From Maximus to Minimus - coming soon!

Steve - hmmmmm so you are human after all. Seriously though, you are a determined so & so as Lou said so I'm sure that 7.5 lbs in 2 weeks will be a doddle. Have to say I think I agree with about the scales mind. It sounds like an awful lot in a week when you didn't eat any junk.

So get back to it Mr Motivator otherwise you harem might abandon you.

And what's all this about a secret meeting with Lou?
Out in the open boy and spill the beans.

'Tis no secret meeting, there'll be at least 40000 witnesses;)

I reckon you did it on purpose so you have something to aim for ;-)

You know it'll go in a couple of weeks

Thanks for that vote of confidence. I did consider that somewhere in my psyche I had subconsciously did that. THen Dawn probably reminded me I'n too shallow for such deep thoughts and I'd never have getting away with that;)

Oh dear. That's a bit of a bummer, Steve, isn't it?
But you do like a challenge, and you didn't like just maintaining without one, so you've given yourself a new one, deliberately.

Isn't that the case?

Anyway, I'll be up there to help you walk some more of it off within the stated 2 weeks.
Or else force you out for a meal to put some more of it on.
Or both?

Plans are afoot, anyway. Will PM shortly.

Yes, well, let me know asap - I will probably need to juggle, (swap a shift) but if you are free for a Saturday OR a Sunday that should be ok.

Chels...I think you and I must have been twins separated at birth...;)

Should have been drown at bir.... no, sorry, no nastiness on here that's my own rule:p

And so to today's parable.

It is said, Man cannot live by bread alone. This is a true saying, but after one month without the "manna from Heaven" (or was it from Warburtons?) I had my HEX B fix today and it was like welcoming back a long lost friend!

'Tis also fair to say, Man can not without bread live!

I'm going to list my food diary today - possibly for a few days. It helps writing it down.

Breakfast consisted of a capuccino made with the milk element in the Tassimo (I think that was 2.5syns/50 kcal.

Weetabix (x2) was the hex B and 250ml of s/s milk the HEXA.

I've kept a little milk back for a nice cuppa tea - not had one in months!

Lunch was the afore-mentioned bread, with a oven-cooked chicken breast sliced with approx 1syn for the Flora Lighter-than-light spread. (I skipped the mayo as good chicken don't need anything).

I also added a banana, 2x plums (It's a blokey thing;)) and an apple.

At work I had 2x black coffees (1 in the am and 1 in the pm) and 6 cups of water! - 4 cold and 2hot/warm apparently aids digestion.

1 can of diet coke for lunch.

Evening meal was a nice simple salad. As I hadn't shopped yet (tomorrow evening) it was a simple case of boiling a couple of eggs. I completed this with laughing cow triangles (x4) for my final HEXA - weird combination I know.

Edit I forgot the 2 syns for the "Good for you dressing" 50ml = 40kcal - can't have dry salad.

Total syns 5.5 - too few so I'll have a hifi bar (Lemon) with my cuppa making it 11.5ish for the day.

All hot drinks coffee, tea etc. taken with sweetners.

Oh and 1.5 mile body magic. I walked today for the first time since last Wednesday. Feet were great, but after a week off, the tops of legs/thighs were really feeling it - only 1.5 mile!! just shows how you can't lay-off for any length of time.

Anyway, in the words of Lena Martell (or was it Alcoholics anonymous?) one day at a time. talk about back to basics! - I think I can say I was 100% today. another 13 of them and we'll be back in business.

I'll need plenty of fruit and veg piled up, and will back off the crisps, dips & stuff as although nice from time-to-time, not an essential. After all that's what got me to target in the first place:)

I think (hope) even counting drinks etc. will help - especially as we often mistake thirst for hunger:p

Steve - man on a mish....

Oh and thanks again everyone for the support and kind words. PM's and emails etc. it really helps and really keeps motivation and focus. This is such a positive place that failure isn't an option. In fact nobody ever fails - they only have the odd setback!

Bless you all.

And so endeth the sermon.

(no offence to anyone intended as it was a theme and not a go at anyone's beliefs)

Somebody recommend me some breakfast ideas. WITHOUT using any HEX's. I want to save them for later.

I don't have a sweet tooth, so that's a problem. I can only think of omelettes- SW-style breakfast is ok on weekends but not workdays.

Part of my planning you see.

my motto;

Fail to prepare, prepare to Fail!

(who writes this rubbish;))

I'm a fruit & yog person myself, but also I prefer poached eggs to scrambled as I can't stand scrambled without fat . . .
also bacon & beans or Spanish omelette with lots of veg in rehearted in the mico.

Now I know this mighty sound odd but for a green day I also like left-over rice that's been boiled with veg in (peas, carrots & sweetcorn) - heat in the micro to get it hot then break a beaten egg into it and stir it in - heat for a few seconds on the hob until the egg is just lightly cooked. A bit like stir fried rice but no fat.

On a red day I like grilled bacon chopped up with a tin of whole tomatoes (without juice). Stick in a ramekin (or bowl) and drop a poached egg in the middle. Break the yolk into the toms mixture and stir. Yum.

A few ideas without Hex's!

PS anyone any ideas where I put my good watch?

