Foodie thoughts and munchie mumbles, food diary of a self confessed chocoholic

Hi, just popping in to subscribe. Big Mac sounds goooooood!

Hiya :) The big mac was yummy, I actually don't have them that often so it was a treat :)

Been good today though and had a subway, which was just as good. I love all the salad, salad with jalapeños just tastes so good and I was braver than I usually am and had beef with sweet onion sauce. Up until recently I wouldn't go in Subway because I couldn't stand the smell and hate the thought of so many people handling my sandwich before I got it. However, the OH decided he wanted to try it and he loved it so much that we now always have lunch there if we go to Crystal Peaks shopping. Usually I have the veggie delight with cheese. I'm surprised that the points aren't higher, the tracker says 8pp but I worked it out to 7 without sweetcorn, olives and sauce. I still counted it as 9 with the sauce, just in case and to cover the pointed veggies.

Didn't get around to posting yesterdays food diary so I'll do it now.

Marks pizza, he didn't have peppers, jalapeños or olives but had extra pepperoni and some turkey ham on his.

They were lush and Mark didn't even notice they were not smothered in an inch of cheese, I think I may be getting somewhere with him lol!

Food looks delicious. Yum to pizzas - haven't had a wrap pizza for a while - think I may put that on this week's food list as I have some gluten free wraps in the freezer to try.

Pizzas look so yum did they taste as good as they look?

The pizzas were yummy, I would normally have thin crust pizza with veggie toppings, no meat and ask for only half the cheese if I was ordering, even when not dieting, but Mark would have the meat feast on a stuffed crust with extra cheese, so I think I'm finally winning a battle with him. These are perfect for me and the quorn pepperoni was quite nice, 1/4 of a pack(6 slices) is 1 pp on tracker but I weighed it on my ww scales and put the nvs in and it came out as 5 slices for 1pp, 2pp for 6 slices, there are 24 in a pack so glad I checked and didn't just go with the tracker.

Here to subscribe :) I saw the Quorn Pepperoni was reduced in Morrissons the other day, wondered what it would taste like! I'm a sucker for a Dominos so might have to give this a go! X

The pepperoni was nice, I would buy it again and Mark loved it too, not as spicy as real pepperoni but also not greasy either, to get it crunchy I would leave it in the oven longer or maybe grill a little before putting on the pizza.

I was making a background panel for a card I'm making for my Mum, trying a few techniques with my distress inks.

I weigh at home so as soon as I've had a pee in the morning lol! TMI!

And todays weigh in shows a loss of.... drumroll..... 3lbs wooooo!! *does a happy dance* :party0048: I only have 0.5lb to lose to get my first silver 7!!! :woohoo:
Right off to get brekkie and coffee and play with my new microwave that just arrived, going to have to juggle my kitchen around now!:coffee:

Oh yeah, I updated my sig as I actually lost 3.5lbs last week not 3 :D

Whoop Whop for 3lb Loss AND a new Microwave! What more could a girl want ;-) Well Done Sweetie! So proud of you :) x

Aww! Thanks Serena :hug99: My microwave packed up ages ago and we've been managing without but I begrudge putting the cooker on as it uses so much electric. I decided it was time to get a new one, my steamer was dying too so as it was pay day I treated myself to a new one of those as well. I actually use my steamer all the time, it's one of those things I couldn't live without as I cook all my veggies in it.

Anyhoo, enough waffling.

Thanks ladies :) Feeling fantastic today :)

Testing a ww recipe, switched it up a bit as Mark will not eat courgette and I already had my tomato sauce made. I just use Passata, onion, grated carrot, herbs, lemon juice and garlic, cook until it thickens up and all ingredients are cooked through. I can then use it as a base for any tomato based meal, last week I've used the thickened sauce for the pizzas and then thinned it with stock to make curry last week and the mousakka this week. The mousakka is cooked, looks yummy, can't wait to tuck in to it.

Been a busy bee this morning, made dinner, started sorting my kitchen cupboards, done Leslie Sansone 3 Mile Slim & Sleek Walk and had a bath. Really loving the walking videos, I've been using youtube but I think I might invest in these. I love zumba but my fibro doesn't and it cause me a lot of pain if I jump around too much. These walking exercises are perfect :)
