Here's todays menu - saturday green day

Breakfast
Porridge made with whole milk :) (HB) (HA)

Snacks
Banana, cherries

Dinner
Jacket potato, 35g philli light (1/2 HA), beans, mixed leaves

Tea
North african chickpea curry (HB for oil and apricots) with rice. 2.5 poppadoms (5syns)

Pud
Peach and pineapple flan (roughly 5syns)

Evening snack
Possibly a hot chocolate (5syns) or a cuppa tea (using my 1/2 HA left)........... I went for the cuppa tea and some grapes :)

10 Syns
40mins on Wii, short 20min walk

.............. didnt plan on having this, but really couldnt resist trying my h/m marmalade :) I currently have a cake in the oven which will be 15syns a slice so now will have to limit myself to 1/2 a slice at 7.5syns!!!

Risotto (probably) ....EDIT dont think I can be bothered to cook this, I'll probably have some fruit and yog instead :)

Oh dear cake incident! Nevermind.

I'm thinking of calling target tonight :) I've been within 3lb of the weight I currently am for about 6months. So either calling target will take the pressure off and I'll lose the last 7lb (my real target) or I'll stick where I am, where I am pretty happy and not have to pay anymore!
 
I gained 2lb so I didnt call my target :(

Grrrr this weight loss is such a delicate balance, its flipping annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
My consultant has suggested that I do success express this week, so that's what I'll be doing this week.

Gutted that a few slices of cake can result in a 2lb gain (I never usually have cakes I just steer well clear), think I would have been better off with a chocolate bar, at least that would have been a measured amount of naughtiness!
 
Ooh hello, I just saw your other thread and thought I'd better check out your diary. Interesting question re target and if it weren't for that annoying gain it probably would have been a good idea! Where did that gain come from anyway, I thought you'd had a pretty good week - hopefully it will right itself next week and it's just a blip. Then you can call the 't' word and start saving money!

You are brave making marmalade and cakes at home. There's just no way I could make lovely treats like that and exercise any level of control. Good job I'm a fairly hopeless cook without any inclination to get baking!
 
ps - just seen your other post. A couple of bits of cake can't make that much difference surely. It's just a shame you had them yesterday rather than a couple of days ago! Hang in there you x
 
I'm no good at doing cakes and restraining either..... I had good intentions, but I've realised my mistake now.

All it takes is a disruption in the syns, the water drinking or the superfree eating or the exercise levels and I'm set for a gain! I'm starting to feel that its never going to be normal for me to relax into doing less water, exercise, superfree or more syns and get away with it.

I'm doing ok so far today but feel so much like going off the rails for a day or so. I'm not feeling good with routine at the moment. I think things need a re-think and I need to feel better in my head too. I'm in a grump for no apparent reason!

Small portion of pasta (!!!), 50g feta (HB), cucumber, toms, pepper

Tea
Again a small portion of pasta, broccoli (loads), cheese sauce (5.5syns HA HB) (h/m with 16g each of flour and cant believe its not butter light, 250ml semi skimmed milk and 28g cheese), served with salad

Total 6.5syns
Wii 35mins
Walk 10mins
 
Glad to hear you're feeling a bit brighter. Sometimes you just need a good day to get you back on track. I hope that's the case with you!

Mm, small portions of pasta eh? What's that then?! Mine are always enormous, I don't think I know how to cook a small portion. It would look so pathetic sitting there - just a few little twirls or shells.

Btw, I feel your pain about not getting away with anything if you're not exercising or drinking madly. Although I do neither of those things I know what I can get away with and what I can't and it's very frustrating when you have so little leeway for occasional naughtiness.

Hope tomorrow is as successful as today x

Less pasta is because I'm trying to ease myself into success express, meaning more superfree, less free. To be honest last week was mostly large jacket potatoes and beans (all free and great) but not so much superfree. We'll see how it goes!
 
Well I found out today that the hot chocolate I thought was 5 syns is actually 10 syns - wow! I had about 6 of those last week..... could be held responsible for my gain last week (finally a little more logic to the gain, I think).

Been keeping a diary actually in a diary at the mo, will update when I get a bit of time :)
 
Yes it was nice, especially made with milk but all those extra syns I wasnt aware of :( At least it was only a wasted week, what if I'd gone for a month making the same mistake and having an extra 30syns each week :eek::eek::eek:

Anyway, here's the diary update:

Weds - Total 27syns / Wii 30mins
B-dried apricots HB, yog 1.5syns, pear, banana, 74g wholemeal bread HB+1.5syns

D-cottage cheese, salad

sn-milk in tea HA, pear, apple

T-veg chilli, salad,, veg enchilada 14syns

sn-hot chocolate 10syns


Thurs - Total 6syns
B-oats HB, yog 1syn, milk HA, apple

D-rice, 2 eggs, cucumber, peppers

T-jacket potato, cheese HA, cottage cheese, big salad

sn- hot chocolate half size! 5syns, milk HA, pear, 3 apples

Friday - Total 8 syns / Wii 40mins
B- oats, milk, dried apricots, yog, raspberries, apple (HB HA HB 1 syn)

D- rice, pickled onions, cucumber, tomato

sn- 2 apples, banana, 2 weetabix (6syns)

T-Jacket potato, veggie chilli, cheese HA

pud- probably raspberries and l/f greek yog (1syn)

Good start to the day!

B- toast (HB+1.5syns), eggs, beans, tomato. raspberries and yog (1syn)

D- Jacket, cottage cheese, cheese (HA) and salad, pickle (1syn)

T- Broccoli stalk soup with philli light (0.8 HA), co-op wholemeal pitta (HB)

snacks- 200ml skimmed milk (3syns+ remaining HAallowance) with vanilla sugar 1/2tsp (0.5syn), h/m cappucino (5syns)

Will be updating later, but fingers crossed its going to be a goooooood one :)

So, 12 syns for today + short walk + 40mins wii - I'm happy with that!

B- 2 pieces of toast (HB hooray for small toast, no extra syns for my toast), 2 tbsp marmalade (3syns), piece of fruit loaf (4syns) -synful breakfast 7syns total.

D- Jacket potato, cheese (HA), beans, big salad. Marmalade cake (14 syns :eek:.....h/m and definitely worth a try, should still be within syns for the week) -synful dinner 14syns total.

T- Roast carrots, sweet potato and potato wedges with a pitta (HB)

sn- h/m cappucino (5syns)

total syns 26

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I dont believe it! I was going to call target tonight but I didnt lose anything !!!! I'm determined not to call target on a week when I've gained or stayed the same, it just doesnt seem right!

Oh well it'll be next week !
