I was wonderin if I cud pick yer brains bout breastfeeding please hun. I hope 2 b able 2 breastfeed once baby is born but I'd ideally like 2 combine that wif hubby doin the odd bottle feed so I'l need 2 pump! Any suggestions on wat equipment etc I'l need 2 get wud b a fantastic help - I'v been lookin on line but it's just a mine field of info n wat 1 site says another seems 2 totally disagree with so I'm hopin 2 take advantage of yer expertise instead! lol! x

I'm using the Medela swing its quiet easy to use and frankly a fantastic brand. They use in hospitals and basically is just the single pump version of hospital one. Sterilise I prefer cold water Milton steriliser but microwave ones also get good reviews :)

I'm pumping twice a day and formula feeding rest of the time cause Isobel is not a good feeder and pumping all day too time consuming. It'll take a couple days for milk to come in so don't try pump for about a week I found.

Thanx hun, I really appreciate yer help! There's SOOO many different pumps etc it's hard 2 choose. I'v got a breast feedin consultant comin 2 visit me on Thurs but I'm not sure wat she can do 4 me wifout the baby! lol! I did query that wif her actually n she said she likes 2 visit 1st timers b4 the birth as well as after so it'll b interestin 2 c wat she says/does x

I wish I had that? Maybe I would've been able to feed both my kids if I'd had proper help, neither of them would latch without nipple shield (i use medela as well) and If I'd had help getting them on without it maybe they would feed better?? Who knows bit late to cry about it now x
 
I think mayb I'l wait til after I'v seen this woman on Thurs b4 buyin anything. I just feel that baby isn't 2 far away now n I'd like 2 ave as much organised in advance as poss. I'v been getting niggles in my back since yesterday evenin which ave been getting increasingly stronger n they'r startin 2 sweep round my bump since this afternoon. Not sure if this actually is the start of anythin tho! lol! :D

Part of me hopes baby's comin now cos I'm SOO impatient 2 finally meet him/her n the rest of me is freakin out cos my last day of work isn't til Wed n I'm snowed under! lol! I'l keep u informed tho hun n will def post a pic of bubs as soon as I ave 1 to post! lol! x
