Ouch! Yes back pain is so debilitating, i would definitely see if you can get some physio. I had muscle spasm years bk as my vertebrae were squeezing the nerves and the muscles in my shoulder and neck were in permenent spasm. I had physio for a while where he'd gently manipulate or prise the vertabrae apart and release the nerves. The relief was amazing! Good luck love xx

Did it work long term? I just worry now thats its happened its going to be a recurrent problem. Ill have to do something as I cant bare to stand up or sit for any length of time

Ahh, that's the bit i didn't want to mention and i can't lie to you but no, i still have the pain :-( tbh i've had it so long now i've just learnt to live with it and some days it's much better than others. Just unfortunate it's my left shoulder and i'm left handed. But please don't get disheartened as i do know people for whom it's worked permanently and your problem may be very different from mine anyway x

I cant even say its a pain, its like a burning sensation in my back all the time  its just off centre to the right. Ill give anything a go to see if it helps as I cant stand it any longer. Ive heard a lot say that once they have back probs they never go away :(

You certainly can't go on like that! What has your dr said? He should be organising something to deal with the problem rather than throwing painkillers at you that are only dealing with the symptoms :-(

She told me if no better in a week to ring physio - its been just over a week now. Its just so uncomfortable I dont know which way to sit

I have a male friend who runs his own shedmaking business so he spends all day long shifting huge and heavy pieces of wood. A month or so ago he seriously knackered his back, he's a tough guy, typical alpha male and was a marine but he was in tears it hurt so much. Anyway he's had some physio and some chiropracty ( or whatever it's called, lol) and he's ok again.... Back to lifting and building sheds :)
