Damage limitation today as last night we had take away. I had noodles and beansprouts and asked for no/very little oil and a couple of spoons of fried rice. Allowing 20 syns for it all though to be one the safe side. May have half a protein bar for supper (6 syns) to finish off the week.

Hope I get a loss tomorrow but not sure I will, feeling very big atm :(

You've had a great week. Really hope it shows on the scales for you tomorrow!

Yep what Kirsty said, don't give up!! I had an unexpected gain before and it had me off track for weeks!
You had a great week last week so even though it (very disappointingly) didn't show today, keep it up and it will next week.

I'm trying to think off all the things I've heard in group when people have gained.
- water retention?
- star week?
- drinking enough through the week?
- eating enough through the week?
- could try more speed/ superspeed/superfree foods? (although you do eat healthily as it is.)
- could it be last weekend catching up? sometimes our weight loss is a week behind so keep it up and this week will show next week. (I don't really think it is this though as apparently it takes 3,500 excess calories to gain a pound, if this is true then there is no way you should have a 3 lb gain!!)

My C says plenty of times that women should average our weight loss out over 4 weeks due to the way our bodies work.

Thank you both for your replies.

I'm so gutted as I have stuck to it 100%. I'd feel better if I had ever had any success but I haven't :( just doesn't seem to work for me despite keep trying.

I'm not sure if its the free reign of food. I definitely eat enough but have a massive appetite and wonder if I eat too much. Majority of the food is superfree but maybe still too much. Example of this would be last night I had 3 lm sausages, some carrot and suede mash, half a pot of low fat cottage cheese, mushrooms and spinich.

This morning I'm thinking I'll need to just learn to cope with feeling hungry and cut back and count calories so that I can be sure I'm limiting them :(

Its not star week either so no idea why ive gained :(

Thanks Kirsty. Haha your pics do reassure me ;) however you have done really well with sw and lost so much. I'm half a stone heavier now than at the beginning of the year :( before that I didnt do sw or any specific diet and hadnt done for a while. A couple of years ago I tried sw but didnt lose so gave up. Decided at the beginning of the year that this was going to be the year I finally get to the weight I wanted to be and feel happy in my body but its October tomorrow and I'm heavier than ive ever been.

Sorry to sound miserable, just feel soooo big and feel like I need to take control now. The only way I know how is to cut my food as that seems to be the only thing that works for me (going off past experience)

You are all doing so well and I dont mean to put a downer on the plan x

Awww hun i really feel for you :( perhaps if calorie counting or that helps try that?

Have you had your thyroid etc tested? As when i first did SW i was untreated for an underactive thyroid and i didn't lose weight i stayed around same gaining and losing the same weight!! Im not on thyroxine and trying again this time it seems to be working better for me!

I've always been told you shouldn't be hungry but you should stop eating when you are full. I would have big plates of food too, and I do think I overeat. It's very easy to do on SW when there's so much free food.

Sw didn't work very well for my sister. She did lose weight but it was only small amounts each week despite sticking to plan 100%. My other sis who was much more 'flexible' with it lost more. So she switched to ww and lost more in 6 weeks than she had in months on sw. She jusy found it suited her better.

Now im not saying switch to ww but just that we are all different and some diet plans work better for others. If you know that cutting your food is going to work better and would be happier then maybe try that and see. I just dont want to be encouraging you to eat less!! All your food seems to be healthy already!

Thank you both so much for your support :)

I'm going to carry on with healthy eating but reduce my portions and count calories for a bit to make me aware of the amount I'm eating.

Also going to weigh myself daily for a week to see how my weight fluctuates each day x
