:D Afternoon Lesley
hope the week ahead is a good one for you hun

Thanks Kals, you have a great week too! Will head to your diary in a while to see how your first day on the Harcombe plan is going. Good luck with it. Received my GL Made Easy book today which I got for 1p off Amazon Marketplace! Am really pleased with it, more info in it than the original GL diet book I bought which I think was published first. So far I am really enjoying this way of eating and as long as the lbs shift I am happy to carry on with it.

Take care.

Yay at the 2lb off!! At last. Gosh, I smiled so much when I read that. :D

Glad you are feeling better after a loss now, lets hope Friday makes you smile just as much. Hope you're having a great day L. xxx

Hello Nik, it's good to have you back :D. I thought I was going to be stuck at 12st 10 forever did you! Thank you for your support too, without yours and Kals encouragement I might easily have just given up.

Today has been sad as we have been to my brother in laws dads funeral. That's the 3rd funeral I've been to this year - I don't want to go to any more.

Anyway, hope you haven't got the post holiday blues. I will be interested to hear how the OF is doing on WW and look forward to seeing that you are closer to your goal with your next WI on Monday (I know you will be).

Thanks for popping in and I hope I have more good news on Friday :fingerscrossed:.

Take care.

I hope so Kals! Hope you're enjoying the Harcombe Diet - I can't wait to see how you do after Phase 1. Have a good evening if you're not working and if you're working, I hope it goes fast for you!

Tuesday 5th October

Breakfast

4 oatcakes
2 boiled eggs

Buffet lunch
Salad
Piece of quiche (left all pastry and only ate filling)
2 thin slices pork pie (left pastry and just ate meat part)

Lunch was difficult as choice was limited but tried to make low GL choices - not sure how successful I was! Food I avoided - potato wedges, crisps, chicken in breadcrumbs, pieces of fish in beadcrumb things, sausage rolls, potato salad, sandwiches, pastries & cakes.

Snack
2 oatcakes with very thin smear peanut butter

Snack - didn't feel like any dinner but was hungry later so had a boiled egg. I am eating too many eggs I think!

sounded fine Lesley, and well done in avoiding all the carbs
hope today is good for you x

Thanks for taking a look Kals - felt quite good about tweaking the food available to suit the plan! Hope your day is going well too. Heard on the radio this morning that it could reach 23 degrees again in the south east next week so hope you get some of it!

Take care.

Ohh, I likes the sound of that forcast! :D

Your food looks completely different from WW meals, do you find you are eating more now or just larger portions?

Sorry about all the funerals, horrible eh. Massive hug.

Have a great Thursday, and good luck for in the morning with WI. I've changed to Monday, hopefully to stop the weekend munchies :D

xxx

Hi Nik - thanks for dropping in. I'm hoping it's dry over the weekend up here too as I desperately need to cut the grass!

Re meals - I hadn't really noticed but now you mention it, I am eating differently - no velvet crunch or French Fries! If anything, I think my portions have got smaller because I am using a smaller plate and if for instance like tonight I cook a curry, I'm not having any rice. I really haven't felt hungry though. I hope the scales are kind tomorrow because I think I can stick to this way of eating easily and not having to keep track of points means I'm not focussing so much on food. :cross:

I hope changing WI days will help with your weekend munchies - you will be fine now you are back on track though and I bet Monday will show a good loss. How's the OF doing? Will he be WI on Monday too?

Hope you have a lovely Friday Nik.

:giggle: - Purposly came in to see your result... I can't believe you forgot, I'm like a kid at Christmas on WI day and can't wait to jump out of bed and get on the scales :D

Good luck for tomorrow result and hope it's a good one... along with your weekend. And, lets hope you get to cut the grass. It's grey and murkey here today... This is not good :p xxx

Ahh Nik, sorry to disappoint you! I was looking forward to seeing what the scales said too so I am disappointed as well! At least it proves I'm not obsessing! ;) I have swapped my days at work this week - I work compressed hours so do my hours in 4 days, rather than spead over 5 days, and am usually off on a Friday, so I think that confused me! I am easily confused!

Pretty dull and gloomy up here too - not looking good for this heatwave we were meant to be having!

Take care.

p.s no wonder you are like a kid a christmas on your WI day - you always get a good result! When you get such rubbish results as me, it's slightly less exciting!:D

Thank you for visiting! All those STS didn't feel fab Rachel but I know exactly what you mean - I think the only thing that kept me going was the thought that if I gave up I would gain the little bit I had lost plus some! Without the suggestions I got from the brilliant people on here I may still have been stuck with STS so I really appreciate any advice - even critical (I don't take offence easily;)) I really do hope SW works for you - a change is good sometimes. :D

Have a lovely weekend.
