going back to class :)

2lb up from last friday notsure what to do .I will have to either stick to strikt alternate days or re think ,any ideas .Two DD just not working think I may need to count on an UD x
 
ADF brings about all kinds of scale bounces...particularly if you have switched from another diet. Looking at weight loss on a day to day basis, or even on a weekly basis when using Intermittent Fasting is a recipe for disappointment. You *must* look at long term trends and not be put off by short term ups - which will happen when IF.

Suggestions: put the scales away for one month. Most cannot do that, so alternatively, weigh every day and each week take an average - the average will go down - believe me! Or, you could use an app like True Weight, where you can record your weight at whatever intervals you choose and it will average it out for you.

I'm counting on Ups and Down's - I know some don't, but I still believe in the power of the calorie deficit theory and so far it is holding water.

Personally I'd say count your ups, log your weight every day but only count the weekly loss after a DD for weigh in.(I couldn't stop "keeping an eye on things" for a month :) - especially as goal is a month away - I have to keep myself on track)

What did your week look like, i.e what pattern were your UP s and DD,s , what sort of cals are we talking about on UP s and DD s? Maybe I can give you some advice if I know what your week has been like x
 
Hello all and thank you for all the advice I started on Sunday with a DD Monday was UD 1855 cals but wasn’t too bad Tuesday was then a DD bu turned into a high DD 655 cals weddidnt log but was an Ud but very up Thursday was a dd but still nearing 600 cals

How have you gone today? Don't worry about your high DD the other day, 655 is still well low compared to a 'normal' day's eating

I'm not being funny but you have to think what types of food you have eaten before WI....for instance if you weighed in less than 24hrs after eating those noodles you could easily be weighing those at at least 2lbs!!!....which being fibre with a soluble fibre content will have absorbed a large amount of water & be in transit in the gut.....sadly our bodies do not display scale weight to order!! Just stick to the plan for a few weeks and see what happens:)

Hi sorry havent replied earlier but I can't see anything 'wrong' with your days but as others have said the scales do tend to jump around a lot and its the trend you are after, I know its scary when you see gains on the scales but they are not real as in fat terms they are just food weight like explained above, Juddd can test your patience sometimes but just carry on and you will be rewarded, I started Juddd at 13 5 and now weigh 11 9 so despite my scales bouncing all over the place and if you don't believe me check out my diary all my daily weights are there, the trend is down and thats what matters, well done for deciding to stick with it x
 
aw thank you .I have weighed in this morning still 148 lb so will keep a record this week and weigh daily,also going to track all my food and see how many cals I am actually eating .I received my book yesterday so I will have a good read .I also think on DD will try stick to soups and drinks apart from a Sunday where i have dinner with the family or may just have a middle day on a sunday .I am starting fresh today and will have official WI next week Friday .My plan for this week is

thats only giving me 2 DD though hmmmmm

Yesterday was a mega UD had total off 2426 cals didnt really eat till stuffed just had lasagna few biscuits chips made in actifry 4 choc . Home made soup . Few glasses Lager soon adds up .

Nearly back to where i started few weeks ago , really need to make this work DD today just having a coffee deciding what to eat today will cook roast for everyone but think ill make a soup x

Aww hun, not easy when the scales aren't reflecting what effort you put in - keep posting your menus and being accountable with how many calories you're eating.

Are you drinking enough water? Without it we can't metabolise fat as well xx
 
yes drinking lots off water and herbal tea .I have planned tomorrows meal have no idea how many cals will be in my lunch but will try be careful
