No, you haven't got it wrong at all. I think my issues with overeating partly stem from being forced into diets when I was too young. Seemed perfectly okay at the time, but looking back, I shouldn't have even been thinking about my weight at that age :(

I think the reason I'm doing so well is because it was actually my choice to lose some weight this time.

Hasta i was the same, dieting from a really young age. We lived in a pub til i was 10. I was really depressed and filled that with sweets and cooked pork chops for dinner every night.

Once i moved away to Essex the dieting began, but none of them lasted and none of them worked.

It was never my mums fault but she was an anorexic so she never ate proper meals and i think that's where i started with the dieting and eating what i want.

I dont think dieting from a young age helped me at all but i think if rather than dieting i was more aware of the things about food SW has taught me i wouldnt be where i am now.

Morning girls

Hasta, thats good news on STS, its not gain :) and especially this time of year.

Minxy, hope your lips are better today hun.

Pesty, things are much better at home thanks. Its liveable and actually nice at times lol.. so even if it stays like that, its fine.

Sarah.. you are like me, bread is my main down fall. But I must say when Im on track with SW, I tend to stay away from it, only becuase I like my 2 alpen lights each day ;)

Don't know about anyone else, but these dark mornings, waking up to them, make you feel just tired and wanting to stay in bed. Have my sons girlfriend coming for tea tonight and as Im trying to do any last bits of shopping, have bought them all pizza's, so they will have to cook tea themselves, they are old enough ;).

Right off to work.. chat later. xxx

Hey EF, Glad things are better for you at home, i suppose that's the way of life isnt it. Things seem to look up at work and then work starts to play up, typical!!

Its hard for me too these mornings, OH is off work now until the new year and im finding it hard to get up with him still all snuggled up in bed!!! Im working right up until xmas eve (1/2 day) and then i am off until the new year, i saved my holiday up especially as i know OH has it off every year!

I dont know if this will interest any of you, for either yourselves or others but...

Hello again, and wow, you all appear to be doing so well! The discipline and will power on here is awe-inspiring!

Well, I've had a blip (ok, a loooong blip), and have crept back up to (this morning) 205lbs. I blame quitting SW, quitting the gym and not coming on here, but I might be wrong ;)

Anyway, get the panto out of the way tonight and I'll try and have a great weekend and week before Christmas to get me closer to that 200lb mark again.

Congrats to everyone here again for losing so regularly - great stuff!

YEAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! Hello Scanbran!!

Glad you could pop in a see us all!! Dont worry about the blip the important thing is that your back here with us and planning to get back on track. Im sure you'll have off the gain in no time!!

Hope you enjoy the panto!!! xx

Yay - welcome back, Scanbran. The thread has been missing a certain je ne sais quoi.

And well done for getting your focus back after your blip. Considering it's been a while, you really haven't slipped that badly: you can get that back in no time!

And yes - have a good panto. Oh no you won't!

That's coz you are a dirty filthy smutmonkey Margy, but I'm sure you knew that already!!

Welcome back SB, like the others said, could have been a lot worse, and we are none of us perfect!!

You'll soon turn things around again.

That's coz you are a dirty filthy smutmonkey Margy,

This made me hoot yesterday when I was sitting in work and everything was quiet. How come things like this always happen when there is a lull in the workplace?

Someone randomly hooting when they should be just quietly working on their computer causes many raised eyebrows I find. By the way I have never been a smutmonkey before - I feel honoured and proud! :D

Can some one tell me how much weight it's physically possible to put on, in just one day, if you eat everything that moves?

I don't want to know how much I can eat, Margy. I know that. The answer is LOADS.

I want to know whether there is a limit as to how much weight I can put on by doing it, if I only do it for one day, and then go straight back to being 100% good.
