Getting skinnier and healthier with SW

Hi Hun,
zizzis was lovely. The balls were quite strong and rich but nice. There were 3 the size of biggish meatballs and a little tomato salsa dip which worked really well with it. :)
so chuffed for you Hun!!
Feel sort of in the mood for it, just need to get food today and then I'll be ok. I think now I've got my job I feel like I'm getting back to normality almost, so we shouldn't be eating out as much xx
 
Glad you had a nice weekend and made up with Chris. The food all sounds amazing too.

How are you enjoying the gym? I'm only managing to get there once a week because I'm paying as a go at the moment so it's quite expensive. I think I'll join properly in a month or so if I stick with it so I'll be able to go more regularly then x

Re the take away issue last week- pizza hut/dominoes is really harsh on SW, what about Chinese instead? or Sushi or Subway or Thai? At those places there are plenty of yummy options under 15 syns- like a whole dish of sweet and sour chicken hong kong style (in the sauce) with half a big noodle dish is less than 15! Pizza places... it is just impossible to be good while enjoying something nice! (I'm not going to watch anyone eat pizza while I eat a salad- ha!)
I think you need to explain to him how destructive his convincing you is... it put you off plan for a few days! But if you can say no to pizza and go to other places you may feel satisfied but less guilty ;)

I think I convinced him that he's not helpful, but I don't help myself either sometimes. Think now ill be working, I'll get into a routine and it will be much easier. On Saturday we had lunch before we went shopping, normally he'll have said he wasn't hungry and then wanted something in town.
Mylo ate his bed :-( we came home on Tuesday eve and he'd destroyed it, so he's back to his hard bed with his blanket in it. Naughty!! But he's still my gorgeous boy :)

Glad things are sorted with Chris....as you say, once you get into your new routine, things can get back to normal a bit and planning will be easier...then you can still enjoy the odd takeaway, but see them as a treat instead of the norm and really look forward to them! Yum! :)

Just got back from the gym, and only did 35 mins but feel really good. I've been quite nervous to go because its a new gym and its quite small. Plus because its an raf gym all the people in it tend to be super fit. But need to think I'm not gonna be like them if I don't get in the gym, need to tone up. Really enjoyed my workout so might go tomorrow too :)
im lucky with this, it's £5 to join and that's it. Some people's gym bill is £50+ a month, which is tons. Sophie on here in near a Virginia gym that's £80 a month!! I couldn't afford that, I'd have to start running again. I'm hoping the x trainer will start getting rid of arm fat. U got any other tips? Maybe some weights at home.

Mine will be £30 a month and because it's the local council run leisure centres I'll have access to all of them. Really handy because there's one near work and a couple near home so there'll be no excuses!

Good for you braving it. The gym near my work is really small too and it's full of posers who just seem to hang around the weights but not actually do anything. Last time I just plugged in my earphones and watched Neighbours(!) and ignored them.

I agreed with the trainer that I'd stick to the cardio machines just now to work on weightloss and fitness then I'll start on the weights to tone up. Definitely need to work on my arms too! X
 
Day after food shop :)

Hiiii,
I'm a little but buzzing, because I've been up since before 6. Our bedroom was sweltering this morning, I woke up sweating but the heating wasn't on so no idea why??
Then Chris got up for work so I got up too. Mylos already had his walk. We've got a plumber coming at some point between 8 and 1, so just sort of waiting around a lot today :-S

Managed to get my food shop finally done yesterday! Woop woop! And got loads of yummy goodies. Danio yoghurts, Gouda babybels, lots of alpenstock and ww baguettes, yummy fruit. :)

only planned as far as breakfast so far today, there's just so much in, I can't even decide. Think well have lemon chicken, rice and veg for tea, not sure about lunch, maybe coronation chicken salad, quite fitting I think. Lol.

The top of my back is really achy after the gym yesterday, not sure what I've done, but sort of feel like I need to power through it and just go again. If it hurts on the x trainer, maybe go on the bike or something?

Plumber here now, so he should be gone nice and early. And I'm glad it's a different man to last time, the last one was perverted!!

Is it sunny up there? Since the sun rises earlier and is really hot, my bedrooms been getting very warm too! Not that I'm complaining..just need to remember to leave a window open!

I love having my cupboards stocked up! So much choice though...... Your food plan sounds great.

That's not so good about your back. The trainer at my gym suggested that those sort of sit-down bikes might be best if you've got a sore back. You know the ones I mean? They've not got a proper bike seat, it's more like a kind of seat with a back. I call it the lazy bike but he's insistant it's just as good, lol!

Great the plumber has arrived early so you can make the most of the rest of your day. I'm sitting at my desk looking out at the blue sky and sunshine, I hope it's like that where you are - at least you'll get to enjoy it!

When do you start your job?

I always try to eat before going out, glad to hear Chris did too but he.can always go eat on his own while you shop if he doesnt want to eat before! Maybe a few lone trips to pizza hut will make him feel like a piggy and change his mind about eating before? :p
It does make me appreciate how patient Gerard is with me, he tuts when I eat something naughty and eats his oven pizzas and chocolate etc in the other room rather than in front of me! :O he is a good boy.
 
Tuesday catch up!

