Don't you just hate it when....

grrr I have a list!!!

dyjhiw you are shattered and cold but instead of going to have a bath and going to bed you have to go out again.

dyjhiw its still not friday!

and dyjhiw dad boss keeps treating you like the cleaner who looks after his kids rather than the nanny who does a bit of cleaning! hes just told me I cant go to the end of term service led by eldest charge's class tomorrow because im not going to be there for the next 11 days and i need to "make sure the house is in tip top shape before having all that time with nothing being done"! surely it wouldnt hurt for them to keep it tidy and put a bit of washing on and iron it over the next fortnight?! never mind the fact ive spent the last 2 weeks helping 7 year old rehearse his lines and songs for tomorrow and helped him make the christingle orange thing for the service :( for the second time this week- W*NKER!!

Total w*nker, especially as you've no doubt put more effort than dad has....I'd use a harsher word but don't want to be told off! ;)

.....when my puppy follows me where ever i go.... It's getting silly now. He's ok when I come up to bed (surprisingly) but if I go in the kitchen or even just stand up he's there like a shot. Even when my son and OH are about he's just the same. For some reason he's really clingy with me and it's driving me mad!!!!! Arghhhh!!

He's identified you as the leader and is responding to you by mirroring your actions. He may feel more settled if he's crated.
Otherwise you can train him to 'lie down, stay down' then he knows what you want from him and it removes his anxiety.
Must be hard to rely on your instincts but not understanding your boss cost she's foreign! Good luck x

When you're too excited about finishing work tomorrow that you can't sleep!!!

Snap Jenna, I was up far too early with all the excitement! Mind you, I have 2 nursery parties today, am and pm, so by the time I get to the hairdressers at 5 I will be literally dead on my feet!

He's used a crate since we got him. I googled separation anxiety in dogs last night and oh yes that's what it is :( I don't do anything different with the puppy than I do with our older dog. I don't make a huge fuss of him all the time as I didn't want him to get clingy. He's fine when I go out to work. He knows the routine and gets into his crate ready for a treat (so sweet). I don't make a fuss when I leave either. I hardly say anything to him, I stay calm and he stays calm. I've stood outside the front door listening and peeping through the letterbox on loads of occasions just to make sure he'ssettled and he is.
The problem is when I'm in another part of the house. Neither of the dogs are allowed upstairs as our older one has a house dust mite allergy and has to stay away from carpets. The puppy whimpers and sometimes howls and barks if I'm upstairs for more than a few minutes. That's usually if there's no one else in the house but he'll whimper.

Dad boss clearly had a talking to by mum boss (who is lovely but I hardly see due to her long hours and commute) he said this morning that it would be nice if I could go due to the work I've put in and the fact I've done extra housework this week already to compensate for the time at the service already. Pah in your face dad boss! Was realy to pull out the "im the nanny who cleans not the cleaner who babysits your kids" line if he had stuck by what he said last night!
