just incase you didn't know :D x

I've very glad you told me because that was a bit of a stealth attack and I wouldn't have otherwise noticed. ;):D

Thanks for the heads-up on Monroe. I like him, and she's usually pretty good, too. Worth a go, I think.

As for Phil Down Under - whatever floats your boat, eh? Makes a change from discussing transit issues, I suppose.:D

lol ......
well got side tracked from monroe ....was on bbc1 and pressed the red button been watching chris moyles

lol i know but watching chris moyles is so funny hes getting really tired and its just getting silly to watch

ITV annoys me - how many adverts? Just as well I don't get a chance to watch it very often.

Are you going to make those truffles, DD?

Are you going to make those truffles, DD?

Absolutely, I am! We're supposed to be having some friends from the Middle East staying in April, so I might try it out on them. One of them is another chocolate fan, so I'm hoping she'll like them. Not sure whether they've ever heard of Marmite, let alone tried it, though!

PV today, and burger time! :D

B Yoghurt with medium glass of orange juice
L Leftover veg broth, leftover quarter of Em's mince tortilla, bread ration and yoghurt
D Galette, homemade burger, homemade ketchup, grilled onions, gherkin and cheese, followed by crème au chocolat

I have this collection. Chocolate in all its splendour!:D (No marmite in sight!;))

Did you mean:
La petite bibliothèque du chocolat, coffret en 8 volumes : Chocolat bon enfant ; Chocolat glaçant ; Chocolat gourmand ; Chocolat craquant ; Chocolzt ... ; Chocolat élégant ; Chocolat extravagant: Amazon.fr: collectif: Livres

Sorry the original link seems broken.

Yum yum inspired by your links I have been surfing the online cookbooks looking for unusual chocolate cake recipe - I have agreed to bake for a Japan Appeal cake sale next week. Perfect excuse for baking with no(minimal) eating :D

Thanks so much for sorting that, Anja. I can usually manage links:eek:.

Yes, those are the books. A bit wasted on me as I prefer my chocolate in 'just chocolate' form but some of the recipes are lovely.

I too will be baking-a-plenty soon (millionaire's shortbread) but for a much less noble cause (school funds). No temptation for me though as I don't like it. Hope you find a nice recipe:D.

Yes the link had just got mangled....

Regarding the baking, I'll probably stick to the tried and tested instead, as time is short this weekend (and I have a bit of a brown bananas glut to deal with...). But it was nice browsing around :D:eek: - found some brilliant recipes for seeded crispbread (think DrKarg type)and also cereal bars (with less fat than traditional flapjacks) all made with ingredients that I have at home by the (nearly) sackful :)

If my French was better I'd be ordering that collection on amazon right now!

Brownie, when you're on conso am happy to PM you with the list of recipes in the books and translate any that you want. Give me a nudge if you're interested.:)

But one of the books is called "Chocolat Bluffant" and is supposed to amaze chocolate afficianados - how will they do that without Marmite? ;):D

I have a scarily vast library of choc recipe books and I'm not afraid to use 'em. One of the best ever is the original Green & Blacks Cookbook. The follow-up G&B book arrived just before I started on Dukan so I haven't yet had a chance to try anything from it.

Anja - what recipe will you be using for your cake? (If I lived nearer, I'd buy it from you as I'm sure it will be delicious and the Japanese earthquake appeal is such a good cause).
