Ok no, hiding place, no beating around the bush and no excuses.
TONIGHT I WENT TO WI AS I NORMALLY GO EVERY TWO WEEKS NOW. I FELT OUT OF CONTROL SO WENT THIS WEEK INSTEAD OF NEXT WEEK. JUST AS WELL I DID!!!
I GAINED SINCE LAST WEDNESDAY NOT 1LB, NOT 2 OR 3, 4? - NO 5? MORE? ,,,6? HIGHER 7 YOU'RE JOKING? 8 ALMOST. 8.5LB IN ONE WEEK!
I knew it had been a bad week. I'd been down, felt (and was ill) last Thursday, then had to stop my walking as you all recall because of damaged feet! add to that the extra protein I'd been having (to fuel the walks) and the non-stop picking and grazing and although I was expecting a gain, I am stunned to have gained 8.5lb in one week.
In fact, I still don't think it is possible. I've never gained that much IN A WEEK BEFORE. In fact even Florida where I completely "went for it" I only gained 9.5lb in TWO weeks!!!
I'm not upset, or miserable about it, I am, however stunned! - I received such a lovely PM from Jackie thanking me for my help and encouragement/motivation for her being 100% after I set the challenge, and then I do this to myself
Obviously I secretly believe the scales were knackered, but I have to get on with it and as you are all aware I love a challenge. This challenge then is to get back to where I was!
Dear Dawnie - I went from 10st 11lb to 11st 5lb - not much of a challenge for you there hun lol. I'm 4lb above my upper target range!! As I mentioned to you earlier, it was almost like I was sabotaging myself in order to get back to losing - though this isn't exactly the amount I had in mind
On a more positive note, I manAged today to complete another mini-challenge by not touching a slice of bread during the month of August. Though I think I have now proven beyond all doubt that bread isn't the necessary evil I thought it was!
Really looking forward to my chicken sandwich at work tomorrow!! and my occasional soldiers (with soft-boiled eggs)
So, I do feel shocked, as I say, stunned even, but strangely calm. It is almost like an experiment I had to try and it failed, but I had to try it anyway. Oh and for the record, the last week includeD no bread, no booze, no cake, no biscuit, no chips, pizza or indeed anything out of a frying pan. So not like I went mad. It was all down to my p*ss-poor interpretation of extra easy and probably portion control. OH AND TOO MANY BANANAS!
Right there you are, all out, all 'fessed-up - a cleansing. Now for the public hanging, although I know you'd not be so callous (well, not all of you) i know what I have to do and am bloody minded enough to go and do it! - 100% for two weeks, plenty of body magic by re-starting the walking (hurrah).
Having felt a bit low of late and work associated problems etc. I now feel better. Almost like the worst that could happen has happened, and it's like a weight off my shoulders (or should that be on my shoulders ha)
Anyway, far from feeling down, I'm feeling better - determined almost and although this is one of my serious posts, I'm sure normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.
My 2 week target is 7.5lb to get back to target. Wish me luck me lovelies
