Dukan ? hope so!

Jealousy rearing it's ugly head. Bet they all eat rubbish most of the time.

That's why I don't tell anyone what I'm doing the minute you sniff....oh that's the dukan diet! People annoy me, especially people twice my size trying to tell me just to eat less....as they inhale a bag of chips.... . F right off lol

Your doing fantastic hon just ignore them xxx

P.s so funny my phone changed ignore to gunfire when I first wrote this.....maybe you should gunfire them lol x

We're eating fresh, lean (in the case of meat) produce :) what could be healthier....additives, msg, e-numbers, refined sugar, processed flour, trans fats, hydrogenated oils? (oh that's the "normal" diet)....:) x

Still having a good time with the Dukan plan food choices have been ok lots of chicken for dinner today and for tea this evening i made S&S chicken with the diet tango, really nice. Chicken out for defrosting for tomorrows PP day.

Bit of a heated discussion in work yesterday about Dukan. One colleague told me that that Dukan diet is bad for you and there was an article in the Daily Telegraph all about how its voted the worse diet and that somebody nearly died and that Dr D had been struck off. So had to have a read of it if anyone is interested you can access the article online. So im sitting there trying to eat my lovely chicken curry for lunch and all of a sudden im surrounded by Dukan experts who say that i shouldnt be eating all that protein ill get kidney/gall stones etc etc i should be eating carbs as our body need carbs to function properly, felt telling them to go forth and multiply, if you get my drift. Why do people do this? i can honestly say i am eating more healthily now than i have since i was a kid, no processed food, lots of home cooking, ok no fruit or carbs but i am having different veggies and salad stuff that contain carbs. Its not as if im making them join me!

My weight is on a downwards trend and its slow, i have a lot to lose and it isnt going to come off overnight but im in no rush as long as it continues to reduce i will be happy i dont want to become obsessed with food or with the numbers on the scales or put a time limit on the TW. I need lots of time to develop a new way of eating, i could so easily succumb to the calling of Cadbury and mr kipling, so as i told my colleagues ill just carry on with what im doing and they can keep their opinions and misinformation to themselves!!

Everyone's an expert, Collette! Keep on, keeping on .... you're doing brilliantly :D

People are always down on it but funny, not people who have ever tried it. Guess the story 'diet works pretty well and people feel good on it' doesn't sell so many papers. I'm still amazed that conventional nutritionists are still trotting out the 'mostly carbs and low fat' thing, when it's clearly not been solving the problem.

Who cares, we know this works!

I had a similar discussion C, some of the girls at work must have read the same article. My answer was if you were to believe everything then we wouldn't eat anything !

So true jo xxx

Evening Collette....ive looked in the recipie thread and cant find the Dukan custard recipie. I remembered you use it a lot a while ago any chance if reposting recipie please xxxx

Off to choir tonight will have to have a catch up laters, not been on for a few days, so got a bit to catch up on xx

Oh what a hectic few days!! OH went to watch motor racing and son was out at a friends, so ive been home alone!! Got a ton of jobs done over the weekend. Cleaned the oven, OMG i hate that job, took forever!

Saturday night was the fancy dress party it was fab and had loads of dukan friendly stuff on the buffet, had smoked salmon, salad and roast chicken. Had a few glasses of rose and danced all night and did i feel it Sunday morning!! i couldnt stand up properly oh god my knees were knackered!! Sunday was a catch up day ironing washing and a massive corrie catch up. Made diet coke chicken on Sunday, you can see theres been a bit of chicken theme going on, yesterday had french mustard and mushroom chicken.

not made any muffins this week as i have been having porridge for breakfast with skim milk and vanilla, did try some LF cocoa in the porridge, mmm was interesting but i do prefer the vanilla.

Today i had salmon fillets and half a chicken for lunch and tonight chicken broccoli and carrots, i am all chickened out now and i still have half a chicken in the fridge, not sure if i stomach anymore, may try a fishy week, tuna salmon smoked haddock prawns mussells and see how we go. Weight maintained this week which inst bad as i did have a party on Saturday.

Planner is done, i have an attack week plan and a cruise week plan in my file they are really good to look back on and pick out meals that i had made previously helps with keeping the variety i think.

Exercise, Davina recommends weights, i had been using water bottles then my OH came home saying that he had bought me a present, it was a couple of 2lb dumb bells, most wives or GF get flowers!! but hey hes trying, bless! knees not been up to doing Davina but will get back into it, it is a good DVD i do enjoy it but it is hard.

Hope everyone is having a good week, just wish this flaming rain would stop!! x

Glad to see you still posting C x

im here lurking about, having a week where i need to have sweetie stuff, oh why is it so hard to keep on track, my weights maintaining so thats ok not doing too much damage but it needs to take a downwards step before i fall off, just a pound will do for now give a me a kick up the backside. Im going to set myself some little goals for the week. See if this works for me.

Goals for this coming week
1. prepare menus every sunday morning
2. continue to weigh on a wednesday and Sunday
3. have a Dukan puddings to keep sweetie cravings at bay, jelly, trifle, yogurt and rhubarb, bran biscuits,
4. read Dukan book a chapter a day to refresh memory (first 7 chapters)
5. try out a new random recipe from dukan book to give more variety
6. Davina in the conservatory 3 times per week with dumbbells

Think thats enough for now!!

Im with you with your goals all except Davina in the conservatory. Keep positive Collette....we know all good things come to those who wait.......xxx
