@purpleorc I stayed the same this morning at 16st 3lbs so of course my motivation is dented and I start thinking about all I do to try to get my weight down and how I have wasted the majority of my life on either binging or purging. I don’t have the health concerns you have (yet) so I don’t have that deep fear motivation. I just know that I am heading for those types of health concern if I don’t keep my weight down and I really don’t want that.
I definitely think your body is adjusting to the amount of weight you’ve lost, if you stand back and try to look from the outside, your body effectively thinks you’ve been plonked on a desert island and is trying desperately to keep you alive by holding onto reserves. We diet but forget that millions of years of evolution are pushing back against us.
Which brings me to maintaining - you mentioned before that you had lost weight but regained it, I have done the same and believe that maintaining is actually a billion times harder than dieting. It’s why I’ll be happy to try to maintain around 15st 4lbs which is a BMI of 32.5 for me. That’s my lowest weight goal for this year and then I’ll see if I can hold it.
But this week I’m going to do exactly what I did last week and hope I get a loss next week…
