Deflating the Bouncy Castle

I did!

someone's mother in law keeps buying her vouchers for la senza, and she'd bought herself a three-piece set (chemise, camisole, french knickers) in black satin with thick ivory lace - but never worn it, so now it's mine! also a a beret covered in black palliettes (sp? - big sequins), and a lovely thirties-style blouse. Couple of other bits too. More importantly i got rid of two huge bags of clothes, so my husband is very happy.

I have found now I am back on food that I miss the empty feeling I had from SS - I wasn't hungry, but I felt healthy and thin. NOw I am putting food in I quickly feel full and that makes me feel heavy and bloated, in fact I keep looking in the mirror and checking my jeans are still fitting as I feel big again.

I know its all in my head though. Anyway, glad you are enjoying being on SS+ and I am with you on retraining that appetite to know that no means no.

Lucky!! My MIL bought me an egg timer and a self help book for Xmas. I wish she'd make her mind up- I can't improve my eggs and myself at the same time!!

Egbert! Would you like to join us on the "we've got 10% left to go" challenge? It's over on the teams page, the premise is simple for those of us who are on the final furlong. To gee each other on, share nuggets of wisdom and fight each other to the death to see who can shift that last 10%. there is only one rule - no strict SSing because that defeats the object. Its about developing other weapons of fat destruction! You can however SS+!

The link to join is on my signature or bob over to teams!

(soz spangles love! Hijacked your thread there!)

Noo worries, honey.

Happy Monday!

I did! WHOOP! (or as my son would say, "SCORE!")

So, was Hubby happy about the LaSenza or the extra space? ;)

I know -- it is that whole body dysmorphic thing. *sigh*

I am trying to work my way back through Beck in order to do this. It worked before -- I just need to make PERMANENT changes.

Thanks - I will bob on over and have a peak. :D

Morning Spangles. Did I read somewhere La Senza is going bust? Might have to have a look and see if there is any more bargains to be had myself. My OH told me my underwear was functional, not exciting. Not that I think its practical/comfortable to walk about in exciting all day every day, but the odd treat is acceptable :)

NOw where can I get some sexy but affordable stuff from *pondering aloud*

yes la senza is no more :( walked past my local shop to see it empty and vacant this weekend :( xx

God - the space. My husband is many wonderful things, but he's not very into how i look. which is not to say he doesn't fancy me - obviously he does... But he doesn't give two hoots what size i am, nor what i wear in the bedroom - or out of it for that matter. He doesn't even like porn. Just not very *visual*.

some main la senza shops are still going, the one in Bullring in Brum is still open and full of sale stuff, if only i would settle down size-wise i could buy a load!

Same as the one in Southampton x

It comes to something when la senza is closing down...there will only be the virtual shopping experience and the upper escalon's/lifestyle shops left soon.

Aw no... La Senza is my fav place to buy undies out of :(

Might need to go check if the one in Glasgow is still open at the weekend, see if I can get some bargains before its too late!

I've never shopped in la senza. if i'm buying fancy undies i want a matching bra and they have such a tiny range of sizes.

quite.

So, back in october i had a dream that i'd retrained and was now a florist. just a random dream. but i was really depressed when i woke up and it wasn't true. and that heaviness sat wirh me for a good couple of months. so i decided to take some baby steps. with a possible end goal of doing a few weddings and if that took off, dropping down to four days at work and so on... but in the meantime, who knew - i might have been allergic to floral foam or really rubbish at it. last week i started my floristry for beginners night class. tonight was my second go.

first week was a vase arrangement. I didn't bring enough gerberas for my vase, silly girl - but i liked what i did anyway.

Tonight was a table-centre type thing. The photo doesn't quite show - but it's really bloody good! Like, easily as good as what you might order from a florist! the other students were taking photos of it - i didn't have any specific help from the tutor either. i'm dead proud of myself.

Fabulous! I have had plenty of pro displays delivered that we're nowhere near as good as that! You have a natural flair )

I do find that a lot of the florists have real attitude - I have had them make stupid mistakes like dying eucalyptus leaves red...the dye runs so bride a cannot hold her bouquet properly and I couldn't use the centrepieces on the tables as they were dripping dye all over tablecloths.

I am lucky that most of my weddings are vintage tea parties or vintage and rustic so I do a lot of the flowers myself now - in wellies/teapots/tins/birdcages etc but will not do bouquets, button holes or anything in oasis!

There are so many different styles of bouquets now - made out of jewellery/buttons etc. I think it would be fab if someone was able to bring real flowers and other items into 1 bouquet to really personalise them for brides.

Cannot wait to see next weeks pictures! Xx

well it's funny you should say that. obviously now i'm just learning the basic skills, but eventually i thought my niche might be retro/vintage/rockabilly weddings etc. and because i also used to make resin and perspex jewellery, I thought it would be cool to combine some of that into the bouquets and arrangements Leopard-print perspex twists and bottle-cap cabouchons for a rockabilly wedding; repurposed vintage artefacts for a more shabby chic feel etc.

And I *much* prefer working in oasis. Things stay exactly where you put them - it's a revelation!

That sounds so perfect! Then when you have made one I would try and get a photographer to use them in a photoshoot - highly recommend Sassy of www.assassynation.co.uk as that style is so perfect for her!

Also send pics etc to someone like Kat who does the Rock n Roll bride blog )

Just wish you were nearer to my venue!

I am so very excited for you xxx
