FUNCURLS FOOD DIARY, BLOG and CHIT CHAT!! New target set!!

Yes - where are you chica? You said you'd be back soon.

Hey Ladies.....so I'm back!!!! Thank you for all your support I appreciate it so much and hope none of you think I've been ungrateful or ignorant!! I just haven't been in the right frame of mind to chat about weight loss when it's been the last thing on my mind. I'm sure it would have been the best thing for me to continue to post and chat to you wonderful ladies who are always so inspiring in so many ways!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!!

Kally I know this one must have been a hard one for you without your Mum. I hope you and your family were able to still enjoy it and you know she was with you really!

It's going to take time for me to catch up on everyone so please bear with me! I have also just returned to work on 3rd January so I am just finding my feet again there too, but it's all positive stuff!! I need to get some routine and control back in my life and a brand new year seems a good time to start!!

Well I returened to my Slimming World class last night and had the most wonderful welcome back! What was also fantastic was that a few other 'oldies' returned with me, they had all gone off the rails for various personal reasons but we felt strong and united and raring to go! The excitement and buzz in the room was quite something!!

The bad news was that since my last weigh in I have gained 1 stone 9 1/2 lbs (23 1/2 lbs)!!!!! Shock horror!!! Which is actually 26 1/2 lbs up from target!! The good news is that I feel so ready to tackle it!! I set myself some mini targets last night taking me all the way back to target! There were 11 small ones and I look forward to ticking them off one by one as I achieve them!!

Well I need to get ready for work now!! I am starting a new food diary but I'm not totally organised yet with meal planning and working 12 til 8 for the next couple of days so won't be totally organised until later in the week but that's fine I will still be 100% on plan and totally in the zone!!

Hi everyone!!!!XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Good morning sweetie, so good to have you back - big hugs.
As for the gain, you'll kick that into touch pretty quick I have no doubt about that. I'm back on SW since New Year - my body is damn happy about it too. No more quick fix then pile it all back on diets for me, being back here is like coming home.

Take each day as it comes xxx

Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee - the Hevs is back :D
Lovely to see you again chica and as Claire said you'll have the weight gone again in no time, especially the Xmas bloat!

Hope work today goes well and see you on the DGs fred when you havethe time.

Hello Hevs

First of all I am so, so sorry to hear your sad news. I just want to send you a big squashy hug.

I am back and going to group this time to keep me on track. So hopefully will see you around here. I looked for you but didn't see your thread until now.

I'm so sorry honey. I hope you are ok xxx

Hi Kals and all the rest of you lovely ladies who chat with me and visit me here, even though I've been useless lately! So sorry I haven't been on Minis for a while - I've been finding life incredibly tough recently due to the illness of my Mum. But I will be back in full swing soon!

Sadly Mum passed away this afternoon and I am devastated! Down with Dad and my Brother Matt at the moment.

Mum put up a brave fight and was positive and upbeat until the end when she could no longer beat the cruel disease! XxX

Oh Heather I'm so so sorry about your mum's passing. May her soul rest in perfect peace. Stay strong and lean on loved ones for comfort.
We're here for you if you need us! :bighug:

Thank you hun thats really sweet of you to pop by and say that!! So sorry to hear about your Mum- so you're going through it too. Was it expected? Mine had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer 3 1/2 years previously. Long illness and took us on a roller coaster journey that's for sure! Is your Dad still around? How are you all coping? I bet Christmas was terribly hard! !! XxxxxX

Hello Hev !!!

I too am so sorry about your mum. It is such an enormous loss.

Please, please forgive me for disappearing for so long but I was in a really, really bad place, regained all my weight and lots of other probs, but like so many others I too am back and well on plan and still enjoying my " Hev omelette's most days and never tire of them.

Enormous hugs from both of us, Paul lost his mum in the last year (today would have been her birthday) so there is a Paul hug in there too.

lots of love xxxxxxxxxxx

Yes Christmas was tough but ok. Dad is still around and had been ok too.

My Mum was ill for nearly 3 years but it was always hoped she would get better. She had something I can't pronounce (a neurological disease), this rendered her bed ridden for the last 2 years and she ended up with a urinary tract infection which killed her. That's the first time I've written it down. She was 67.

Sorry if too much x

Bless you Lisa

(hugs)

I think we have all been through a tough year Hev and Lisa
there is no magic formula for dealing with grief and we all
muddle along and do the best we can
Our mums wouldnt have wanted us to be unhappy and they
wouldn't have wanted to live only a half a life with there related
illnesses....
They are with us every day, in every single thing we do...and always
will be

I know you're right :)
My Mum hated being stuck in bed or a wheelchair and I believe she's much happier now.

I'm glad I've found you both as you both know how I feel :bighug:
