eee look another food diary!

Hey girls, sorry I haven't been on. But thanks for all your concern and nice thoughts :)

It got really bad yesterday, he left, lots of messages to-ing and fro-ing. Lots of shouting and yet again some more broken stuff, great. He came back but left again to go to his dads.

He's terrified of the therapy, but he said he wants to do it rather than lose me. Lots of honest talking today, and for once instead of being the calm one I got really really angry, and shouted a lot which actually felt pretty therapeutic all the things I've wanted to say but always keep them in. He understands, and he said he's going to cook every other day and go shopping and generally be better. And most importantly he's calling some therapists tomorrow to get prices and the ball rolling.

His fear of not having me is worse than anything else and this is the closest we've come to splitting up, he said he didn't think I would mean it but when it was clear I wasn't backing down he realised that not being here would be millions times worse than dealing with the fear of therapy.

So we'll see I guess, it's been a really long, hard and emotional weekend, I feel really exhausted from it all.

Thanks for caring, it's so appreciated xx

Hi hun. Sorry to hear you've had a rough weekend but it sounds like it's had a positive outcome and given him enough of a shock to get things sorted. I really hope everything works out and he sees the therapy through. Big hugs xx

Bless you Charl, I am not surprised you are exhausted. Hope you're feeling we'll rested this morning. Sounds like you've had good discussions at least and I hope he holds to his side xx big hugs love xx

Evening, you feeling better? Bet you're emotionally drained! Hope you're ok and Dan cooked your tea xx did your boys get you something nice yesterday?

Hey girlies, yeah I'm feeling ok thanks, just still shattered and drained, can't wait to go to bed! Have work to do for tomorrow though. Boo!

I didn't get anything yesterday, I was really upset about that too. The boys were at their dads and he didn't even give them the phone to call me, I'm more annoyed as they said they were at their grandma's, I know he can be cold towards me but she as a mam should know better, disgusting really!

Dan picked the boys up from school and they went and got me some flowers and cards, that was nice :)

I cooked tonight, dans doing tomorrow, thurs and sat he went and bought everything today which was good. Already washed up too. So he's def trying!

Hey Charl - we can't be angels all the time you know! We're human, and at least the snack was a healthy one and not mounds of crisps, peanuts, biscuits or cakes! So well done on that hun.

Glad than Dad has agreed to some therapy and to helping you out in the house. Make hime stick to it every week though - and not just be a 1 week wonder.

We certainly can't. I get so bad around pmt time, i don't go crazy and eat loads of terrible foods I just never feel full so end up eating a lot quantity wise, today's the same! I can't believe what I've eaten today! None particularly awful just too much! I've done a big online shop which is coming tomorrow so then I can stick to plan.

Today's food.. I'm not following any plan just eating what I want within reason!

Breakfast : 2 sandwiches made from small wmeal loaf, 1 bacon and WW sausage. 1 bacon and low low cheddar.

Lunch : orzo pasta w/meatfree meatballs, courgette, red onion and mushrooms. W/ 1 desert spoon green pesto and 1 light mascarpone

Dinner : honey and mustard chicken thighs, roast new potato, leeks, tenderstem broccoli, carrots

Daniels dinner was lusssshhh!

I'm thinking about doing WW for a change. Theres a simply filling plan on there which is v like SW but it gives you more freedom, as long as you don't over eat. I have 1st4 left to go and just feel like I'm not getting anywhere. I know I'm on/off plan a lot but what I actually eat is much more WW plan than SW. There's a groupon for it 3 months online for £17 so thinkin might give it a whirl for a month and see if I get any losses xx

Hey love, nothing wrong with trying something a bit different to give you a boost..l by the sounds of your busy life at the moment it might work better right now for you too... I've never been a fan of the ww way, but if you feel like giving it a go then do xxx

I tried it once when i worked at the bank as they had a WW club there but it was the old plan where everything was pointed. That sucked but simply filling sounds really good. And on days when I eat out I can use PP without the food guilt. Just seems a bit more flexible than SW. So maybe while I'm struggling it'll work. Who knows... Wahhhh! X

You've come so far hun that if it gives you a boost its definitely worth a go xxx

It's really similar to SW to be fair, but has certain extras like low fat bagels, wraps, crumpets etc. there's a link to the food list on here and you can have an amount of weekly points too. But if you were going out for dinner or grabbed a sandwich on the go you could have a pro point day instead where you can point your food but still get your weeklies, so it's a little more flexible than SW. I might just join as £17 for 3 months isn't a huge amount and it might be the kick I need to get the last off. I'm not sure how the pro points are worked out or anything, that's why I'd need to join. But have a look at the thread for SF on here. Food list is nearly identical to SW just with a few extras I really miss and end up having to syn! Xx

So happy to hear about Dan making the effort.

I think simply filling would be perfect for what you eat tbh suits it really well. No hea/heb to worry about that stuffs all free anyway, then on snacky or out an about days just count points.

I didn't appreciate how restrictive sw was until I tried it - even though I eat mostly the same as what I did on sw the fact that its easier to stay on plan due to the flexibility is fab x

A lovely helpful lil rock chick just wrote this for me on her thread about it.. I hope she won't mind me sharing.. She was struggling a bit on SW with the final stone and switched to ww with lots of success.

'Personally I find it way more flexible. Simply filling is really similar to slimming world so its not a massive change (most free foods are the same but you get more bread options like bagels/wraps/crumpets/porridge and you don't weigh them) then if you fancy something that's not a free food like say you pick up a sandwich on the go you just do a propoints day (basically simplified calorie counting as your food and veg are free then everything else you just count points and get more the more you weigh - basically cal counting in disguise lol) since you basically mix sw and cal counting anyway so it would be perfect.'

Xx

Ha! Hi Laura!! I hope u don't mind me sharing for Jen what you wrote, it just sounded clearer in your words! Xx

Hehe same time posting :) yeh no worries any questions about it just holler. The simply filling board on here has some lovely helpful people though we are a small group (ww kinda keep simply filling a secret for some crazy reason) and anyone that has propoints engrained into them finds the idea of unlimited amounts of food too scary even though its healthy stuff :-/ x
