Thanks Kals - still getting my head around the GL diet and I'm definitely not going to get complacent. I keep thinking I've done something wrong 'cause I'm not weighing or counting points! I hope it keeps working because I really could stick to this long term, I think, without any problems. My friend has given me her chest freezer so I have been able to do some meals in advance and freeze them in 'cupped hand sized portions' - great for in the week when I get home and can't be bothered to start cooking.

Re the IBS - the bloating has improved a lot and I no longer feel 6 months pregnant by 3pm! The pain and need for the loo don't seem to be so related to food though (unless I eat fruit which, with the exception of apples and bananas, I usually avoid ;)) So unfortunately that's still causing me problems - could be worse though.

Well done on your brilliant loss this week. Enjoy the rest of the weekend (weather is meant to be nice down your way tomorrow - if the forecasters can be believed!)

Well I didn't laugh at that very much!! :8855:

Congratulations L, so chuffed for ya, bet this feels like the right thing now with 2 losses on the trot. great stuff.

Enjoy your evening. xxx

:DThank you Nik. I hope this is the real thing but as I said to Kals it really doesn't feel right not counting points and weighing stuff and I'm not confident that I am eating the right stuff but as long as I can keep losing I will be happy. Need to get experimenting with some new meals though.

Have a lovely Sunday Nik.

I think the main thing is - as long as you feel satisfied after every meal and not physically hungry and still get a loss, then I don't think it matters if you are eating the right stuff or not... It's working... And that makes me happy that you are happy :)

Enjoy your week L. xxx

Ah thanks Nik - you say the nicest things :). I'm sure you are right. I really think the key is to prepare in advance 'cause I'm hopeless on the cooking front when I get in from work - I just can't be bothered. If I can get some different and more interesting meals prepared in advance and frozen this will solve the problem. So I'm going to make a concerted effort during the week to find some new recipes and get them prepared next weekend.

Hope the weather I promised you arrived today - it's been lovely here :D! Have a lovely week and good luck for a good loss tomorrow Nik.

Take care.

Thanks L. Weather was lovely, I was just stuck in doors! <tuts> Sky is very blue today, and that's not from me swearing for a change, but got a bit of a nip in the air.

have a great day. xxx

Evening Nik. Told you you were in for a nice few days! :) It's been lovely up here too but as Monday is my longest day at work and it was dark when I left the house this morning and starting to get dark when i left work tonight I didn't see any of it :(

:happy096: on getting back to goal in only 1 week - you really are amazing and I really wish I could be as disciplined as you.

Hope you're having a nice evening - have a great day tomorrow.

:D Afternoon Lesley
just catching up with you how you doing so far this week hun ?
hope your having a lovely day so far x

That's one thing I hated about working in a factory, I would go in when it was dark and leave when it was dark, I always felt like I was living in some Middle Ages film like Robin Hood where there was never any sunshine! Well, that Cradley Heath for you I guess, nothing changes :p

have a brill Wednesday L. xxx

Hi Nik - I know what you mean. Although I work in an office, we have tinted windows which means you can't really tell what the weather is like! It's worth doing a couple of very long days and two slightly shorter ones so that I can have a 3 day weekend though and I suppose I am lucky to have the option to do this - in fact with the current job situation, I'm lucky to have a job! On Thursday I will have worked for the same organisation for 25 years  - I only intended to stay until I decided what I 'really' wanted to do!

Hope you have a great Wednesday too Nik.

Hi Kals, not doing too bad thank you. Re the diet, not sure I'm going to have a loss this week I think I may have gone a bit overboard on my portion sizes! Hope you have settled back into SW.

Have a lovely rest of the week.

Hi Rachael, thank you for popping in. My week is going OK thank you - busy but at least that makes the week go faster and the weekend nearer, so can't be bad! Hope you're OK too and that you get some good news re Amber very soon.

Have a great week.

Breakfast
2 oatcakes
Baby bel

Lunch
Leftover quiche from yesterday
Half a small chicken breast
Salad

Snack
2 oatcakes
1 babybel

Home alone for dinner tonight and late in so couldn't be bothered to cook anything - also not really hungry. This is where planning comes in and I'm just not planning well enough!

Hi Kals - re the meeting, we have three per year and the amount of preparation I do is ridiculous - I always think people are going to find faults in the analysis I have to present - they didn't and it was OK thank you.

I was very pleased with my 1lb off this week - thought my portion sizes may have been a bit big but it's all good. I didn't notice at first, but in one of the books it says have 2 oatcakes per day max - I've been having 6 . I would like to lose another 26lb eventually, which will take me to 10stone 7lbs which is what I was for years before it starting piling on - but I'm not kiddin myself it's going to be easy. My main problem is lack of planning!

Thank you again for all your enouragement.

Have a lovely weekend Kals.

Yay to the 1lb, I know it said it earlier, but I am so so happy for you. Keeping all my pinkies crossed for 2lb next week... Perhaps more ironing? :p xxx

Thank you Nik, I'm happy too! Can I count ironing as exercise do you think? Thank you for all your help and support. Don't you dare uncross those fingers until next Friday!

Have a great weekend (with no ironing!)
