Been busy busy busy today.
Today was picnic day!!
Yesterday I saw my friend and her daughter and we decided we'd go to a local farm today.
So we did.
But before that I had to get in my exercise - I did my gym sesh, then straight to zumba.
Stupidly did 35 minutes down the gym before realising I hadn't switched my pedometer to active.
Idiot.
Once done there though, I was all ready for picnic number one.
My friend couldn't be bothered with picnic food because the kids (her daughter (2) and her nephew (1.5)) wouldn't have really eaten it, so we stopped off at the services before going to the farm and the kids had a happy meal each and my friend had a kfc.
And I just sat there.
Haha.
I was feeding the little uns their happy meals, breaking them up into smaller pieces cuz I can't be dealing with choking kids whilst she ate her kfc.
The whole time I could've just snuck a bit of their chicken nugget or their chips into my mouth - and I don't even like eating McDonalds.
Anyway, they finally finished and we went to the farm.
We were only there for about an hour - it was miles too hot, so I didn't get in as many steps as I'd've liked.
For my picnic I had a chicken paste sandwich (LOVE meat paste, especially on crumpets or in sandwiches).
I had 2 slices of the ww loaf I got reduced yesterday for 3pp, 14g of paste for 1pp and 8g of ww spread for 1pp.
A sandwich for 5pp - I bought the ww loaf because I knew I was picnicking twice and needed to save some points on my bread.
Usually bread is 5pp for 2 slices.
Also had a satsuma (0pp) and a weetabix oaty bar (2pp)
I walked home from my friend's house (even though she'd picked me up), so I could get in some extra steps.
Then, after a bit of chilling, and doing my puzzle, it was time for picnic number 2 with the youth club.
This one was harder, as there was lots of lovely stuff (but I only have myself to blame as I was the one that did the shopping haha).
There were lots of sandwiches, gingerbread men, fairy cakes, savoury eggs, sausage rolls and donuts.
I could smell the donuts all afternoon in the house, and was so tempted by one.
But again, I resisted and had another chicken paste sandwich for just 3pp this time.
Wait?! I hear you say.
How can I have a chicken paste sandwich, exactly the same as before, for 2pp less?!
Well, that's because 1pp of spread is 15g and 1pp of chicken paste is 27g and I split the spread & paste between the two sandwiches, meaning I'd already pointed the fillings in my earlier sandwich.
Sneaky or what?! Haha.
I also had a banana and a pack of ww cookies.
I walked to and from youth club, as well as walking to and from the park for their picnic, so clocked up a few more steps there and have managed my 12000 steps for today which I'm pleased about.
Didn't have many points left for dinner, but didn't really fancy much, so had a box of micro chips (4pp), a ww yogurt (1pp) and a ww caramel creamed rice (3pp) to finish off my day.
Final day tomorrow before the day of reckoning.
Got the the gym first thing, work 12-4 and then body tone & body combat.
Then just 1 gym session thursday morning before I find out whether I've hit target on my birthday or not.
Don't know how I'm feeling about it this week.
Last week I had a feeling I hadn't really lost, and was proved right.
Shall just have to wait and see.
