Extra Easy Online - attempting to maintain!

Did you look at the gallery pics of the oast house? The building is amazing and it's brand new! I was quite pleased with my resolve as we went to 2 more bars after that where I just had tea, although I wasn't really in the mood for anymore booze.

I got a gorgeous handbag from Topshop yesterday which the OH went halves with me on (I really am spoilt).* I'd spotted someone on the bus with it and loved it, then coincidentally I saw a similar one when I walked past topshop a couple of weeks ago. I did a bit of sleuthing and it turned out they'd sold out and weren't restocking the colour I wanted. However, I then went over to the topshop section of selfridges yesterday and there it was! I love it when that happens! It looks more expensive than it is/feels which is an added bonus too :).

Oooh happy new bed night to you lol. Your bedding is like my mugs ;-) hope you sleep well in it. I love my white metal frame but we really need a new mattress

Subscribing! You have done so well on your slimming world journey, very inspirational! I really hope I can do as well :) any tips greatly received as I think we have similar stats

Thanks hun. I think my best tip is to commit to a food diary, preferably on minimins, and update it everyday ensuring you write down absolutely everything you eat. It forces you to be honest with yourself and there is no hiding if you go over your syn allocation. I can honestly say I wouldn't have lost the weight without this food diary. There were so many times when I didn't eat something naughty because I didn't want to write it down and have to admit that I'd gone over my syns.

My other bit of advice is to plan ahead. Maybe get a food planner app on your phone and make sure you allocate your HEXa and HEXb and plan different and exciting meals each week that get you excited about planning, cooking and (most importantly) eating SW-friendly meals. There are so many delicious recipes out there and I get so much more satisfaction eating something that I've cooked and know is good for me. I'd much rather cook a fry up at home knowing it was syn-free than eating one in a cafe knowing it's full of grease. And once you get more confident with cooking SW meals you can start to find non-SW friendly recipes and adapting it to make it syn free.

Oh and ALWAYS measure your HEXs and syns. You'll be surprised how a bit of guesswork can completely sabotage your efforts. I admit I'm a bit more relaxed now (specifically with skimmed milk in my tea of which I only use a dribble) but I always measure cheese and cereals etc.

Good luck with your weightloss hun. I'll have a look at your diary and be sure to subscribe. If you have any questions or need anything clarifying then just ask!

Ooh and my final bit of advice... trust the plan! It does work! So even if you get a gain or don't lose as much as you think you deserve that week, power through. So many people give up on the plan and mix it up with WW/Cal counting/etc and end up gaining so just trust the plan (even if it doesn't make sense sometimes) and you'll see results. The weightloss isn't fast with SW so don't set yourself unrealistic goals as you'll just end up feeling frustrated and depressed when you should feel chuffed with every 0.5lb you lose.

I just checked out that recipe for the curry and holy moly I literally would have to buy 10 things I have never bought such as cardoman pods (2 types), cinamin sticks, garam masala, bay leaves etc... I reckon the ingredients could easily cost me €50. Did you follow that recipe word for word? Did you have all that stuff at home anyway? I'm a bit deflated now because it looks really complicated and expensive now :( Would you recommend a recipe for another Indian type curry that is a bit simpler for a novice like me??

those spices shouldn't cost too much if you go to tesco or asda. be good to build up a collection too :0)

I had them all already but they really aren't expensive and you'll find you use them a lot more often than you'd think. So many recipes contain exciting herbs and spices that they really are an investment. I couldn't live without my spice cupboard! Alternatively you could just buy a curry powder if you really don't want to buy all of the individual ones x

Thank you so much for all of this advice and thank you for subscribing to my diary :) the support on here is amazing, THANKYOU!!

I had every intention of making a SW nandos and then the OH convinced me to get takeaway and so this happened...

So naughty but also so yummy! I made some boiled rice in the hope that I'd fill up on that and not have as many chips, which worked so it's not as bad as having fish & chips like the OH! The chips from our chippy are also massive and proper chunky so less surface area for the fat to cling to so that should knock a few syns off. Either way, I'll have to be extra good for the rest of the week!

Food Diary...

Breakfast - magic porridge (HEXb), strawberries, blueberries

Lunch - wholewheat pasta w/ 60g ricotta (HEXa), spinach, broccoli, mushrooms

Dinner - takeaway Chinese chicken curry w/ handful of thick cut chips from the chippy & boiled rice (25ish syns)

Snacks - sainsburys paprika popcorn (2.5 syns), mini jammie dodgers snackpack (4.5 syns), 1 mikado (0.5 syns), apple, banana, grapes

4 tea w/ skimmed milk (HEXa)
Sparkling water
1 pukka detox tea

Total syns = 32.5 (guess)

Total cals = 1905
