Gobolino's Food Diary - converted to ww now!

Well I'm still full of a cold and unable to do any visiting :( Hubby has gone to see people and I'm left to chill out and keep my sniffles to myself! I'm going to chill with some cookery books. Have taken the dog for a nice walk, so I'm not too bad by any means, just sneezy!

Have booked a holiday from weigh in this week anyway as I thought we'd be visiting, but my weigh in on my scales this morning show a loss (possibly 2lb) since last week tues am, so I'm pleased with that :)

Tuesday

Breakfast: egg, beans, small wholemeal toast (HB)

Snacks: clementines, banana, 1 roses chocolate fudge (2syns), few pieces of pineapple

Dinner: broccoli, pasta, onion, garlic, chilli jam (1syn) with 42g cathedral city lighter (HA)

Tea: Roasted carrots and potato wedges. Clementines. 1 chocolate (2syns). Yoghurt with hot chocolate powder (1syn)
late tea: slices of cucumber and tomato with 42g cathedral city lighter (HB) and chilli jam (1syn)

Snacks: clementines, milk in tea (HA), 18g cathedral city lighter cheese (2.5syns)

45mins walk with my dog

Syns: 9.5
HA milk
HA cheese
HB toast
HB cheese

Not very exciting with the healthy extras but its what I fancy, so that cant be a bad thing!

I'm so pleased that I've been able to stay in control lately but I know all too well that this feeling can come and bite me in the bum when the festive season is all finished. Most of all I've glad that I've managed to not even taste the lindt lindors that our neighbours bought for us..... even when I've been in the house on my own :) These are 4 syns each and at the moment I'm able to reason with myself that there is so much more different food I could have for 4 syns, that would last longer than 30seconds in my mouth.

Hi Teresa, thanks for letting me know, I didnt realise I could override the holiday. Although for me it wouldnt be a weigh and go as I usually do the weighing in. Plus since hubby has taken the car I wouldnt be walking there in the dark anyway. I'm hoping I can still pick up the new set of books next week :)

How are you doing ?

I understand that its has been hard. I guess you have to take things at your own pace, one day at a time. Its great to see you posting and sounding positive about the new year. Wishing you all the best.

Heavens above Gobolino - you're doing brilliantly!!! Wow, I'm so impressed with your restraint and positivity. Good for you girl, I hope you're rewarded with a fab loss after all this. Are you feeling any better now? xx

Hi Beegee, thanks I am feeling better now. I wasnt feeling like it was a normal cold to be honest, just very sneezy meaning I couldnt visit those that I wanted to. I'll be visiting grandparents in Jan now and taking them a late hamper!

Here's todays food:

Breakfast
porridge (HA HB), apple

Dinner
veg curry (1syn for paste) and rice. 1.5 scan bran chocolate muffins (3syns), 2 clementines

Tea
seeded tortilla wraps (HB & 11syns *cheat*) with peppers, spring onions, baked beans, wrapped up with some light mozzarella (HA) on top (a strange combination but using up bits and bobs from last nights late night shop!). Mixed leafy salad, tom, cucumber.

snacks
few cups of tea (1/3 HA), frittata, 4 squares of dark choc (4syns)

total syns 19 (eeeek)

Wow -the wraps are 8.5syns each. I'm going to have two (17syns) and take off 6 syns for my healthy extra B choice, I know this is a cheat. They do have a fair amount of fibre and linseeds and are healthy living ones, but obviously are not healthy enough to have as a B choice really! I'll forgo my cups of tea, call the mozzarella my HA and call the wraps HB+11syns - wow hefty synnage :)

Well I've had a whole day off plan today :) Hubby had a corporate trip to a footy match (a present for him won by his Dad), all paid, food and drink too, we have had a very special day....

Breakfast
frittata, porridge and milk (HA HB)

Dinner (just a few syns :p)
Soup
Risotto
Chocolate tart
Cheese and biscuits
Wine !

Tea
wholemeal toast (HB +2syns), clover lighter (2syns), couple of cups of tea

On the positive side, we have done a hell of alot of walking around London, back and forth trains and tubes :D

On plan tomorrow, watch this space...........

What a wonderful day you've had! I've had several corporate days at the footie in my time and they've always been very indulgent ...
I reckon you deserved a day off plan the way you've been going - glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks Beegee, I definitely enjoyed myself!

Here's today so far:

Breakfast (late)
sweede and parsnip mash (2syns), beans, egg

At cinema (over lunch time!)

pud
rice pudding (HA HA & 3syns)

Lack of fruit at the moment but we're trying to live off lots of yellow sticker things right now and that appears to be mostly veggies !

Not sure if I should swipe my signature and have it as a clean slate for 2012 losses !!??!!

I think I will..... perhaps have a total loss in smileys, result for 2011 and running total for 2012.

Mini victory: really wanted a galaxy hot chocolate this evening (5syns). As I made hubby a coffee, I took out the pot of hot chocolate from the cupboard, took the lid off and then............ replaced the lid and made myself a cuppa tea instead :D Result.

Another mini-victory for today: Had eaten lunch and really felt like more food. Felt like a flapjack from the vending machine, took money out of purse ready to purchase........ put money away (remembered we're having a yellow sticker challenge month meaning all food bought will be yellow sticker items, clearly vending machine items dont fit this category!) and didnt buy anything. Not sure if this challenge will continue or if we're just setting ourselves a spending target each week, we'll see.

Its a win win win situation
* save money
* stuck to plan
* stuck to yellow sticker challenge

Had a cuppa tea but know I will be feeling a bit hungrier later. Nevermind, will have something when I get home.

Here's todays menu:

Tuesday 3rd Jan

Breakfast
2 weetabix, 375ml milk (HB HA), 77g dried apricots (just over HB)

Dinner
Veg and rice soup. Feta (50g HA), tom, cucumber.

Snacks
Banana, apple, 4 clementines

Tea
Not sure yet

Weigh in tonight ;)

Thanks!

More of these mini-victories are needed to help me on my way to target. Its all the little efforts that add up, isnt it!
