Oh becki, I can't tell you how excited I am for spring and summer!!! I really hate winter!

Today's food looks yummy! Do you used minced turkey from the supermarket for your chilli? xxx

I know...cold dark days make me miserable lol. I have so much more energy in summer!
Yes it's just turkey mince. It is really cheap and syn free.
I'm not keen on how the mince goes in the slow cooker though so I won't be using it for mince again.

Generally I am disappointed with my slow cooker!

Oh mannn isn't turkey thigh free?! Alllllllll of this time !!!! Damn

All my slow cooker meals go watery, mince goes really small and bitty and sausages are anaemic and I don't want to brown them as that to me defeats the object of shoving everything in and turning it on.
Veg goes too mushy. The other De enter thing I have made is joint of pork and joint of beef :/

Do you know if this is free?

It has to be below 5% fat to be free my dear. Turkey thigh mince is fattier so would have some syns but I wouldn't imagine it would be loads. It's annoying as the thigh mince is significantly cheaper too!

With the slow cooker you need to use soooo much less water/stock. I put the cubes/stock pots in without the water normally espec if it's got chopped toms etc in it.

I think it tastes better if browned first... it doesn't defeat the purpose is the flavour is better. Your sausages won't go brown if you don't fry them as that brownness comes from direct heat (i.e. grilling/frying!).

Gotta keep veg chunky too!

I guess it is trial and error/experience really! xx

I never use any water at all. Just chopped toms. :( thanks though girlie's

Bit down now as when I got home on my lunch the garage next to ours was unlocked and open, apparently it's been broken into. We reported a brake in at our place before Christmas. I just feel totally unsafe! It's a nice area really too...scumbags :(

We can't really. ..not until the end of summer when we know what's happening with these houses . But I'm sure there will be people like that everywhere :(

Oh Becki things like that freak me out. Its such a shame cos as you say people like that are everywhere. Hope it gets properly investigated you can only do your best to keep safe. Scumbags!

The police came round...They think the wind snapped the lock and opened the garage door...haha I think not! Ah well

Drove through a blizzard on the way to work so decided to stay here on my break so I don't get snowed in at home!
I'm trying to relax in someone else's house...feels odd!!
I grabbed my gym kit incase the snow clears to go for a run, also managed to grab my chilli out the fridge before just in case so I am prepared! The builders are here though doing the bathrooms upstairs, that's a bit annoying!

Breakfast- ff yog and banana
Mid morning- toast and peanut butter 4 syns

Lunch- turkey chilli

Tea- fish pie with creme fraiche. I will have a small portion with vegetables

I've also taken a trip to Holland and Barrett. I bought some slim noodles and slim rice whilst they are in the penny sale, also coconut flakes as I would like to make the sugar free granola. And Two nakd bars just because I was walking past them and had to have some!

Hahaha I have just seen the weighing scales be referred to as ' the sad step' made me laugh!

Happy Friday peeps! I have a bit of a headache today. Hopefully it will go before later!

Breakfast- porridge made with water and a sprinkle of coconut flakes

Lunch- sardines on toast and extra tomato soup if I'm really hungry

Tea- frittata with ham and mushrooms

Snacks-

Aiming to go to lidl after work for a food shop.
Also want to do week 1 day 1 of jilian Michaels ' ripped in 30'
And my dog really needs a walk as we've not been out for two days!
