Gemma's Diary Mixed Days - red, green, EE - new to EE advice welcome

19/03/2013 - GREEN DAY

B: x2 Alpen Light Bars (HEB)
L: x5 scan bran (HEB), some topped with sliced banana and others with 5 Laughing Cow Light Triangles (HEA) and marmite
D: Jacket potato and can of Stagg Classic Chilli (5 syns)
Snacks: Strawberries, Muller Light, Orange, Hi Lights Hot Chocolate (2 syns)
Drinks: No added sugar juice, Tea and coffees - 500ml Alpro Light Soya Milk (HEA)
 
20/03/2013 - RED DAY:
B: x2 Alpen Lights (HEB)
L: x5 scan bran (HEB) topped with "egg mayo" (3 boiled eggs mixed with Kraft f/f french dressing), banana, strawberries and Mullerlight
D: chicken curry, made with cooked chicken (any skin removed), mushrooms and onions with Maykway Curry Powder (50g used = total 8 syns and split three ways = 2.5 syns) served with BNS chips
Snacks: French Fries (4 syns) and Hi Lights Hot Choc (2)
Drinks: No added sugar juice, tea and coffees - 500ml Alpro Light Soya Milk (HEA)
 
Thursday 21/03/2013:

B: 40g All Bran (heb), sliced banana and part 500ml Alpro Light Soya Milk (HEA)
L: x5 scan bran (heb), x5 LC Light Triangles (HEA), sliced tomatoes and cooked ham, Mullerlight
D: Cooked Chicken (fat removed), turnip and swede mash and sugar snap peas
Snacks: Velvet Crunch (4 syns), melon, orange, kiwi, mixed berries with Mullerlight and meringue nest (2.5 syns), Hi Lights Hot Chocolate (2 syns)
 
Friday 22/03/13 - RED DAY - Hungry Day!!

B: Scrambled egg on toast x2 small slices wholemeal 400g loaf (HEB) Hi-Fi Light Bar (3 syns)
L: x5 scan bran (HEB), 5 LC Light Triangles (HEA) and marmite, Mullerlight, Melon and orange
D: WW Bacon (all fat trimmed) and mushroom omelette and BNS Chips
Drinks: tea and coffee - 400ml Alpro Light Soya Milk (HEA), Hi- lights hot chocolate (2 syns), water, no added sugar juice.

I realised I was drinking sweetened soya milk and only allowed 400ml of this so I have been having an extra 100ml a day! The bottles are so confusing?! So if you're going to drink soya milk double check if it's sweetened or not!

Saturday 23/03/2013 - RED DAY:

Snacks: Mullerlight, Melon, Quavers (4 syns), orange, Alpen Light (3 syns), Hi Lights Hot Choc (2 syns)

Yey no alcohol this week, hope it pays off for WI on Tuesday :D
 
Sunday 24/03/2013 - extra easy
B: 35g bran flakes (heb), sliced banana, part 400ml sweetened soya milk (hea)
L: lamb, cabbage, boiled potatoes, turnip, gravy (4 syns)
D: beef, mashed potato (8 syns cream and butter!), kale, carrots, broccoli, gravy (4 syns)
snacks: slice of lemon drizzle yoghurt cake (4 syns sugar & flour), piece of quark, white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake (10 syns for pastry crust and sugar), 2 oranges, alpen light (3 syns), hi lights hot choc (2 syns)

had a craving for sweet things, went well over my syns but never mind it was Sunday and felt a bit naughty!! 35 syns total (estimated....)
 
Hi Lisa, thanks my lunches are a tad repetitive but I'm trying to get scan bran in as much as possible hence it's a bit samey everyday for lunch! What plan do you follow.? Gemma x

I tend to do more green days but like you, I'm finding my meals very samey!
Ergh I'm not a scan bran fan ( ha it rhymes) but have heard good things about it.

How long have you been doing sw? X
 
How are your red days going?

I managed it all week and really haven't missed my pasta and stuff! Been loving the bread and cereal I can have but thanks to star week I feel really bloated so not sure if my red week will help. I had a flexi syns night the other night regarding booze but we'll see :)

i started sw back in 2006 managed to lose a lot, maintained for years and I've re-set my target and gone back to group as I was starting to get in to bad habits (weekend binges!!) I joined 4 weeks back and have lost 8.5lbs since being back I'm so happy with that! Great to get some up date info and books too as I was doing a few things wrong with HE changes etc... I don't mind the scan bran (as you can probably tell!!ha) but it seems to be doing good things for me so I'm sticking with it...
 
Monday 25/03/2013 - RED DAY:
B: x2 Alpen Lights (HEB)
L: x5 scan bran (HEB) with 2 sliced bananas
D: Shepherd's Pie (Extra Lean Minced Beef, mushrooms, onions, Shepherd's Pie mix (5 syns per sachet), topped with carrot and swede mash and 30g cheddar (HEA)
Drinks: no added sugar juice, tea and coffee, 400ml Alpro Sweetened Light Soya Milk (HEA)
Snack: strawberries topped with Mullerlight toffee yoghurt, x2 oranges
TOTAL SYNS: Shepherd's Pie mix (made 2 portions so 2.5 syns), Hi Lights Hot Choc (2 syns), Skimmed Milk (2 syns) - had coffee at my sister's which was not taken from my milk allowance.
