Frances' PP Diary

I dont eat red meat at all really.. Bit of steak once a month maybe.. And that's only of late.. And breakfast bacon once a week hee hee.. Can you even call that red meat??!!
I eat tonnes of green veg.. have just finished off the last of a batch of brocolli soup.. eat allot of sprouts too and green beans..

You're great at the veg hon, wish I was as good as you :) I love a bit of steak hehe. Best absorbed iron is from animal products apparently. What about low fat mince once/twice a week? You can have shepherds pie, bolognaise, burgers. Or make a beef stew in your slow cooker? Vitamin C helps absorb iron so an orange/apple too would be good ;) x

Yea I have ex lean mince a bit.. Not much tho.. I prefer pork mince or turkey mince.. If the doc comes back that it is an iron deficiency I'll have it more but I'll stick to what I like for now.. Thanks for the advice tho chic.. Much appreaciated :D
Brocolli is packed with Vit C too so no need for the extra fruit to absorb it in :) (found this out last night when I googled what fruit/veg have the most iron :))
I actually have a hi Vit C intake really.. I eat at least 1 apple and/or orange a day.. take a Berocca.. and eat a tonne of brocolli.. So my Vit C is OK ha ha.. its everything I need to up ha

Its easy for me to have a good fruit/veg intake as I love it.. But its only in the past maybe 3 years, if that, that I've started to eat so much veg. I never ate it as a kid.. The trouble my Mam had when I was a kid to sneak veg into my dinners..
Even into early adulthood I wouldn't touch it.. Now I crave it..

Hiya just catching up on all now. Francis when I was preggers I was tired all the time and took 'spatone' you get it in your health food shop or chemist. Its natural, easily digested iron with none of your usual side affects *ahem*, you add it to your orange juice or water for easy absorption, give it a go, its herbal so no harm! x

I think that's a good score after me eating out n all.. :) Though I should have had my chicken tenders but I'd have had the sauces which would have outdone the goodness of being good.. really enjoyed it and although our points are meant to be used eating junk, I'm covered pointswise :D So I don't care.

Sneaky WI this morning showed half pound down.. Good good :D

Yea I've been drinking loads of water this week.. I think my least day was 2.5ltrs.. Unusual!! But feck it.. I'm thirsty so i'm drinking it..
But I've made a rule that I'm not allowed tea til I'v had at least a litre of water.. So I'm already 1ltr down today :) Now I'll go, fill my bottle while making a cup of tea.. And sup on that for the morning.. refill at lunch (or just after if i'v not drank it all) and sup away then.. But I'm REALLY thirsty this week and last so i'm drinking more again when i'm at home..
Am doing brilliant on the water and fruit & veg intake.. But shocking on the exercise :( I've not moved a muscle towards training for that run!! :(

I haven't been out training since sunday hon... Been wrecked tired. Will go out after work... Working from home so can go straight out! Just stay off with a brisk walk if you don't wanna fly straight into it.
I'm terrible at drinking and hate water... I'm never all that thirsty. Love me tea and coffee though lol! X

Hiya girlies, how are we all. Dinner yesterday sounds lovely Francis, I've a real hankering for a take away. Fighting with myself not to have a day off.

I've switched to the operation transformation training schedual Francis and its not as bad as the c25k, yet anyway. Wouldn't worry about not starting yet though, you can always walk it if needs be, I'd say I'll walk/very slow jog it.
