Hann's IF Diary - 7 months and counting :)

Started my down day at 4pm! First whole down day like this so we'll see how it goes. Got a cup of tea at my desk, just short of an hour left of work to do :)


so thats 10/500 calories so far.


Got a weightwatchers meal waiting for me, I might have it for dinner, or see if I can stave off the hunger long enough and have it for lunch tomorrow. Quite enjoying the change so far, will see how it goes :)

I've thought of doing it this way but make my head hurt lol. Talked about it a few times x
 
Finding the half n half arrangement a lot better than expected! Dinner isn't as difficult because I had been fuelled from lunch so to speak. I'm not at all hungry now, so just got to get the rest of the day over. I'm finished work at 1 today, but I've got my car to sort out (insurance mot prep etc) so i should be kept busy. Picking my sister up at 5 then we're going for a maccie d's nom nom nom :)
 
Hi Hann I didn't know you were doing the 6pm till 6pm approach, how are you finding it?
 
the pattern has definitely changed, weigh ins seem to be less of a spike. The DDU seems to give better losses on the daily weigh, I guess because theres less food in my body and I've only got a 5 hr (ish) opportunity to eat. UUD I'm eating for most of the day and it seems to be a gain, but a smaller gain than a whole up day. I only had a half down day on monday (so 2.5 x 24 hours) so I don't expect a loss this week, but next week will be interesting :)

I am also having long (but light) periods as im settling in with my hormone implant, so thats messing up the scales a bit.

Oh and I'm trying to fully fast on my downs, asides cups of tea. Doing that is a lot easier on a split because you know you're getting food on the DDU, and on the UUD you're well fuelled from breakfast/lunch. Its not a mental struggle as much.

On an unrelated note, i'm having some funky side effects with my anti depressants... feeling very impatient about nothing in particular and feeling like I can't stay still...
 
i will weigh on a friday morning after a thursday evening fast. I like a weekendish weigh in cause its something to look forward to :)

or maybe i should weigh in on a saturday after friday DDU...hmm i dont know, but it'll be one of those days

oh and fyi -
DDU: down down up - down breakfast and lunch, then up from 5pm
UUD: up up down - up breakfast lunch, down from 5pm

Hmm, that's a tough one really. Mentally I'd want to do it after a fast personally, but probably doesn't make an awful lot of difference in the grand scheme of things...all going to plan, the week should be doing it's trick either way by WI. :) Whatever works for you, of course, and I' know you'll do great whatever day you do it on. :)

I'm certain next week will go better for you, Han. I imagine it will take a little fine-tuning as you adjust, and this week is technically a bit shorter given you started this new pattern a few days into the week. Draw a line under it and stick with it, as I know you can do it.
 
Maybe u sud change ur weigh time too? Weight at the end of ur down 24hours before starting ur up? Cos at the mobile ur not weighing with an empty system x
