Cheese & Mustard Potatoes:
big thank you to lovely Stacey (MrsWilsoncroft's) for this recipe!
served (me with carrots/tomatoes and paul's with baked beans)

For each potato, rub each potato with little bit of frylight then roll in salt. Bake in the oven for 1 hour on gas mark 6.

Mix together 1 egg yolk, 1 teaspoon of mustard powder & grate 42g Kerry's low low cheese.

Remove potato from oven and gently ease it apart. Scoop out the inside, fluff with a fork & mix in the cheese mixture, season, then spoon back into the potato.

Return to the oven for 10-14 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.

Delicious!

MMMMMMM that looks gorgeous hun. Im glad you enjoyed it :)

I tried the mustard and egg spuds too with some half fat cheddar and they're gorgeous! Your pics are drool worthy! Might try that last one with some quorn instead of chicken :)

I so hope so Claire, as long i carry on making yummy food i will be fine - failure not really an option i have told everyone i will be wearing my wedding dress on 11th april, school, work, friends, neighbours...

It's funny because I also have my wedding outfit (from 13 years ago) and also hoping by mid year to be able to fit back into it. We will get there!

went to my sisters for sunday lunch today, she made two yummy lasagnes, i opted for a small-ish piece of vegetable lasagne, huge salad and resisted the garlic bread and non SW wedges, but i did have a weeny portion of xmas pud...have been awful this weekend, purely because i got out of routine, spent saturday with mum and she was so tearful that when paul said i am ordering a kebab, i didn't argue...when he put chips on my plate, i didn't argue either...so disappointed in myself

i am thinking of skipping weigh in this week - what do you think? i don;t want to spiral out of control with a bad wi on tuesday morning and then mum starting chemo the next day ??? am scared in case it tips me to a binge...

diary looks good Donna :)

I like that you add your exercise for the day, even if you havent done any. I am going to try that once baby is here, might guilt me into actually doing some, as I am dreadful really.

Although I did enjoy my Zumba dvd's and now have the xbox kinect one, so will probably be looking forward to trying that when I can. I expect it wont last longer than a week though lol.

Hi Donna,

Sorry I'm a bit late on this one but well done on last weeks weight.

I know it's difficult but I think that skipping WI is probably a bad idea. I know that you may have gained but if you don't WI then you won't know what you've achieved during the next week. You might have tried really hard, been really good and then have STS or put on when in actual fact you've lost that week, you just can't see it because you didn't WI. But equally I know that it's pretty difficult to WI when you think you have gained.

I hope your Mum copes with her week ok and that you can continue to be strong for her. It's not an easy time for you so do what you can and keep trying.

Big hugs.

Gail x

P.S. Thanks for posting the pictures as well as the recipes. I LOVE the pics !!!

I agree with the others, I think you should go to WI - it's one constant amidst all the other rubbish going on around you and at the end of the day, you weigh what you weigh... If it's any consolation, I put on 3lbs this week, just from 2 meals out! Not impressed!! :)

Best wishes to your mum xx

i concur with all of the above!

hey hun,

Sorry im a bit late with a reply!! Firstly ((hugs)) for your mum!

I think you should go to WI, with everything you have going on. You saying the reason that you struggled at the weekend was that you messed up your routine, i think going to WI and sticking to your usual routine may be for the best. I even recommend staying to group, the support they can offer you (even if it is just SW support) will help to keep you focused at what must be a really difficult time.

Only you know whats best for you though so if you really know you shouldnt go and its not because you might have a gain then that's ok.

Don't give up Donna, you are an inspiration to all of us. Remember how happy you felt when you, Paul and Megan all had wonderful losses on your first week back on the plan... Boys will be boys, they will have takeaways and still lose weight, just because the world is stupid like that, but you have to take care of yourself and your daughter. Do you want her to grow up having body issues for years and years and years, or do you want her to have healthy eating techniques enstilled in her for years and years and years? I'm sure the lasagne and pud can be burnt off after a talk to Paul about how you need him to help you have that little bit more control over your food, you'll feel a billion times better after and it'll be one thing off your chest so you can spend that extra time helping mum out.

Please go to WI, please go back home to have that talk, and please please please read through your first diary, your first posts, recapture that inspiration and willpower!

Agree with the others - don't give up and go to WI!

You are always there to give wise words to others so listen to their advice now!

As things are not easy for you at the moment take one day at a time and do not dwell on yesterday.

You can do it - I know you can

xx

Looks like we are all in agreement love. Weigh in it is. At least you know where you stand. You have had outstanding losses over the past 2 weeks which is mega motivation, and you know u can pull this back. Its only a weekend honey.

Love and hugs to you and mum.

You will feel even worse if you don't go tomorrow and it drags on to next week. Good luck anyways hun!
