I found the recipe on here somewhere but I cant find it again now
I edited it quite a bit anyway, here's what I put in, you could just put anything in really. (It's nothing special but it only takes 2 minutes to whizz it all together, so dead easy
)
Ingredients:
- 500g extra lean beef mince (was supposed to be lamb mince
)
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1.5 tsp dried chilli flakes
- 1.5 tsp smoked paprika
- 3 tsp dried mint
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
Method:
- Just bung everything in a food processor and whizz really well to totally mix everything. It should be quite smooth and pasty when its mixed.
- Then roll it into sausage shapes, stick it on a lined, fry-Light sprayed tray and bake until done. I gave it about 15-20 min @ 180C covered in foil to heat through, then took the foil off, turned them over and gave them another 5 min to crisp up a bit.
Next time I might use just lean mince and syn it as they're pretty dry with extra lean - the b/f said they had the texture of kebab meat a bit, I think he's right. Id also chuck more & different flavours in (I already doubled & quadrupled some of the flavours from the original recipe, but I like things tasty!
)
It was supposed to be lamb mince btw, which is why it has mint, cinnamon etc, I defrosted the wrong thing
Yeah next time I might try beef & mustard with a bit of onion, garlic, maybe chilli in? That sounds yum. You could chuck anything in really, be adventurous!