Hello all,
thought I'd do a little update,
food from today:

b- danio blueberry yoghurt (3 syns), raspberries, blueberries, melon, mango, strawberries
l- coronation chicken made up of ff Greek yoghurt, curry powder, chicken and mango chutney (4 syns) with a salad of lettuce, rocket, spring onion, cucumber, tomato, and a wholemeal roll (hex b)
s- milky bar ice Lolly (5 syns)
d- sw lemon chicken (4 syns), boiled rice, broccoli, green beans and babycorn
supper- babybel light, babybel guoda, yoghurt, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, melon, mango

i have had 16 syns today but it really doesn't feel like it. Didn't realise the danio was that much until I checked just now, and same with the mango chutney.
Didnt manage to go to the gym today, my arms are still killing now, as is the top of my back. Hoping for a little rub later ;-) might be lucky and it will leave me less stiff.
But I did manage to buy some lovely new trainers and a new work out top :)
so fingers crossed ill manage to fit in the gym tomorrow.

The car is in for a service tomorrow so dropping it off at about 8.30. I'll try to walk mylo before that, and the garage is quite far our of town, so I'm going to walk into town, probably a few miles, and then I'll get the bus home.
Then my uncles dog is coming for a play date with mylo.

Tomorrows food plan:
B- fruit and yoghurt maybe?
l- maybe stuffed pepper, or some pasta?
d- turkey burger, sw chips, salad

not a big plan, but an idea, more than I had been having.

Weigh in wednesday

Soooo it's WI day for me today... And strangely it was good news.
I was 13st 0.4, so I've lost 1.7lbs miracle :))

so got up this morning, walked mylo, had breakfast, yoghurt and fruit ( pic below). Then took the car for its service.
walked into town, got some baby gros for my cousins baby who is due this week. Little gap ones über cute, just need to get something to go with them....

Pasta with vegetables for lunch,
got 2 dogs destroying the house today, dexter is getting picked up about 2, so hopefully will squeeze some time at the gym before I have to go get the car at 4.30. Quite a long walk tho :-(

shattered already, so I think an early night is in order :)

Sounds like a very productive day Emma. Lots of walking and the gym, go you!

Your breakfast looks yummy. Do you make up the fruit salads yourself or do you buy them? I'm a bit lazy and usually buy them already prepared!

not really had a good day. I have foodwise, but not in general.
Mylo was a pain on his walk this morning, then I had to rush to get the car to the garage.

Was looking after my uncles dog, who was an angel, but he got mylo all excited and he was a little ****..... All day!!! Got a huge hole in the garden.
Then found out that my uncle was at home today, we didn't need to have dexter at all.
Car cost £279 instead of £99 due to a the extra stuff we needed to have done.
We got a pop up blind for the window in the porch for mylo and it's not as easy as we'd hoped to put up...
All in all a grrrr day.

Food was good :)
B- fruit and yoghurt
L- vege pasta with cheese.
D- turkey burgers and chips with salad and garlic mushrooms

had a freddo as a snack, so only had 5 syns and no hex b yet.
For supper I'll either have choc crunch cereal with milky bar ice cream (5 syns)
or a ww baguette with some pâté.....

Bev I do my fruit on my own, don't enjoy bought ones as much. I try to cut up my fruit when I buy it, then I leave it in the fridge in tubs. Then I just pour a bit of each into my bowl.

Oh dear I hate days like that, when it feels like everything that could go wrong, does. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better one for you.

I might start making my own fruit salad then. What kind of things do you use? I know that you need to avoid apples and things as they start to brown when they're cut x

Hello all,
yesterday I was a bit miserable too!! I'm desperate for my b12 jabs but can't seem to find a doctors that will take md that does extended hours.
Went to the gym first thing, but Chris called me just after I got there to say I workman was on his way to us in the next 3 hours, so I did 30 mins on the x trainer, and went for a shower. Had to shower at the gym because our shower is broken, and the thought of a hot bath after a workout, no thanks. Luckily that should be getting fixed this afternoon. Whoop! So not as long as I wanted in the gym, and had an awful shower, was an automatic one so turned off and I had to jump about to get it to turn on again.

Chris finally put up our bedroom tv and my make up shelf yesterday so the bedroom is looking for a luck of paint and were good. Not a lot planned for the weekend. Really want some crocs for starting work next week but can't seem to find anyway. I'm going to be getting the bus to work mostly as it will be much cheaper than parking so need to go and see about a monthly bus pass. Hopefully my mum and dad are coming up Sunday to my aunts, and were going over for either a roast dinner or a BBQ, but I know I'll be ok with the food, because she's on sw too, and I know she'll cook up some good options :)
really missing seeing my mum and dad so looking forward to them coming.
We also got approval from the RAF yesterday for my brother to come live with us, and he said the weekend if the 12th July is when he'd like to move up. Nobody apart from my aunt and uncle who live 2 miles away, and my nan who I invited for tea when she was at my uncles, had been to see the house. I know everyone gets busy with there own lives but it's nearly a month and half now, and really thought my family would have made a bit more effort. Oh well.
Whsts everyone else got going on this weekend?

Oh and on the mylo front, we bought a removable blackout blind for the porch. We tested if he'd attack something by sticking bin bags over the window for a few weeks, he didn't touch it. Put the £28 blackout thing up and it was destroyed when I came down yesterday morning.... Grrrrr. Stupid dog!
Dont know what's up with him right now, he just keeps being so naughty again. We're thinking of moving him to the bottom of the stairs and putting shoes and coats etc in the porch instead. Solves the covering the window issue, but Chris is worried hell chew at a door or skirting or something.
