Debridgers' Food Diary & Ramblings

Then why, O why, seeing how much you have achieved, knowing it works, and seeing what you can eat does she continue with WW ???
Ah well, as they say, ain't nowt as strange as folk.

The red day and adding extra ss didn't make a huge amount of difference this week - 1/2 off... but at least it's off I guess... onwards & downwards

Too complicated apparently:confused:
Nope, me neither!

OK, going eaxtra easy, as Ken is taking me out for dinner..... he often asks me if I want to go out, do I want to get something out save cooking, etc, etc..... but, let me stress, not in an unsupportive way, so, the last 'meal' well, takeway was chicken & chips.... he bought a ready roast chiocken, chips for him, and I made my own SW chips..... a great compromise, so, he's all for whatever I can fit into my plan.... after a couple of weeks of let me take you out - my choice where.... I decided on Harvester..... easily fits into plan, so we're both happy

Lunch: SW 'fry-up'
2xpoached eggs, 2x quorn sausages (2), bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans

Dinner: Harvester...
8oz rump steak, all fat (best bit) removed, jacket potato, garden peas, parsley & creme fraiche (50 cals so 2.5 syns) & 3 trips to the salad cart: lettuce, carrot, beetroot, red cabbage, sweetcorn, tomato, cucmber, avoided all the croutons, crispy onions, sticky pasta stuff, coleslaw, potato salad and had 4-5 tbs lf mayo (will count as 5 = 12.5syns, and assume 1 syn for oil on the grill)

I did save my HEA & HEB for cheese and a brown roll - had neither
I drove, picked him up so stuck to diet pepsi..... thought I'd have awhiskey when we got in..... I didn't

HEA x 0 & HEB x 0 - very naughty
but just didn't use them, and too full to have when we got in

Superspeed: baked beans

parsley & creme fraiche dressing - 2.5
5 tbs (max) lf mayo - 12.5

popped to the pub in the village - diet coke for me, left after one, and back to bed, could hardly move, and head was killing me... couple of hours kip, dinner, telly, couldn't sleep...can't get in a position that doesn't hurt .... WK43 D4 (Mon 31st Oct) - Red

Just another day on the sofa..... a few hours work here & there, bit of TV, several catnaps..... but ached like I don't know what!! Thought I was bad Sunday, but could hardly walk up & down the stairs

Made myself some veg soup..... I tell you what, such a lovely soup, so easy, so cheap!!!
Using frozen casserole veg from Asda, choose the amount you want to cook, add boiling water, add a couple of veg. oxo cubes, simmer 20 mins, blend..... done!!
Most of my soups are that easy!!

I also made creamy seafood pasta, defrosted a bag of seafood (prawns, mussels & squid), cooked onion in fish stock, garlic and whatever herbs, added pasta, once cooked added seafood, as it only needs warming through, drain keeping stock, using some of it, melt philly light in it, once melted, return seafood & onion mix to cover in the sauce, and to make sure it's still warm..... enjoy

Oh, and I put a load of treatsize sweeties, chocolates, jellies etc in a bowl by the door for the little trick or treaters, guess what..... none knocked, so I've still got loads of sweets to munch (I chose treatsize so I can fit them into SW if there were some left)

Lunch: smoked salmon & cream cheese sarnie and crudites
2x400g warburton (HEB1), philly light (part HEA1), cucumber, tomatoes, pepper

Dinner: veg soup, creamy seafood pasta, fruit
s/free soup oxo, (carrot, onion, swede, turnip, celery, leeks)
35g pasta (HEB2), stock cube, onion, mussels, squid, king prawns, philly light (part HEA1), apple, banana, plum, pear

That's a scrummy looking day there hun. Shame about the head and aches though :(

I'm sure you've already thought of this but I'll just suggest it anyway - take a diary of your aches and pains to the neurologist on Thursday ... they may be able to see a pattern.

Thinking of you xx

Your diary looks fab, thanks :) Gave me some ideas

I really need to eat more fish i dont really like it that much but its so good for you

So glad you liked some of the ideas

What fish can you eat, and have you tried loads of different stuff ?

Some is so mild, others really 'fishy', and some, like fresh tuna is really meaty, and more like a steak.....and so, so totaly different than the tinned stuff, same as mackerel, I really like both tinned & fresh, but are so, so different.... it really is a case of trial & error

The other thing of course, if you really wanted to eat more.... put it with loads of garlic & chilli, or in a curry, prawns marinated in fresh lime & corriander completely changes their flavours.

