Ding Dong the Enemy's dead!

Thanks Tanya.

Just had a look at George at Asda and Peacocks sites, there are a few skirts there that I like too, so not finished shopping yet lol.

I went to Asda the other evening Mary they really do have some lovely stuff!!!! They even had some really nice shorts that could be worn day or night with a nice top and flip flops. And the plus side - yer not spending a fortune either!!! :)

The skirts I have been buying are all above knee length, no zips, mostly just elasticated, but modern, so no waistbands to dig in after a few days on the extra food and booze.

Will go to Asda on Saturday evening and I will have a peek in Peacocks on Saturday morning. I looked at their site today and there are a few skirts I like the look of.

Ooooh mary! I love all of them except the bottom 2 ... you've great taste woman!!!!! :D

Verrrrrry Nice :):)

You're doing great Mary ... I love the tale of you making friends, it's great to strike up bonds like that but shame he was being treated badly!

I love those skirts the only trouble for me with the fashions at the moment is that most of them are supposed to sit on your hips - I just can't wear them. I have to have things on the waist - I'm just made funny lol! xx

Yeah, it was really sad, and you know what we are like Jan, so Motherly, I hate to see someone getting picked on, so the Mother instinct came right out to this young man, and how pleased are we that it did. Even Phill treats him like a Son too and when he introduced us to his Mum and Dad, he introduced us as his Welsh Mum and Dad (even tho I am Scottish :8855:)

Now, on the hips Hmm, I think mine are a little further up haha.

The only one I dont like the is the second to last one, but the last one is my favourite!! haha..I love anything flowery and pink :0!!!!!!

Isnt it nice that you have an adopted son now......so lovely!!!!!

mmm...I cant cope with these on the hip things either! I have a pair of jeans that are like that and they irritate the hell out of me! I just want to pull them up...I am so glad I am not a teenager nowadays as I dont know how I would cope!! And for these guys that have their trousers hanging off their backsides..grrrr..haha...feel like pulling them up!!! Can hear my mum inside my head now :8855::8855:
I surely cant be that old...or am I just fooling myself...I suppose 50 isnt that far off!! YIKES!!!

Hey YOU 50 isn't OLD!!!!! LOL!!!!! I'm 55 next week .... YIKES!!!!!! :):) xxxx

Thats the day of my dads surprise party! So i will have a vodka or 2 for you for your birthday! I will feel like im celebrating it with ya! hahah

Iris ............ make a carrot cake .... surely cuz its carrots its healthy right?!!!!!!!! :rotflmao:

Carrot cake sounds like the ideal diet birthday cake! Just wish that Tanya and myself were joining you both - but that's to come in the near future. Come on, who is organising this meet up lol.

Food today.

Breakfast, shake. (only got a couple left now) yeeehaaaaa.
Snack, apple.
Lunch, 3 ryvita, 2 boiled eggs, small salad.
Snack, apple.
Dinner, same as last night, the cod was so big that I cut it in half, so half a steamed cod with carrots and green beans.

Feel really bloated this morning, but its TOTM at the mo, and this funny age (nearly 51) isnt doing much for it. I thought it was about gone, but lately, it seems to be every two weeks! Sorry, a bit early in the morning to be ranting about TOTM but its peeing me off at the mo lol.

oh mary I know how you feel, we are the same age, and I am going through the same thing, waiting for an op to sort things out at the moment. You are doing well, I was doing fine yesterday until one of hubbies pupils (he's a driving instructor) bought him a box of chocolates and seeing as he's diabetic I had to help him out didnt I. Also had a few glasses of wine, weighing a pound heavier this morning, but will try and be good today.

Your food looks good Mary; you are not in holiday mode at all, eh! You are doing well, but you rant away! There is nothing worse..I had the op last year so I am not so bad, BUT I am so irregular it is unbelievable..in my teenage/20's/30's NEVER EVER EVER had problems.....40....well, slippery slope ;-)!!!! DO YOU THINK I HAVE AN AGE PROBLEM :8855::8855:

That 1lb will come off in no time..cant be fat, has to be water/glycogen...has to be!!

I was also a 1lb heavier this morning, so I am putting it down to bloating with TOTM.

Iris, since I got sterilised in 1996 TOTM has been horrendously heavy, but over the last year I kept a spreadsheet, and instead of 13 through-out the year, I only had 11. This year, the first 4 months I only had 2, so thought they were on their way out, but the last 6-8 weeks, they have been fortnightly, but not so heavy.

Too early for me to get into holiday mood at the mo Iris, still 21 sleeps...........lol.
