good morning

is it any wonder that the size of people in this country is increasing with food like that apart from the dessert I would not have thought it a meal that would incur so many syns - its a bargain price for a nice meal - my daughter often gets them for her and M - she will just have to learn to cook :)

hope you have a lovely day today with very little pain
have you looked into diet for arthritis - some foods are thought to be inflammatory and are best avoided
there are several links to the right of this article
Foods That Contribute To Arthritis | LIVESTRONG.COM

take what you want from them

what I can say is that flax seed and flax seed oil did help me as did several other things I either ate or avoided - some work for some people so as I say take what you want from the articles

Thanks for all your advice, I've had a quick look at the link and I'm actually quite lucky with that list as I only eat some dairy to get my HEA as I don't actually like milk at all so the only thing I eat really from that list is the red meat and that's not all the time.. Although we are having steak on Monday! Oh and I eat eggs if it's baked in something.

For flaxseed oil do you take supplements?

You're right about the rising obesity levels as that syn count is extortionate and the amount of people that do these deals at a weekend is amazing, it's always packed around those fridges, think Mark only done it as it was a nice bottle of wine! He actually said to me after, "I've not been very helpful with SW have I?! I wouldn't have minded if you'd had something else!", bless him x

So today we're off to celebrate my Dad's 65th birthday and retirement at a golf club in Surrey, apparently the food is gorgeous there and I'd always planned on having a day off counting today and enjoy a few wines and eat what I fancy, after last nights and the day befores syn count I've decided to drive and I'll still eat what I fancy but will consume less syns on drinks.

Have a good day everyone x

Have a great day! :)

Bless you, I didn't realise, where is yours or all over? X

Unfortunately for me, yes it is, classed as Generalized, as in affects more than one joint, i.e. shoulders, back, hips, knee, ankles, and hands.

Mine, is a factor of the acute vertigo that I suffer from, and hence, mobility has been restricted, and joints seize up etc., plus and injury to my lower back and knee.

I didn't spoil him as they ended up buying the meal which I felt guilty about but no offer from my sister & partner or Grandad.. That's another story!

Oh no I didn't know vertigo could cause all that, hope you're okay x

I'm not even going to syn the food as it was another bad day but again will write down everything as need to remember how bad I've been, it was a buffet for starter followed by a gorgeous carvery, it's made me realise my habits have changed as I ate slowly, left stuff on my plate and everyone else felt completely stuffed afterwards whilst I just felt comfortable (despite having 2 desserts which is unheard of for me as don't even usually have one!).

Sunday 16th September (off)

Breakfast: vanilla yogurt, 30g all bran chocolate crunch (HEB)

Lunch:
starter - prawns (sorry Lisa!), rollmop, octupus, squid, salmon, pate, slice of bread, 4x olives, slice of ham, salad

main - 2x roast potatoes, roast beef, parsnip, swede, carrots, mini sausage wrapped in bacon, gravy (and left loads of food)

Desser -vanilla cheesecake, 1/2 slice banoffee pie

Dinner: none

Drinks: squash, soda water and lime cordial, black coffee

Total syns: far too many!

Hiya Helen... Have a great day today and well done on sticking with driving... I can't drive a car, only a motorbike, but it sounds a good way to avoid booze...xxx

Sorry guys I've been bad, wish I could follow my own advice and get back on track after a bad weekend, I'm finding it impossible, I just want to continuously eat.

My meals have been SW friendly but I've been picking and not on fruit!

Back at work today and I've planned my food so here's hoping being at work will stop me, theres a group tonight only about 1/2 hour from home and I'm tempted to go even though it'll be bad just to kick start me.

Hope everyone's well and fairing better than me! X

Morning Helen, we can all talk the talk but sometimes we just need time, take pressure of yourself, don't beat yourself up, what's done is done, however today will be the day where you start again, come on Helen I KNOW you can do this and so do you!!
