Well I am ashamed to say that when I went on holiday I was 162, when I came back I was 172.8, but this morning back to 167.1
I have a renewed commitment, it is stupid to be languishing this close to goal and spending all this ££ and just f-ing about!
 
I know how you feel... I can't believe this last little bit is being so strubborn. Or is it me being stubborn, bending the rules cos I think I know best? Hmmm. Not answering that!

Afternoon folks, l'm home for lunch just now (just had my CD spicy tomato soup), l would say it's a good afternoon apart from it's bucketing down here & l've to walk back to work (less than 10 mins away mind you), l always try & drink a bottle of water on the way to & from work, it's not so enjoyable though when it's raining!

Hope you are all having a good day and having better weather where you are.

Hope Slim is doing ok.

Week 2

Hi Katycakes,

Thanks for the welcome. What's to tell about myself. I'm 23, Male (only male in the team I gather) I already know Slimpossible and Quizzicalgrrl. I am on the 10th day of the CD. I am finding it good at the moment. There are days where I want to pig out on Chocolate and crisps but my main battle is Carbs. Bread, rice, pasta, potatoes....

I have refrained from doing so. It was a big boost to lose 8lbs in my first week. So this week I am being extra good. Not even going to have a glass of Pimms (Cheated).

I am struggling though to have 3 shakes and a meal. I have 2 shakes then eat a meal in the evening and feel too full to have another shake. I have tried to force them down.

Aw, hi Max... it's great that you know Slim & Quizz already, I am guessing that may mean you are in London! You can definitely do this... and you're off to a great start. I was a chocolate addict AND a carb addict before CD and now I don't think I care if I ever see a chocolate bar again... except the CD kind, of course! And am just starting 1200 step so carbs are now allowed again, but my tastes have changed a lot over the last 5 months and I am loving wholemeal options... yum!

Just to report, had my WI and lost 2.4lbs this time... I am now a seriously torturous .2 of a lb away from my target!!! Arghhh! But very happy, as I am so, so close. Maybe by the weekend?!!!

I have tried to write something all morning but again there's a big pain in my life that seems to take up all of my time! WORK!
Don't you just love it?! I am now just taking my 2nd shake of the day, lovely strawberries. I wish it had vodka in it to make it a strawberry daquiri!

It's nearing the weekend, where usually I would stop at the shop and buy a bottle of wine, some snacks and veg out in front of the TV and watch stupid TV until I pass out. Well I won't be doing that tonight. (Drink is forbidden). So I have decided to clean my bathroom and bedroom instead. The joys!

How is everyone this fine Friday? All going well I hope.

Disney How are you today?

Hi Quizz, l'm fine thanks, apart from still feeling a bit tired & cold - it's been raining (a lot!) & is really cold & windy here.
I was saying to my CDC this morning about feeling cold & she says that's quite common on CD, but in time your body adjusts to it. I guess since losing weight my body has less "insulation" ;) to keep it warm. LOL

Results of today's weigh-in: l've lost 3lb this week. :)

I always find CD harder at the weekends - at lunchtime today l was in M&S foodhall getting food for my husband & the kids for the weekend, knowing l won't be having any of it. Hopefully in a couple of months l'll be joining in with family meals again, as long as l make healthy choices.

Morning all,

Well the weekend is over. It's the start of a new week. I have weigh in less than 5 hours time. I'm a little nervous of this week, more so than last week...... I cheated a little over the weekend. I had 2 glasses of wine. :-( My bad! I just have to be more disciplined.

I'm still struggling to have all 3 shakes and a daily meal. I feel so full. Is this normal? I always have to force the 3rd shake/soup down. I have missed 3 shakes already this week.

How is everyone else doing?

Max, good luck for your weigh-in tonight.

I'm on SS 3 CD soups/shakes a day (no meals) & sometimes find l'm really full. You can start having the CD bars (one a day) after the first two weeks. I've definately enjoyed CD more since l included the bars in my diet.

It didn't go as I expected but still I lost. Not much as I thought or wanted to though. 4 and a half pounds. :sigh: Again, at least it's still a loss. I think I have to be more strict next week and start doing more exercise!!

Oh well... I just have to focus on the good summer body that I want and work harder for it! Bring on the summer!!

Feel a little deflated though. :booboo:

Onwards and upwards. Almost at the stone mark! w00p w00p....

Max, losing another 4 1/2lb is good, it really is, the first week's loss is always the biggest. Try not to feel downheartened - losing almost a stone in 2 weeks is brilliant, well done. :happy096:
