep it clean x

Impressive. If only. But I am working on it!!! You go Saucy!!!
