DOING SW FROM HOME???

Ah yeah! Mini goals are great, really motivates you when you can start ticking things off. Little rewards for hitting your mini goals too are good. Like buying some nice make up or a bag or something. You could use the £20 you saved from class to buy yourself a treat when you reach them xx

Hi I'm starting sw at home in Australia as we don't have classes here. I went to group when I was at home and lost nearly 2 stone but since we came out here I've put it all back on and more. I've lost a stone on my own by 'healthy eating' but I found slimming world at home better so I wanted to try it again. I have decided to weigh in on saturday mornings. I'm trying to exercise more as well as I didn't really do that last time. I've had a few hiccups, been doing it 3 weeks, lost 4lbs in the first 10 days then gained 2.5lbs this weign in just gone. I did measure when I started and I have lost 6 inches all over so far so that makes me feel better. II'm hoping to reach my main goal by my next wedding anniversary in feb but we'll see. Thanks

Well I hope at least some of it looks ok! Bought all size 16's now as I decided if the 16's don't fit I'm not buying a bigger size!

I get a decent student loan and grant having kids, you get a lot of parents learning allowances and things, plus you get childcare paid for too. I don't need any now as the boys are at school, but even if you need after school clubs they pay for that too. The financial side is actually really good, college was awful tho, no money help what so ever that was a very hard year!

Xx

That's really interesting, I had no idea! Are you on Facebook? Could do with a chat about that! (I'm Jenny Leonard, profile pic is my son in a blue, white & red striped top with fingers in the air) :)

Returning after a few months of.... Countdown begins!! 365 days till i get MARRIED!!

Morning!

Where to start.... I began doing SW in January this year because we were off on our first family holiday abroad with our son and i lost over a stone which i was thrilled about and just losing that i could fell a difference in myself!
When we got back off holiday i had actually lost weight because i carried on dieting as much as i could while we were there but coming back home is when it all fell apart!!
Needless to say after 3 months of rubbish eating and drinking i have put on the stone i worked so hard to lose back on :sigh:! No ones fault other than my own, with that stone back on i feel rubbish about my self and my clothes are defo tighter!!!

So today is the day i am starting again, i have a year until i marry the man i love with all my heart and i no he loves me no matter what size i am but i am not doing this just for him i am doing it for me my son and my health! I weighed myself this morning and had a bit of a cry and just reading threw some of what you have put thas put a smile on my face i have done it before so i no i can do it again!

I am unable to go to meetings as i am a stay at home mum and with my partner the only one working we havent the spare money for me to go to meetings but jus the support on here last time kept me going!
As i am writing this i am gettin more and more excited because i do enjoy doing SW and i love the feeling when i have lost weight!

I am going to set myself mini targets.. My first is to have lost 7lb's or more by the time we go to Primrose Valley for the weekend in September!

I just hope we can all tell each other meal ideas and i look forward to chating to you all and celebrating our weight loses and moaning about our bad days!

Yep! I'll try and find you! I'm a bit crap tho at finding people, it's [email protected] if you can find me by my email. I think you can do that! Xx

Nice to hear from Sammie and Kirsty that it's not just me swallowing my pride and having another go :)

Just tucking in to a lovely beany chilli and wholewheat pasta at work. I dug out all my old SW recipe books last night, I had forgotton just how lovely some of them are. I hear from a work colleague that quorn sausages are no longer free - is that right? How many syns are they?

Having a green day today as I need something stodgy but healthy!
I'm having the fat free chicken and garlic supernoodles with steamed veg mmm!
My throats a bit sore today...hope I'm not getting sick that's the least thing I want! I'm minding my God Daughter Sat-Mon so wanna take her out the park etc if its nice!

Hows everyone doing today? X

Quorn sausages are 1 syn each, really yummy and worth it to me though :)

Sooo... I got 3 Cs and a B!! Soo much better than I expected, and got As in two of my exams which counted towards those grades! :D So happy :D xx

Hi Laura, thanks for the info on the sausages - I love them too. Well done in your exams by the way xx

Laura, that's fantastic, well done you!! You celebrating tonight? You definitely should!

I recommend ww pork sausages, only 0.5syn each and lovely. On offer for £2 in asda at the mo.

I suddenly fancied mushrooms at lunch so mixed some chilli & red pepper cottage cheese with 28g cheddar, covered the mushrooms and grilled them. Was gorgeous!! Just made shepherds pie with cauliflower mash for tea. Treated myself to a ww sticky toffee pudding, well worth the 8.5 syns!

Watching great british bake off from tues, I love it and all the things I now can't eat, ha!

Wooooooo well done Laura!! YAY! oh love I bet your thrilled esp with 2 A's in exams, wow. clever girl. Definitely a celebratory nando's then!

Welcome Sammie!! Your story is much like a lot of ours so we all understand, love sharing recipes and tips. I'm doing a vlcd at the mo, well I'm just doing my refeed but will be back to SW very soon, I make this moroccan meatball dish that is YUM! so so good, can't wait to eat that again.

Refeed day 3 for me ladies! I got to have special k this morning, was good! So much better than the bland horrible shredded wheat, I was supposed to have a vlcd pack for lunch but I was out so just had some tandoori prawns and chargrilled calamari pack from M&S, really low cals and carbs so a good replacement i think. I probably shouldn't mess with the refeed but nevermind, its done now. And its not really cheating as its less cals and carbs than a pack. Having salmon, asparagus, broccoli and 150g new potatoes with mint for dinner! YAY, this is the closest thing I've had to a 'normal' meal for a month, so looking forward to it!

Was at the hospital getting my boy booked in for a squint correction today, its happening november, I'm really nervous already, he still seems to little to me, but i think its best to get it done now, as he has red hair, glasses and a pretty bad squint, so I think it'll save him some potential bad times, kids can be mean like! Plus he's the most eccentric little oddball ever so anything to help him out is going to be good! bless him.

You all ok ladies? xxx
