Felix's new to SW diary!

I think I'll give it a try! It would be good if you could get little trial sizes because I don't know if I'm allergic until I've used it for about 3 days. I'm the same with moisturiser too! I wonder if you can return stuff if you have an allergic reaction? My mum bought me some very expensive moisturiser from Kiehls (sp?) and they gave her the money back because she made a big fuss about them selling it to her as 'all natural ingredients' and it made my skin the worst it's ever been so we looked at the ingredients and it had loads of crap in it! £28 for a tiny tube too! Waaaaah I want normal skin haha.

Ach that's a shame, my face is well dodgy with reacting to products as well I stick to Lush for all my facemasks/moisturiser/toner. They are also pretty good about giving out free samples if you explain that you need try it for a few days to check it's ok for your skin :) Some of the staff are really helpful but some of them don't have a clue so I always read the reviews on website for ideas of what will work for me. x

Ok I have decided against the treadmill. It would definitely NOT get used!!

Today has been very boring at work...

Breakfast - 2x weetabix with skimmed milk and a milky coffee (HExA & B)

Snack - fresh pineapple

Lunch - mugshot, yoghurt and banana

Snack - Pom bear crisps (4 syns) and a satsuma

Having left over curry for tea, which was so good last night. Also off to buy my niece a birthday present. Haven't got a clue what to buy!!

You do like your Pom crisps dont you lol ;) we went with curry too was gorgeous. What did you get your neice? How old is she? We have loads of birthdays coming up next month x

Bare Escentuals or whatever they call it these days is a weird product; it's not a full coverage foundation so at first you think "well this sh1t!" but stick with it and after a few weeks your acne will clear up. The it becomes an amazing foundation because not only do you no longer need a full coverage but when you wear it your skin looks flawless because it is. It's a miracle product and I recommend it to all of my acne suffering clients.

Out of interest, what skincare do you use? I only specialise in makeup, I only have limited training with skincare and I know nothing other than prescription medicine will completely clear your acne but I am certain that some product WILL make it worse.

Have you seen the GP?

I used to ADORE Lush then one day, completely out the blue, I suddenly became allergic to 99% of their products  I emailed them to ask if they had changed the formulation of anything and I got a personal email from Mark Constantine (the founder) to assure me they hadn't. He also sent me a few pointers on home-made skincare that were good for sensitive skin; such a nice man :D

But hell knows what happened.

Haha we have loads of the crisps because I said I liked them once then OH decides to buy them ALL THE TIME. He's an odd one! I got her a lovely stuffed bunny rabbit from tk maxx (love everything in there!!) and a hello kitty t-shirt, leggings and polka for cardi from sainsburys. It's 25% off all clothing in there at the moment so it was pretty cheap. Then I went in to Next and completely wished I had waited and got something from there. I hardly go in Next and never realised how gorgeous the kids clothes are! Oh well, I have another niece and a nephew to buy for this year so I'll definitely be going there :) oh and she's 1 :D

Have you seen the GP?

I am definitely going to try it then! I've suffered from acne since I was about 14 and I'm 21 now and it's never gotten any better. My GP gave me some cream to use but it made my skin so tight and dry it was unbearable! I have tried literally everything over the counter, and I'm thinking of going back to the doctor (if it wasn't so hard to get an appointment!) I use Clinique anti blemish solutions cleanser, and their oil free moisturiser, and boots expert sensitive foaming face wash in the mornings. I don't use much else apart from that in fear of allergic reaction. I know there's some sort of pill you can be prescribed but I'm not sure how well it would work. I suppose it's worth a try. I just sort of live with it now, but summer becomes a problem because I use makeup to cover the acne and I don't like wearing loads of makeup if it's hot :(

My best friend in high school had really bad acne. She was prescribed the pill for it and it worked really well for her. Definitely an option to consider I'd say :)

I was going to say, ask for a prescription of Roaccitane (sp?). The side affects are pretty horrendous but after your 4 week course it will be over with and all sorted.

I find that anti-blemish stuff actually makes acne worse. Try solely using a sensitive range- if you have the money Elemis. Most of those high-end counters will give you a sample size first. Aw, I hate acne, it makes so many gorgeous people feel crap :(

I'll make a doctors appointment next week! What are the side effects?! It would be worth it just for 4 weeks though. I'll have a look at Elemis too. I could spend an absolute fortune on toiletries if my OH would let me :D

Best side affect is dry skin, not being able to drink...

Worst is suicidal tendencies. As I said, it's not nice stuff.

Ooh forgot to say I bought a nice top from Dorothy Perkins! I usually find nothing in there but I tried on 5 tops and an absolutely beautiful tea dress!!! Wish I has bought it, it was so nice.

I'm so knackered but I'm up making Oreo cookie brownies for OH's new work friends as they are having a 'fuddle' tomorrow (dodgy Yorkshire word for a buffet). They smell amazing!

Oh sweet Jesus, I'm not entirely mentally stable as it is so I wonder if the GP would still give me a prescription for it? Worth a shot!

Maybe if you didn't go in specifically asking for it...just go and in a)burst in tears b) say something really needs to be done, anything.

Don't let them fob you off with cream!!

I wish I could pull off a tea dress, I look a bugger in them. I have to go for 50's not 40's- mad how those ten years make a difference!

I am the other way round! I look alright in a tea dress. I'm totally regretting not buying it. It was a lovely very pale creamy/minty colour with a very nice bird print. I need to stop buying things with birds on. My mum banned me from having any more bird tattoos saying I'll 'end up like that crazy cat lady off of the Simpsons only with birds instead of cats...' - her words, not mine.

I think i've seen it- it is lovely! Just don't tell your mum.

My Mum tells me I look like a tattooed lady from the circus freakshow. I take it as a compliment :D

Ah he trying to make you happy though. That's
Lovely. Tell him you much prefer diamonds lol.

Ooooh i love the kids stuff in next. Pretty much all my kids wear. Keeps so well. I just do a bulk buy at the sales though. Having enough clothes for twin Potty training 3 yr olds is a challenge lol.

Oh god the first thing she said to me when I had my collarbones done was 'WHAT IF YOU GET MARRIED AND HAVE A STRAPLESS DRESS?!' Mental mothers.

Snap! I'm not having one, just to keep her quiet. (a strapless dress I mean)

I said to OH 'when we have kids we are buying everything in Next!' He just nodded and smiled at me haha. I now understand why people go crazy over the Next sales!