Or is it the texture? - again, tinned / fresh are different, and maybe baking in foil with onions & tomatoes will give you a different texture compared to frying... poaching is good too

be brave ;)

Need to update my diary..... haven't really bothered much.... logging on here not SW!!! and as you know, I log it all on a spreadsheet anyway

WK43 D5 (Tue 1st Nov) - Red

my work colleague thout I'd wet the bed, was logged on before 0800!!! didn't feel too bad for a few hours.

Ken popped over, did I want to go on a van ride with him Wednesday ??? bit of a trek, so I decided if I felt OK Weds morning I would, I had no intetion of committing to driving, but would if I felt up to it!

Decided to make soup to take with us - thankfully he'll eat nearly anything.

He came back round about 730, and we popped out for a quick pint aroung 9pm. Funny how my local now ask me if it's diet coke that I want, instead of the "Oh Deb - IPA??" like normal!
Ah well, sure it's doing both my head & syns some good!!, mibnd it means I'm eating more chocolate than normal - just to use the syns of course, don't always want another HEA or HEB

Lunch: soup, ham & egg sandwich & crisps
oxo, (carrot, onion, swede, turnip, celery, leeks), 2x400g warburton (HEB1), ham, hardboiled egg, cucumber 1 tbs light salad cream (1)

Cheers - MRI next week, more eliminiation than anything else.... make sure there's nothing naughty there... and to check the blood flow in my brain..... from what he sayes, it's not overly serious, and can be controlled.... although I'm not allowed to take any medication for 2 weeks!!!!:eek:

That's a bit harsh hun - what if you get one of your heads??

Can you have a glass of collapso?? Mind you, you probably don't feel like one :(

WK43 D5 (Wed 2nd Nov)

early start..... alarm went off at 0330!!!!

Got up, made sarnies to take, zapped the soup to put in the flask, packed hard boiled eggs, fruit, Hi-fis, coke, fanta, etc... fully prepared!!
Oh and of course some headache tablets

so, up at 0330 - left at 0420... pretty good, considering I normally need 3 coffees before I'm awake!

We were picking up a motorcycles for Kens son Rick, some 200 miles each way up in North Humberside, about 15 miles outside of Hull didn't eat until about 09:00, and only had the sarnie, got back, unloaded went to the pub, he really wanted a pint, felt he deserved it!!!
8 hours of driving, I think he'd right

Got back to mine, all I had was the leftover soup

I know, I know, I need to eat, I just didn't feel like it - last 2 days, had a bit of belly trouble, hoping not TMI, but not been to the loo, hence feeling rather full, and bloated, but OK

Well, Wednesday is always pub night - I drove, but it's only a few miles away!!

Then forced some supper!! I needed to eat, although not hungry, but it saved Ken nagging me!!

So, food was :

Cheese & pickle sandwich:
2x400g nimble (HEB1), 42g cathederal light (HEA1), 1 tbs branston (1)

Soup:
carrot, onion, swede, turnip, celery, leeks, cauliflower, spring greens, oxo cubes

really quivk entry today..... did a couple of hours work, went to the consultants, came back, did another hour or so, then SW class tonight

Not hungry at all!! Again!!

when I got back from WI - around 7pm, I had an apple from my SOTW bag, then a giant jacket potato and baked beans with 71g philli light (HEA1)

That's it!!
OK, it was a big jacket.... when I say big, it was 1.5lb in weight raw!!..... I'm happy when I lose that much LOL
I couldn't finish it - but did well

Well, tonight was a 3.5 lb loss - makes up for those stagnant weeks recently, so pretty happy tonight.

Just off to bed - 1230... and I can't eat another thing - so no supper, no more syns this week...so quite a low total

Day one of another new week.... also day 1 of my new 777 challenge :
and gonna try and do red this week too, had a good loss last week on mainly red, but also keeping a check on my syns...not sure if the alcohol (or lack of) played a part or not, hasn't before, but doubt I'll drink this week.

did a few hours work, got up and started at 0800 again today, popped to Asda, needed a good shop... bought loads of stuff and am currently planning my weeks meals - well, I guess there's a 1st time for everything

Normally Friday night = pub night, but I suggested we stayed in tonight as we are going tomorrow for the fireworks and BBQ, and we've been to the pub more this week than normal anyway.
I was planning on having dinner before we go, and then just have one thing from the BBQ (as it's included in the price) but I reckon I might let Ken have mine - especially as it's probably only sausages or burgers