Its where you left it sweetie...bedside table...I'll pop it in the post for you ;) x

Thanks Lynne! - I try to do the stuff I wouldn't normally do, or try a few more experiences. Haven't booked the Police Shooting Range yet, but I fancy that too! - Oh and a balloon ride;)

Swimming with Manatees sounds cool, but not sure I will have the time to do it all. Looks like I better book for next year!

Oh there was a one where I could go up and take the controls in one of those bi-planes (I never realised planes had sexual orientation) very expensive though for what it is. I always fancied myself as Biggles:eek:

Could be another challenge...

S

Ooooh sounds so exciting! I used to contribute to a Florida Travel Forum, and used to love reading about others holidays and plans, and how many different places you could visit, other than Disney/Universal, so look forward to hearing about it all!

I GAINED SINCE LAST WEDNESDAY NOT 1LB, NOT 2 OR 3, 4? - NO 5? MORE? ,,,6? HIGHER 7 YOU'RE JOKING? 8 ALMOST. 8.5LB IN ONE WEEK!

That surely is a good gain, and I have to say I'm impressed;), as I thought 3.5lbs after my extended birthday weekend was good!:D
But, in a strange way I was glad that I gained, because otherwise I would have thought that there was something wrong with me and I was losing weight, and not SW working, if that makes sense.

Last I saw you weren't wearing any clothes so its not in your pocket :D

I'll set 'em up Louou, you deliver 'em:D
gosh brekkie with no HEX's is hard

mullerlight and fruit
scrambled egg, bacon, tomatoes , mushrooms. I would scramble eggs in microwave and bacon tomatoes mushrooms on george foreman (if you had one) as so quick

I keep forgetting about George - never use it lol Microwave scrambled eggs are out though. I like egg-flavoured eggs, not rubber;) - I'm a pan & wooden spoon guy:cool:

How our Steve manages to walk 250 miles in a few weeks as well as keeping us happy, only the Lord knows ;)

The drugs DO work;)

Haha - Lynne, we need to talk. Gaining 8.5lb in a week is like a dwarf with learning difficultes!

It's not big and it's not clever!;)

If I lost that much, then you'd be allowed to be impressed. At least feign mock horror with a few "tut-tuts".

Ok now I need some help! - I've messed up today by changing plan at the death!

HEXA + HEXB for breakfast (Weetabix & Milk). with 2.5 syn capuccino (becoming a habit already).

Lunch was the normal 2xplums, banana & apple with the second HEXA+HEXB combo - incorporating a cheese sandwich. (1syn allowed for spread).

Evening meal I finished off the salad (2syn for GFY dressing) and finish off the lamb I had to get rid of by drooping it in a Rogan Josh sauce 10.5syns (almost ashamed to say purchased and not self-made - though in my defence, it was just to save binning the lamb lol)

I also boiled 80g of wholemeal rice, - hence the extra easy switch. Forgetting I had already had 2 HEXA's and 2 HEXB's!

So 14 syns in total

Do I syn the 80g of rice and call it flexi, or do I call it extra-easy and syn the HEX A & B?

How many syns for the rice?

or should I syn the HEXA & B? (presumably 6 syns each? adding 12 to the 14)

This is what happens when you don't want to waste anything and do not plan well enough. With hindsight I should have either thrown the lamb or had it with the salad, or did the currie and ate it without rice. (damn you extra-easy;))

I'm off shopping shortly and ensure I'm better prepared for the coming week.

Right then! SEAFOOD!!!

Not to worry, not a massive mistake - not the end of the world.:p

I'll have pre-planned menus for next week - no excuses.

Steve

I agree Jackie,

Better to syn the A and B xx

Although tbh, I would probably just write it off as a flexi day and start again in earnest. I'm doing that today as although breakfast and tea was fine, we had a lovely buffet at my uncles funeral today and I'm over my syns. I'm not someone who's ever counted my syns on a weekly basis but I know alot of people do well by doing this.

So I'm just going to for get today and throw in a few SEx days this week to try and make up for it.

That should suit you down to the ground Stevie babe! :flirt2:

SEx mad you are Dawnster. And at your advanced years....

How lazy am I my girlies? - I actually bought Weightwatchers bacon instead of trimming fat from normal bacon. Weightwatchers sausages, free range eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans.

Can anyone guess what tomorrows breakfast might be?;)

Can't believe I spent Friday night in Asda and not the pub:p

Anyway, just heard today this year's works Christmas Party (yep, it soon comes around!) is a Medieval Night at a local castle (Lumley Castle in Co. Durham) - it includes 2 goblets of mead/wine as well as typical 1595 food.

What did you eat in them days again Dawn?
;)

Do you get to have a "Plus One"?

Please sir, please sir, Me sir! I love Lumley Castle!

Can I get to top of the list by being the first of your harem actually to know where it is? I could even navigorate to it without a map!

lol, I was born under the sign of the twins.......tell me, are you the good twin or the naughty twin ;) :D x

Well I thought I was the naughty one.....

Until I met YOU! :)

HEEEE HEEEEE. Dawn, you are a very naughty girl, but I'm not sure you are in Lorrayne's league.........................

actually, now I'm not sure. Maybe you are ;)
