DOING SW FROM HOME???

Hey all!
Well I lost 1.5lbs at WI which I'm a little disappointed about but it's a loss n not a gain at the end of the day!
Its my star week too so I know I'd have prob lost a bit more if it was a normal week!
Ahh well here's to next week and a slimmer me!

Good Luck all & Welcome Newbies were a nice bunch here that help eachother and have got to know eachother well!

I think 1.5 is a good weekly loss so Well Done to you!

Hi All,
Just seen this thread. Im supposed to be joining a slimming world class tomorrow but have my doubts. I know what I need to do and how to do it having lost a lot of weight in the past. The only thing is I cant get my head in gear to do it. Am hoping being weighed by someone else will motivate me???

Hey all. I have doing SW since February this year by going group and to date I have lost 2 stone 2lbs. I have another 2 stone to go. I am thinking of leaving group and doing this from home. I think I have the willpower now since I have got this far. I don't like the idea of paying £4.95 a week too. Has others done this and had good success? I just don't want to fall off the wagon and undo all the good work that I have done so far. x

Hi Lotty,

I have just done exactly what you are proposing and found that these boards are all the support and information that I need. Everyone here on this thread is in exactly the same boat and we are all helping each other.

Good luck on your weight loss journey!

Anne

Hi guys,

My first time on here today, it has been manic today but in a lovely way, playing with my little girl!

We had the Weightwatchers sausages tonight with baked beans and mash. Thanks for the recommendation - they were lovely and we will definitely be having them again!

Anne

Oooh, I have some lovely Quorn sausages to use up, but I really want to try the WW ones especially if they're 1/2 syn less! Fancying big pile of mash, onion gravy and bangers :D Can't stop eating today, probably comfort eating... Might allow myself a few extra syns cause I'm actually on the verge of crying and need a bit of chocolate haha... So pathetic! x

I can't quite believe how lovely the ww sausages are! How old is your little girl? My boys are 3.5 and 2 and keep me on my toes! :)

Any loss on * week is fantastic, so well done you! It really is fab. What have you lost overall now? My wi tomorrow, normally get a little excited but am nervous. Don't want another sts :-(

Thanks Anne!

I'm only going to the class for a bit as my friend wanted me to join with her to kick start it, I've been doing it on my own before I started the class. I know I can do it but I like the idea of having to WI each week with people in the same boat rather than on my own x

Thanks Jen!
Well I've changed from weighing Thursday mornings to Wed evenings so on here I've only lost 8lbs but if I go by my am WI's I've lost 9.5lbs x

My little girl is seven now and a very fussy eater - but she loved the sausages! Yes, I can imagine you have got your hands full with such a small age gap and both under five!!!!

eeeee everyones been so chatty since I went to the shops!

Well done Tilly love, thats a mega loss for totm, I usually just sts then, so any loss is fab, hopefully means you'll get a good one next week to :)

Ah Laura, good luck for tomorrow, you eat what you want! I was super nervous when I was waiting for my uni results last month, so don't worry about the diet and being emotional, just have a bit of choc and enjoy your nandos! I bet you've done brilliantly love.

Jen its not too bad studying with littleuns, in some ways its good as you have a bit more time with them. Mine were 3 when I took redundancy and went to college, I had to do a year at college before I could even apply for uni as I had no a levels.

Welcome Lotty!

Ugh town and holiday shopping was a nightmare, even though i've lost 2.5stone I still look horrific in short, so that depressed me! And all the seasons have changed and I couldn't find anything nice and summery, so I'm annoyed, 3 and a half hours of frantic shopping and I have 1 swimming cossy (which actually looks good.. i think.. bf said it it anyway and he's always honest - a little too honest - about how I look) and 2 tops. Grrr. So I'm going to do a mega ASOS shop now and just send back what I don't like. Should have just done that to start with!! haha.

You girls are making me want sausages so bad!! I can't wait to eat more proper food tomorrow, I get to have new potatoes yay!!

xxx

Oh no shopping is pants sometimes, I had the same last week. It's sooo annoying that hardly any summer stuff is around. Trying clothes at home sounds better!

It's probably more to do with money really, why I couldn't study right now. I only work 22.5hrs a week but we couldn't really survive without it especially as I'd need childcare for when I'm at uni. Will have to wait a couple of years til their at school I think.

New potatoes tomorrow sound good!! Bet they fill you up really quick ;-)

Hi everyone I'm Helen,

I'm new here and this is my first post. I've previously lost weight attending group but really couldn't face going back with my tail between my legs and admitting it had nearly all gone back on. Besides, I figured if I can't do it myself at home with the right help and support then it's never going to work long term for me. And boy do I need it to be long term, I've an awful lot to loose and have never been slim since I was a small child.

Feeling really positive about giving it a real proper go again, but scared to death of failing yet again :(

Helen

Hi Helen,

Welcome. Good luck with all your efforts. You seem determined. I have a lot to lose and will try to support anyone else on this journey we are taking.

Well I hope at least some of it looks ok! Bought all size 16's now as I decided if the 16's don't fit I'm not buying a bigger size!

I get a decent student loan and grant having kids, you get a lot of parents learning allowances and things, plus you get childcare paid for too. I don't need any now as the boys are at school, but even if you need after school clubs they pay for that too. The financial side is actually really good, college was awful tho, no money help what so ever that was a very hard year!

Xx

Hey!! Welcome! I know exactly how you feel, I felt like that at the start I was 15st13 so it felt like a very very long way to go. Gettin there now though, any advice you need we're all here to help xxx

Thanks for the lovely welcome guys :D I like the idea of setting myself some mini goals, it breaks up the big huge scary goal into things a bit more manageable. I'll have to have a think.
