This Pinterest site is taking up some time - just looked at the clock and been on there 2 hours - good job I am up on my own.:)

Been on a trip to the seaweed "factory" - no Environmental Health here :)

We went for a seaweed bath last month and it was lush. Not as nice sounding as your spa trip though. There were barnacles on them and eveything, a bit strange at first but ended up loving it.

Btw I got into my coat! Very pleased, now I don't need to buy a new one!

Hello, hope you don't mind me subscribing!
I do mostly green days and am looking for new meal ideas since I keep ending up eating the same things.

Hi alley88 - the more the merrier - I will read your diary when I can - I am going away for a couple of days but will be back on Monday.

Glad you enjoyed it - I could have had one for nothing up there today as they were laying that out on the beach.:)
How nice to get back into something - I have a dress (and those shorts) I am working to get in to as it was new in the Summer and I only wore it once and that was for what became my favourite photo.

Happy Easter Systema - have a lovely time wherever in the world you are! x

Thank you - we are back in our rented apartment after a couple of long train journeys.

Yes it will be just like being at home - doing his cooking and washing for 10 days.:) It was nice to see him after 5 months and catch up with what he has been doing although we will be going home a couple of weeks after he has gone. Got the photographs we wanted so now we know what the house looks like.

FRIDAY 29TH MARCH.

Usual breakfast at some daft time - felt more like supper.

On train to Saigon - 2 boiled eggs -50gms bread, fruit, yoghurt. Dinner in restaurant - noodles with veg and tofu. Think tofu had been fried had not greasy so think it was an ok day.
Only about 4 thousand steps today so not much of a calorie gain.

SATURDAY
Breakfast - 2 boiled egg, white baguette and 3 small bananas. Lunch - fruit, brown roll, bite of OH pizza and a lick of his ice-cream and a small corner of banana cake.:) Same dinner, same restaurant.

SUNDAY
2 boiled eggs, white baguette and 3 small bananas - Lunch on train taken from restaurant - Dinner - 2 spring rolls taken with us and fruit. Plus a couple of chocolate drinks each day.

So all in all not too bad - no major disasters. Resisted the wine shop and went into the cake shop to get son some sesame bread and was surrounded by all kinds of cakes and biscuits but did not give in. OH told me to shut my eyes whilst they bought banana cake and others.

Meal I took on train - pepper tofu. I do like those strings of peppers, very tasty.

All the food on the train is meat, meat and more meat but they do have a boiling water dispenser where you can make coffee and hot chocolate drinks etc. Lots of passengers had Pot Noodles - very civilised and it is free !!!

food looks lovely (as usual)
obviously having a good time - even though its a long time on the train

hope the visit went well
looking forward to hearing more :)

Pepper tofu looks lovely! Did you cook that yourself or buy it? x

It was from a restaurant near to where we stay - he just put a little bit of oil in a wok then threw in some mushrooms and tofu along with a couple of pepper stalks and stirred it up then put it in the container with the rice. It is brown to start with but the only difference is the texture, there is no smoke flavour or anything in it. That meal ws about £1.50

Thank you. We have brought him up here with us and he is staying for 10 days then we are going back to Saigon for 3 days with him when he goes back to UK as I have got an hospital appointment down there. This is where I broke my wrist last year and after the pain I have been in since they messed about with it in UK I want to go and see the Doctor I had here who made a good job of it. It had to be finished off in UK as our visa ran out before they could do it here.

Got his first lot of washing in the machine already and cooked 2 meals today so just like being at home.:)

This is what Tofu looks like when you buy it from the market and not pre-packed in water from a Supermarket. It is alot drier and tastes much nicer, non-greasy so don't think it has been fried. This is the kind that was used in the picture.
