Gobolino's Food Diary - converted to ww now!

Weigh in day today!

Tuesday 15th Feb
B- 42g All bran (HB), raspberries, 350ml skimmed milk (HA)
D- mashed vegetables (2syns for cheese on top), new potatoes and gravy (1syn)
T- cheese (HA) and coleslaw (2syns) sandwich (HB+2syns)
snack- 3 pieces of licorice (3syns), 2 nectarines, 2 apples, banana

Thanks for the good luck! I stayed the same :( I've had the best week in terms of syns, so I dont really understand it. Perhaps its more to do with the weight of what I've eaten today ? Fingers crossed it will catch up with me next week :)

Actually thinking about it I'm pretty gutted, as I've really put the effort in this week - grrrrrrr. More walking, made yummy things for hubby and didnt eat any (apple crumble), had half a chocolate bunny last night even though a whole one would have been within my syns. Generally kept chosing the low syn option all week. Nevermind it is not for me to question the plan, simply for me to keep doing it and look forward to the results :)

How frustrating.

I always say to my members this is your body sending out a test to see if you are serious about this weight loss mularkey. It is so easy in this situation to just throw in the towel and give in. But if you stick with it you will break through this and lose weight. The scales are sometimes a terrible indicator of how we are doing as we are such a high percentage of water in our bodies and water levels fluctuate.

Feel free to remind me of this when i sts after a perfect week.

I know it sucks but chin up and carry on doing what you are doing!

Teresa

Thank you - that made me laugh! Ok, I can deal with it being a test. It is frustrating when you think back over the week and all the times when you ate less syns, did more exercise, added more veggies, changed healthy extras.... etc.

Anyway, how are you doing ? Hope you are feeling better and I hope your classes go well for you this week.

You're doing really well to get some totally on plan days right now, thats a good feeling to class knowing that! Being a patient patient with your back is not easy, so well done and stick with it.

Please don't let the STS send you off track - you are doing so well and it will definitely catch up with you. Might be one of those weeks where you feel inch loss even though the scales don't budge :)

Thank you PrawnChopSuey :) I'm not letting it send me off track (I did have a few treats last night, ice cream and 3 hifi bars but these would have been from the syns I had remaining from the week more or less). I emailed my consultant today and she's set me a super speed challenge to get me focussed this week. I'm looking forward to a loss next week - he he !

Had words with hubby about starting a family today, we're now not trying to start a family. I've comforted myself with eating rubbish, its not helped though, I feel like making a hot chocolate and possibly a baileys too :(

Here's to a better day tomorrow.

I am sorry Gobolino I know first hand how difficult conversations like that can be. I had one with my hubby that left me distraught recently and really found it difficult not to stuff my sorrows down with food. I wish i knew another way of coping :-(

Have your chocolate and baileys and then draw your line.

How about doing a mini challenge with me for the next 3 days to only use free foods for comfort foods?? Are you up for it. I have the biggest pile of sweet potato and regular SW chips in the oven as i type. Ready to be dipped in chick pea dahl.

Yum

Mmmmm it is hard. I've had a hot chocolate and a grapefruit (just to complete my super speed challenge for today), funnily enough I'm doing ok without the Baileys.

Ok, I'm up for a free food comfort food challenge :) We can do it!

We have visitors this weekend, only staying sat pm and then for brunch on sunday, so that should be doable. I'm thinking of making everyone join me for oven baked jacket potato's tomorrow night. We're going to the races tomorrow night so I'm going to take alpen lights for snacking just in case.

Will check in with you tomorrow at some point. Have a good weekend.

I've calmed down now :)

Saturday 19th:
B- eggs on 62g toast (HB+1/2syn)
D- quorn pepper steak, broccoli, peas, new potatoes. Raspberries and strawberries, latte (HA)
T- Jacket potato with a baked bean hot pot (onion, carrot, garlic, butter beans, baked beans, marmite and spices) salad
snack- banana, alpen lights (HB), nectarines
snack- highlights (3 syns) made with milk (HA), 2 alpen lights (6syns)

body jam (60mins) :)

I'm having alot of jacket potatoes lately, probably due to lack of proper planning and that they are so convenient!

Sunday:
We're having brunch with visitors but only after we've gone to a nearby farmers market, so that means I really need to have something before we go so I'm not ravenous by the time we get back.
B1- yellow plums, grapefruit and strawberries (super duper speedy!)
B2- beans on toast (HB+ syns)
D- might make soup later in the afternoon
T- really fancy a roast, even though I dont eat the meat, I love it! Roast parsnip, potato, bisto etc

My comfort foods that really comfort:
skimmed milk latte
sw chips (with egg and beans or with beans and cheese)
anything with new potatoes and bisto gravy!
roasted veg (with bisto gravy too)
broccoli pasta n sauce
beans on toast
jacket potatoes
2 lots of HA cheese (loving red leicester at the moment) with small aldi digestives (3syns each) or with apple crackers (apple cut into rings like crackers!)
nigellas japanese prawns with rice

I think thats about it for now. I love my food and its great to find things that comfort without being off plan :)

Good to have in an emergency I guess, if you have a chance to think logically ;) Will check out your list to for some ideas!

Today has gone well, will update my diary now but not at all bad on the syn front..... 1/2syn bread, 3 syns large highlights hot choc, 2 alpen lights (6syns).

Sunday so far:
B- strawberries, banana, beans, egg, potatoes, milk in tea (HA) (had this as a brunch, so rest of the days meals are out of sync a little), orange juice (125ml 2syns ouch)
D- alpen bar+ small slice of bread 30g (HB), nectarines, plum, 3 pieces of licorice (3syns) and a caramac ice cream bar (6syns) (pretty rubbish and mostly eaten as snacks throughout the afternoon)
T- will probably use up some of the bean dish that I made yesterday (butter beans and baked beans) with something (I still fancy some roasted parsnips!)......... I had roasted parsnips, sweede, carrot and BNS with some of my spicy beans from yesterday. Yummy!
snacks- HA and HB still to have..... latte and something else!
