Gobolino's Food Diary - converted to ww now!

Ha ha, I was just going to say not to be concerned about my food not looking very much as I had 2 of everything.... 2 pears, 2 bananas, 2 apples, 2 pepper. BUT, I've just noticed I completely didnt write down my lunch either :D:D:D
Lunch was left over roast veggies, red cabbage and mashed potato!

Ok, here's the deal on grape-nuts. Firstly, they are not nuts and not grapes! They are described as crunchy wheat and malted barley cereal. I'd go with that description, they do taste pretty malty and they are a bit grainy/crunchy. The new weight for a HB is 35g, which is good but if you ate it as a cereal with milk in the standard way, I dont think it'd be too satisfying. But, I put it with yog and fruit and thats a whole different story, the crunch goes slightly and blends into the yoghurt with its malty taste. Not sure if this is promoting grapenuts or making you think eurgh! Anyway, might be worth a try to add to your breakfast repetoire :)

Porridge and milk (HB HA) or grapenuts/yog/pear combo

Dinner
Butterhead salad leaves, tom, cu, celery, feta (50g HB)

Tea
Not sure yet!

Snacks
Kiwis, banana, apples, milk in tea (HA)

Hubby did ask if I was having SW wedges again tonight, so I've realised I've had alot of SW wedges recently.... wedges and salad is my favourite and its so easy. Plus I did have alot of feta salads last week, just making the most of the new weights for feta (50g :))
 
Ta for the grape nuts info - that sounds pretty good to me actually. I've got an Asda order coming tomorrow so will try and add them on. Thanks breakfast guru!
 
Breakfast guru :) I am a total breakfast addict, I have to have breakfast that goes without saying for me, but also the bigger the breakfast the better!! Today I split my HB and had a small slice of toast with beans before leaving the house then a second breakfast at work of grapenuts/pears/yog.

Anyway, big news, I lost 1 pound :) Bad news - I celebrated with chocolate log -oooops. Tomorrow is a clean slate and a brand new week!
 
Oh have you started planting ? I was only thinking about this the other day..... we always seem to get going a bit late in the garden, but this year I'd like to start earlier with getting some seeds started indoors. I do have windowsills and a garden. We have some little fruit bushes that did really well: strawbs, redcurrants, blackcurrants and raspberries :)

Great stuff! I am still scraping my car in the mornings so planting season is months away yet! :(

Hi both, thanks for checking up on me :) I've been ill :( I picked up a vomiting bug on the weekend, vomiting all night sat/all day sun, no eating for 22 hours :eek: Tried to go to work yesterday and nearly passed out (probably as I still wasnt eating much), so today was my first day back at work.

Anyway, prior to the sickness my sw week was going well, then we went to family on the weekend (yes I was ill at the in-laws and in transit :( )..... its been very hard with my appetite coming back to try and eat the right thing as all I wanted was for food to stay down (so all my chosing of food was based on that!).

Weigh in news- I had a holiday from weigh in last night (I wouldnt have gone anyway), unofficial weigh in shows a 2lbish loss. Next weigh in on tuesday so hoping to bring that to a 4lb loss :)
 
Last night could be called a binge L It was over 50syns, eaten uncontrollably and made me feel sick. This morning I feel sick from the car journey (much the same as yesterday) and pretty wobbly again. So my appetite returned through the evening but its gone again this morning. Need to get through these feelings and start feeling normal again (and more confident in my ability to follow SW!)….. trying to eat a banana now, fingers crossed the day will turn out ok!
 
Well, I'm reporting a rubbish day again. I took lovely on plan food to work and couldnt stomach it...... such a shame to transport soup in a flask to work back home again :( Didnt manage breakfast until 10ish (unheard of for me! I normally eat as soon as I'm awake). I had a sandwich at lunch time and some belvita biscuits. More bread and digestives when home. I have fish and oven chips for tea. Fingers crossed this bug will just shove off sooner rather than later before I get a real taste for all this unhealthy stodge. Meanwhile I need to be eating something to get better.

Normal service to be resumed soon.....
 
Oh poor poorly Gobolino! Don't worry about food at the mo just eat what your body is telling you it needs to get better. If that's a load of stodgy crap then so be it, worry about it in a couple of days time. Hope you're back to normal soon x
 
Thanks Beegee, I've been trying to think ahead for tomorrow and work out what I *might* feel like eating tomorrow that could be on plan...... I'm thinking of taking cold toast (HB) for a late breakfast. Possibly plain pasta for dinner and then I can sort tea when I'm home. We'll see. Like you say I can worry about it properly when I feel ok, its just I was very hopefull for this week ;)
 
Well its now 5 days following sickness and I still dont feel right. BUT, I'm determined to try to eat on plan today for my own sanity!

2 pieces of toast (HB) with cant believe its not butter lighter (1syn)

Dinner
Pasta, peas and sweetcorn, 1 teaspoon olive oil (2syns)
75g dried apricots (HB)

Tea
Mashed potato with cheese (HA HA), cant think what I fancy with it. Edit- I had carrots, peas and sweetcorn with it.

snack
50g dates -mmm yum yum (7 syns)

Hopefully the weekend will sort me out and get me eating properly again, fingers crossed!

Saturday (still not right, bit wobbly, but feel ok about being on plan even if it is very stodgy and doesnt have much fruit and veg :()..... anyway here's todays menu:

cheesy mash (syn-free as this was all accounted for in yesterdays tea!)

Jacket potato, 35g light philli (1/2HA), 42g light cheddar (HA) and sweetcorn

Aldi 70 calorie bar (1/2HB), 1 jumbo cadburys chocolate animal (2syns)

Tea
pasta with sweetcorn, peas and carrots and 40g philli light (1/2 HA), chilli jam (1syn)

snack
a banana, h/m christmas coffee (4syns) with 200ml milk (3syns).... wanted to celebrate being able to drink milk again, milk hooray! But now have a tummy ache.... booo!

Pasta, pesto 35g (5syns), peas and sweetcorn. Cheese cake made with light philli (HA) and aldi 70 calorie bars (HB), tbsp lemon curd (2.5syns) and quick jel (1syn)

Tea
Roasted veg (potato, parsnip, carrot, sweede), green beans and stir fried red cabbage. Bisto (2syns)

Snacks
another small banana, 42g light cheese (HA)

Total syns=10.5

At last I'm starting to feel better today :) I have my HB still to use this evening - yum yum!

I think it'll be prunes and dried apricots :D - edit yes indeedy it was, so thats my second HB sorted.

I'm pleased to be thinking about planning some food for tomorrow:

Hi Beegee Oh yes, off to WI tomorrow night. Fingers are crossed. Its strange going once a fortnight, but for the time being thats how it'll be until I use all my holidays (or get to target first ??!!??) :)
